"Interesting, interesting!" Ksitigarbha said: "The little benefactor came back this time. He seemed still confused, but compared with before, he was already very different! Confusion is normal, and great wisdom is also real. A
If people think they are absolutely right, this is the beginning of their destruction.”
Chen Yang said: "What the Bodhisattva said is absolutely true!"
That night, Chen Yang stayed in Ksitigarbha's cave.
He saw many demons kneeling down and worshiping devoutly outside the cave, and felt a little weird in his heart.
But after a second thought, I thought clearly again.
When the demons kneel down and worship, although they are worshiping the Bodhisattva, they actually seek peace of mind.
Just like someone who has done something wrong and has trouble sleeping all night, so he goes to the Buddha to repent and kowtow, thinking that as long as he sincerely regrets, the Buddha will forgive him. Because this is the truth in the Buddhist scriptures!
In this way, you will feel at ease.
Ksitigarbha is here to play this role.
The next morning, I prepared breakfast and invited Chen Yang and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva to have a meal.
The meal is ordinary roasted sweet potatoes and some rice soup.
Chen Yang ate some and asked Ksitigarbha: "Does the Bodhisattva still need these ordinary foods?"
Ksitigarbha said: "Ordinary food can let poor monks know the sufferings of ordinary people. If you stand too high, you need to look down."
Chen Yang said: "That's it!"
Ksitigarbha smiled and said, "Little donor, if you have anything to say, please speak directly."
Chen Yang said: "Please forgive me for being bold, junior. Is this behavior of the Bodhisattva considered a Buddhist sign?"
Ksitigarbha said: "What is the appearance? If you are attached to the form, then you have the appearance?"
Chen Yang was speechless.
King Ksitigarbha said: "If you think you are attached, then you are attached. If you feel you are not attached, then you are not attached. What matters is whether you want to do this or show it to others!"
Chen Yang suddenly realized, "Bodhisattva is the true wisdom!"
Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva changed the subject and said: "Last night, when the little donor saw many demons kneeling down outside, what was he thinking?"
Chen Yang said: "This junior is thinking that this hell will never be empty."
Ksitigarbha said: "Yes, it will indeed not be empty!"
Chen Yang said: "There are too many big principles and small principles."
Ksitigarbha said: "These sentient beings cannot be saved."
Chen Yang said: "Junior knows that this is your wish. Even if you can't complete it, you should try your best. If you can save someone, you are a person!"
Ksitigarbha said: "This is the truth!"
Chen Yang fell into silence. Ksitigarbha asked: "What is the little donor thinking?"
Chen Yang said: "We are always busy, you are busy, I am also busy, all living beings are busy! Is busyness the principle of life? Some people believe in Buddhism and do not step on ants or eat meat. But they forget
The food you eat is also a part of the living being. In other words, as long as the living being is alive, you have to eat me, and I eat you, forming a big cycle."
Ksitigarbha said: "This is the principle that cause and effect are not empty!"
Chen Yang said: "Why can't we all let go? Let go of the busyness, let go of everything, and seek freedom in body and mind."
Ksitigarbha said: "The key problem is that even if you let go, you will not be able to feel at ease physically and mentally."
Chen Yang was startled, and then said: "That's true!" After a pause, he added: "In Buddhism, there is a saying that slandering the Buddha has infinite cause and effect, and you will go to endless hell. Since the Buddha is compassionate, how can he be punished for it?
Punishing people to hell after just a few curses? So, wouldn’t this Buddha be like a tyrant who cannot tolerate the slightest disrespect?”
Ksitigarbha smiled slightly and said: "Since the young benefactor has great wisdom, why do you need to ask this question? If someone says that slandering the Buddha will lead to eternal hell, then it can only be said that this person has ulterior motives and uses the name of the Buddha.
He is slandering the wisdom of our Buddha. He said this because he wanted to bear the consequences. There is another saying in Buddhism. Our Buddha is compassionate. If you slander the Buddha, you must have anger and hatred in your heart. This anger and hatred
, will lead to some cause and effect."
Chen Yang said: "That's it!"
King Ksitigarbha said: "In the immortal world, you should have seen my Buddha?"
Chen Yang said: "The younger generation has indeed seen it, but what the younger generation saw seems to be different from the Buddha in the minds of Buddhists!"
King Ksitigarbha said: "In the minds of people in Buddhism, I, the Buddha, am omnipotent. That is a fiction and unreal. So, it is normal for you to say it is different. What is a Buddha? Is it compassion? Yes.
Peace of mind?"
Chen Yang said: "I just want to ask for advice, what exactly is a Buddha?"
