4234 - Wikipedia

Chapter 4234 Wisdom Root

Under Du Di's guidance, Chen Yang entered the cave and met the long-lost Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

Ksitigarbha is still the same, wearing white monk robes and as peaceful as warm jade.

After seeing him, you will feel that the storm has stopped and your heart will be at peace.

I feel that no matter what kind of monster it is, it is difficult to invade.

After trying to lure Chen Yang in, he left first.

Chen Yang bowed deeply to Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva and said, "I have seen Bodhisattva before!"

Ksitigarbha smiled slightly and said: "The cultivation level of the little benefactor is now comparable to that of a saint. Even if I, the Buddha, come, you can be on an equal footing with me.

How can I, a poor monk with such a humble deed, be able to withstand such great worship from you?"

Chen Yang was immediately frightened and said: "If the Bodhisattva said this, it would really be a disgrace to this junior.

No matter how the juniors practice, they will not dare to make any mistakes in front of the Bodhisattva.

Likewise, with Bodhisattva's kindness to the younger generation, when the younger generation meets, even if they kneel down three times and kowtow nine times, that is what they should do!"

Ksitigarbha laughed and said: "It's rare. Although the little benefactor has reached heavenly cultivation, he has never forgotten his original intention! Sit down!"

Chen Yang took a seat under Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, and then asked: "By the way, Bodhisattva, Phantom..."

Ksitigarbha frowned slightly and said, "The phantom has disappeared."

Chen Yang was surprised and said: "Disappear?

What does this mean?"

Ksitigarbha said: "This is probably her fate. Her whole body and the universe began to gradually merge into one, and it was difficult for her to have a substantial physical body.

At first, she could occasionally show up, but later, she could no longer show her real body, only her voice.

Three years ago, there was no sound."

Chen Yang remembered that he once fought side by side with Phantom, and then thought of her current situation, he couldn't help but feel sad.

Ksitigarbha said: "How happy is life, how sad is death.

Life and death are just ordinary things, you and I will all have that day, so the little donor need not feel sad!"

Chen Yang said: "Junior and Phantom were once comrades-in-arms, and they had friendship with each other.

Now that I know she has disappeared, all I can do is feel sad for her for a moment, I feel so ashamed!"

Ksitigarbha said: "In fact, there is no need to be ashamed!"

Chen Yang knew that the Bodhisattva was an open-minded person and understood what he meant.

After a while, Ksitigarbha said again: "The little donor came suddenly. Is there something wrong?"

Chen Yang smiled and said: "Speaking of which, I feel ashamed again. I have come back to Earth several times in the past few years, but every time I forget to visit the Bodhisattva."

Ksitigarbha said: "The little benefactor is busy with his affairs, so it is understandable."

Chen Yang said: "This junior is going to the fairy world again soon. In recent years, a lot of things have happened, and I want to tell you about them."

King Ksitigarbha said: "I would like to hear the details!"

Chen Yang immediately told many things about the immortal world, fighting with Yuan Yun Zhong, fighting with Li Changye, fighting with Tiandao Bi...

Then he talked about the multiverse, Hongmeng Taoist, and the various encounters of Zipao in the Zipao universe, etc.!

"When I came back, I was worried that my family would have the same experience.

Fortunately, my eldest brother is very different from the Luo Feng of that universe.

Now that I think about it carefully, I still feel that I don’t know what caused such a huge difference.

I’m also afraid that sooner or later it will come back to me again!”

When Chen Yang said this, the doubts in his heart were also expressed.

After hearing this, Ksitigarbha fell into silence.

After a long time, he said: "The poor monk has been studying the cause and effect of Buddhism, and he only realized that the Buddhist principle and cause and effect are intertwined with each other. The world in the Buddha is vast, profound and profound.

Even if a poor monk spends his whole life, he can only understand a little bit.

Now when I hear these things from you, the little donor, I feel that I am really a frog in the well.

This universe is so vast and terrifying!"

Chen Yang said: "Human power is limited, and the universe seems limited, but to humans, it is infinite.

So when we use limited human power to speculate on the infinite universe, we naturally find it terrifying!"

King Ksitigarbha said: "What the little benefactor said is true!"

After saying that, he added: "Faced with the current situation, it is difficult for the poor monk with his meager knowledge to guide the little benefactor in any direction."

Chen Yang said: "Buddhists say that everything is empty except cause and effect! The universe is so big that we can't even imagine its boundaries.

However, no matter how big things are, they spread from tiny points.

Therefore, you can see the big from the small.

The infinite can be inferred from the finite... As the saying goes, all dharmas have the same origin!"

King Ksitigarbha said: "What the little donor said is indeed very reasonable!"

Chen Yang said: "My foolish opinion makes the Bodhisattva laugh."

Ksitigarbha said: "The amount of information that the little donor said today is really too great, and it was difficult for the poor monk to digest it for a while."

Chen Yang said: "Junior can wait. I will leave tomorrow morning!"

Ksitigarbha said: "The key question is, little donor, what do you want to know?"

Chen Yang said: "Junior wants to know how should I go in the future?"

Ksitigarbha laughed and said: "This is a big problem. The little donor is posing a big problem for the poor monk!"

Chen Yang smiled and said: "What is mystery, what is Zen philosophy?

He also said that there are mysteries everywhere and Zen opportunities everywhere.

Is it a mystery that has emerged, or a Zen message that has emerged?

Who can tell clearly.

Sometimes the juniors feel that they understand a lot, but sometimes they feel that they understand nothing.

What you see and hear may not be true.”

“Interesting, interesting!”

Ksitigarbha said: "The little donor seems to be confused when he comes back this time, but compared with before, he is already very different! Confusion is normal, and great wisdom is real.

If a person thinks he is absolutely right, that is the beginning of his destruction."

Chen Yang said: "What the Bodhisattva said is absolutely true!"

That night, Chen Yang stayed in Ksitigarbha's cave.

He saw many demons kneeling down and worshiping devoutly outside the cave, and felt a little weird in his heart.

But after a second thought, I thought clearly again.

When the demons kneel down and worship, although they are worshiping the Bodhisattva, they actually seek peace of mind.

Just like someone who has done something wrong and is troubled all night long, so he goes to the Buddha to repent and kowtow, thinking that as long as he sincerely regrets, the Buddha will forgive him.

Because this is the truth in the Buddhist scriptures!

In this way, you will feel at ease.

Ksitigarbha is here to play this role.

The next morning, I prepared breakfast and invited Chen Yang and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva to have a meal.

The meal is ordinary roasted sweet potatoes and some rice soup.

Chen Yang ate some and asked Ksitigarbha: "Does the Bodhisattva still need these ordinary foods?"

Ksitigarbha said: "Ordinary food can help poor monks understand the sufferings of ordinary people.

If you stand too high, you need to look down."

Chen Yang said: "That's it!"

Ksitigarbha smiled and said, "Little donor, if you have anything to say, please speak directly."

Chen Yang said: "Please forgive me for being bold, junior. Is this behavior of the Bodhisattva considered a Buddhist sign?"

Ksitigarbha said: “What is the appearance?

If you are obsessed with form, then you are just obsessed with appearance?"

Chen Yang was speechless.

King Ksitigarbha said: "If you feel that you are attached to the phase, then you are attached to the phase.

If you feel that you have no attachment, that means you have no attachment.

What matters is that you want to do it.

I still want to show it to others!”

Chen Yang suddenly realized, "Bodhisattva is the true wisdom!"

Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva changed the subject and said: "Last night, the little benefactor saw many demons kneeling down outside. What was he thinking?"

Chen Yang said: "This junior is thinking that this hell will never be empty."

Ksitigarbha said: "Yes, it will indeed not be empty!"

Chen Yang said: "There are too many big principles and small principles."

Ksitigarbha said: "These sentient beings cannot be saved."

Chen Yang said: "Junior knows that this is your wish. Even if you can't complete it, you should try your best to do it.

He who can save one person is one person!"

Ksitigarbha said: "This is the truth!"

Chen Yang fell into silence.

Ksitigarbha said: "What is the little donor thinking?"

Chen Yang said: "We are always busy, you are also busy, I am also busy, all living beings are busy! Is busyness the truth of life?

Some people believe in Buddhism and do not step on ants or eat meat.

But they forget that the vegetables they eat are also part of the soul.

In other words, as long as living beings are alive, you have to eat me and I eat you, forming a big cycle."

Ksitigarbha said: "This is the principle that cause and effect are not empty!"

Chen Yang said: "Why can't we let go?

Put down the busyness, put down everything, and seek to be at ease both physically and mentally.”

Ksitigarbha said: "The key problem is that even if you let go, you will not be able to feel at ease physically and mentally."

Chen Yang was startled, then said: "That's true!"

After a pause, he continued: "In Buddhism, there is a saying that slandering the Buddha has infinite consequences and will lead to eternal hell.

Since Buddha is compassionate, how can he punish people to hell just because they were scolded a few times?

In this case, isn't this Buddha like a tyrant who cannot tolerate the slightest disrespect?"

Ksitigarbha smiled slightly and said: "Since the young benefactor has great wisdom, why do you need to ask this question?

If someone says that slandering the Buddha will lead to eternal hell, it can only be said that this person has ulterior motives and uses the name of the Buddha to tarnish the wisdom of our Buddha.

When he said this, he had to bear the consequences.

There is another saying among Buddhists: I, the Buddha, am compassionate. If you slander the Buddha, you must have anger and hatred in your heart.

This anger and hatred will lead to some causes and effects."

Chen Yang said: "That's it!"

King Ksitigarbha said: "In the immortal world, you should have seen my Buddha?"

Chen Yang said: "The younger generation has indeed seen it, but what the younger generation saw seems to be different from the Buddha in the minds of Buddhists!"

King Ksitigarbha said: “In the hearts of people in the Buddhist sect, I, the Buddha, am omnipotent.

That is a fiction and untrue.

So, you say it's different, that's normal.

What exactly is Buddha?

Is it compassion?

Is it peace of mind?”

Chen Yang said: "I just want to ask for advice, what exactly is a Buddha?"
