Chapter 298 'Shangqing Taoist Art'

A piece of "Shangqing Tao Jue" contains thousands of words. It is very mysterious, and many of them are in the format of ancient prose. Ning Chen can only understand it but not understand it.

The cultivation method thousands of years ago was obviously different from today, and the cultivation system was also different, which involved Ning Chen's knowledge blind spot.

Seeing Ning Chen's appearance, Zhang Mian smiled gently and said: "Be calm and listen to me slowly explain to you."

Ning Chen nodded, calmed down and listened carefully.

This "Shangqing Tao Jue" must be very unusual. Zhang Mian is still practicing. Ning Chen understands that this is his opportunity and needs to memorize and understand it carefully.

""Shangqing Tao Jue" is a Taoist cultivation method that reaches the immortal gate. It is divided into nine chapters..." Zhang Mian said: "It sounds complicated, but in fact, Taoist cultivation can be described simply in a few words.

Summary - practice qi and refine spirit."

"Let's talk about Qi training first. Taoist practice is divided into several realms. The first one is Qi training, which can also be called foundation building."

"As the name suggests, it is to breathe in the vitality of heaven and earth, incorporate it into oneself, use the Dantian as the spiritual embryo, accumulate and nourish the spiritual energy, and turn the spiritual energy into one's own strength."

"Of course, the word 'qi training' is not that simple, nor is it just the first major realm of Taoist practice."

"In fact, the word 'qi training' runs through the first three realms of Taoist practice..."

Listening to Zhang Mian's words slowly opened Ning Chen's eyes, as if he had opened another door to cultivation. Inside the door was another world, full of flowers and dazzling colors.

Taoist practice is also divided into nine realms, Qi training (foundation building), Yuan condensation, Jindan, Yuanying, leaving the body, distraction, returning to Yuan, Mahayana, and transcending tribulations.

It is completely different from today's cultivation system, and the cultivation methods are also completely different.

Nowadays, the ninth level of martial arts starts from the physical body, and the lower three levels train muscles, forge bones, and exchange blood to temper the body. Fortunately, the fourth level starts from the outside to the inside, and the Gang Qi is born.

However, the Taoist cultivation system starts with "qi" from the beginning, not focusing on the physical body, but focusing on "qi and spirit".

The first three realms, Foundation Building, Yuan Condensation, and Golden Elixir, are actually all “qi training”.

The first level of foundation building is to absorb vitality and store it in the Dantian.

When there is more and more spiritual energy in the Dantian, it begins to compress the vitality of heaven and earth, making the vitality of heaven and earth more condensed. Finally, it changes from gaseous state to liquid state, forming true energy.

This is the second realm of condensation.

Afterwards, the true essence will undergo further compression and become a quasi-solid state, and the spiritual energy of heaven and earth will be condensed to form a solid like elixir. This is the golden elixir.

The ancients once said, "When you swallow a golden elixir, you will realize that your destiny is not determined by God." Only when you form a golden elixir can you truly achieve success in cultivating the Taoism.

But it’s just a small success.

After the Golden Elixir comes the Nascent Soul.

When you reach the realm of Yuanying, you have entered the level of cultivating "gods", accumulating the golden elixir, and finally the elixir becomes a baby, transforming into a spiritual body, which is the so-called Yuanying.

There have been many theories since ancient times as to where Yuanying comes from and what it is. Zhang Mian’s explanation is that it is the soul, or the human mind and spirit.

The Nascent Soul is a spiritual body, intangible and without substance, but it actually exists.

At this level, you are already considered a master. As long as your soul is immortal, you will not die even if your physical body is seriously injured. You can even leave your body as a last resort. As long as you find a suitable body in a short time, you can use the corpse to resurrect the soul and seize the body.

regeneration.

Nascent Soul, out-of-body experience, and distraction, these three realms are the "gods" of cultivation.

But in the final stages of returning to the Yuan, Mahayana, and overcoming tribulations, the "Tao" that is cultivated is even more illusory and mysterious.

Zhang Mian did not give Ning Chen a specific explanation of the last three realms. He only said that "the Tao is ineffable." If Ning Chen could cultivate to that level, he would naturally understand.

After listening to these words, Ning Chen gained some understanding of the Taoist cultivation system.

To put it simply, Taoist cultivation does not focus on the physical body, but only cultivates the soul. In fact, it includes the first three realms of "qi training", and its purpose is also to lay the foundation for the subsequent "spiritual training".

This is another cultivation system, a different path from the ninth level of martial arts.

Ning Chen could faintly feel that not only were their cultivation methods different, but their ultimate goals might also be different. It was just that he did not understand Gui Yuan, Mahayana, and Tribulation Transcendence, and he had not cultivated to the upper third level of the ninth level of martial arts. What were the specifics?

Different, he still couldn't tell after all.

Later, Zhang Mian carefully explained "Shangqing Tao Jue" to Ning Chen.

The reason why I told Ning Chen about the "Nine Realms of Taoism" before was to let Ning Chen have a clear understanding of this cultivation system. Now I will talk about the secret of cultivation in "Shangqing Tao Jue" so that Ning Chen can confirm it with the "Nine Realms of Taoism", which is better.

Understand and realize.

A mysterious and mysterious "Shangqing Tao Jue" was analyzed by Zhang Mian and transformed into words that Ning Chen could understand, which made him fascinated when listening to it.

It turns out...it can still be like this.

"Do you understand?" Zhang Mian asked.

Ning Chen shook his head, not quite understanding.

Zhang Mian smiled and said: "It doesn't matter, take your time."

He told Ning Chen that he was here today. Ning Chen had missed the best time to practice. Every morning, the first ray of sunlight fell, which contained a ray of dense purple energy. It was the most important thing in Taoist Qi training, and it was regarded as "

Medicine guide".

But today is over and we can only wait until tomorrow.

Of course, Ning Chen does not need to regret. He still needs to carefully study the "Shangqing Dao Jue", at least understand the "Foundation Building Chapter", and be prepared for tomorrow's practice.

Ning Chen spent the whole day meditating on the "Shangqing Tao Jue".

Zhang Mian was very patient and meditated beside him. Occasionally he would open his eyes and explain some of his doubts to Ning Chen, and then continued to meditate.

During this period, staff from the Lushan Scenic Area arrived and asked Ning Chen and the two to leave, but Ning Chen responded as a warrior. Then the staff from the scenic area specially fenced off the area to prevent other tourists from disturbing the two.

This is the privilege of a warrior.

...

The next day, Ning Chen looked to the east.

At this moment, the clouds and mist are steaming in the distance, making it difficult to see the scenery clearly. It makes people feel as if they are on the top of the clouds, and a beam of red light suddenly lights up, piercing the clouds and clouds, and revealing the sun.

This is the first ray of dawn in the morning.

Zhang Mian sat cross-legged and breathed in. He saw a wisp of purple smoke flying towards him and was inhaled into his nostrils, which reminded Ning Chen of a poem - the sun shines on the incense burner and produces purple smoke.

This poem also describes Lushan Mountain. Ning Chen suspects that the so-called purple smoke is nothing else but the dense purple gas.

Immediately, Ning Chen also silently recited the method of "Shangqing Dao Jue", breathed in and out according to a special rhythm, and attracted the first ray of purple energy from the rising red sun in the sky and earth.

However, it was not successful at first. Ning Chen's understanding of "Shangqing Dao Jue" was still lacking. It was his first time to try to attract the dense purple energy, and he had no experience.

Seeing the red sun gradually rising, and the dense purple air about to dissipate, Ning Chen looked at the scene where the sea of clouds met the red sun, and suddenly felt blessed, opening up his body and mind, and breathing in.

A wisp of purple energy seemed to be summoned and flew towards him...
