Chapter 51: Law Without Me

On a mountain road heading south from Tianmu Mountain in Wuyue Kingdom, walking was a middle-aged scribe holding a long sword and wearing a green robe. His elegant face was worn by the world and was slightly thinner. It was Chu who left the academy to look for Mahilan's whereabouts.

south wind.

He had traveled to many mountains in the past few months, and when he heard that there was a pond on the east and west peaks of Tianmu Mountain in Wuyue, he also looked for it. Unfortunately, after several days of searching in the mountains, there was no trace of Mahilan, so he had no choice but to go down the mountain and go south, thinking about it.

A trip to Wuyi Mountain in Fujian.

After having lunch in a village, after walking for half an hour, I saw the sky changed drastically and dark clouds shrouded me. I thought it was going to rain heavily, but I saw a beggar in ragged clothes and disheveled hair in front of me, not far to the right.

I ran towards the hill, thinking that maybe there was a temple in the hill to shelter from the rain, so I followed the beggar quickly.

Located on the west side of the mountain, there is indeed a mountain temple built facing the west. It has small roof tiles but no temple door. As the beggar entered the temple, he saw the statue of the god on the confession table and no incense burner.

I think the bronze statue was stolen and exchanged for money.

The beggar walked to the confession case, squatted down and took out a pile of straw from under the case, took some and spread it in the west corner. He pointed at the remaining straw towards Chu Nanfeng, as if to remind him that this straw could be used to spread the floor and rest.

.

Chu Nanfeng guessed that the beggar must have settled in this temple. He nodded and thanked him, but the beggar did not answer. At this time, amidst the thunder and heavy rain, Chu Nanfeng spread out the straw.

Sit cross-legged and meditate to rest.

After a while, two monks appeared in the rain. They were walking leisurely under such heavy rain. When they entered the temple, one of them, an old monk who was nearly seventy years old, was soaked to the skin with water dripping from his eyebrows and beard.

, and another monk who is thin and in his fifties wears dry clothes and shoes.

When the monk in his fifties saw Chu Nanfeng, his expression was greatly surprised. He walked towards Chu Nanfeng who had already stood up and bowed to him: "Ming Wu has seen Mr. Chu." But it was Ming who Luo Xiaoyao was looking for everywhere.

No monks.

Chu Nanfeng held his hand and returned the gift, but saw a cloud of mist covering the old monk's body, which quickly dissipated. However, his clothes, beard, and shoes were already dry, with no trace of moisture visible.

If we talk about moving Qi all over the body and steaming the water vapor out of clothes, Chu Nanfeng can do it even with Chu Nanfeng's skills. However, Chu Nanfeng felt inferior to him with just a few clicks of his fingers like an old monk. Looking at the old monk's cultivation level,

He has not yet entered the Golden Body Realm, and seems to have never hidden his cultivation. Chu Nanfeng was surprised and bowed before him: "Chu Nanfeng has met the master."

When the old monk heard that Ming Wu called Chu Nanfeng sir, his face was slightly surprised. Seeing Chu Nanfeng salute, he said in agreement: "Old monk Wenyi has seen layman Chu." After saying this, he looked at the straw on the ground.

He leaned over and spread his legs, then sat down cross-legged. Ming Wu waited for Chu Nanfeng to sit down before sitting down on Wen Yi's left side with his legs crossed.

Wen Yi looked at Ming Wu and said calmly: "You walked with the old monk in the rain, and your Qi prevented the raindrops from touching your clothes. At this time, the old monk also had dry clothes and shoes like you, but what he did in the middle was different. This

It’s just that the “meaning” is different.”

It turned out that Monk Mingwu accidentally listened to Chu Nanfeng's words in Xizhou, realized the beauty of the six senses of martial arts, broke the true body indestructible skills that he had practiced for many years, and dispersed the Gang Qi that had been tightened on the skin and flesh for thousands of times.

All the acupuncture points and qi machines on the body are suddenly connected, and suddenly the soul is clear and clear, the qi and blood flow smoothly, and one enters the realm of the golden body.

He had been obsessed with martial arts for decades, and also practiced in Pure Land Sect, which is mainly based on his power and mindfulness. He suddenly realized the wonder of Zen, and wanted to practice both Pure and Zen. He returned to "Baoguang Temple" and begged the abbot Yuanjue to give him a precept.

, I went to the "Valley Temple" in Tianzhu Mountain to practice Zen.

The meaning of Zen can only be understood and cannot be expressed in words. Seeing that Ming Ming had no desire to seek enlightenment, the Zen master of "Valley Temple" recommended him to seek the Dharma from Master Wenyi of Qingliang Temple.

Master Wenyi's Zen way is famous for "just stick to it and follow the flow", which means that the words of communication are ordinary and easy to understand, which can make people see the nature of mind immediately and immediately save all sentient beings.

Traveling in Fujian, I searched for him all the way, and met Wen Yi on his way back. Along the way, I asked Wen Yi for advice on the true meaning of Buddhism. It happened to be a heavy rain and I took shelter in the temple, but I also ran into Chu Nanfeng.

When listening to Wen Yi's words, Ming Wu thought for a moment, lowered his head and said, "Ming Wu is stupid, I hope the master will enlighten me."

Wen Yi smiled slightly: "The six roots of eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind, based on the six roots, six realms arise, and six consciousnesses are obtained, which are called the eighteen realms; the mind root is the source of these eighteen realms, and the sight of lust

When the ears hear bad words, they become angry; when the nose smells the fragrance, they love; when the tongue tastes sweet food, they think about it; when the body touches it, they feel fear; joy, anger, love, thought, and fear are all caused by the thoughts, so they have "mind".

Desire for law."

"The Dharma may be righteous or evil. You may become lustful when you see beauty, or you may be greedy when you see gold or silver. Or it may be like our Buddha who is compassionate and suppresses evil and promotes good. When you see heavy rain falling, you spread your qi around your body to prevent it from touching you.

, It is caused by the thought of my own law. Although I see myself in my own body, it does not mean that I am without myself."

Wen Yi looked at Ming Wu who was deep in thought, "There are also some monks who practice ascetic practices and meditate, endure hunger and wind and rain, and seek selflessness for the body, but in the end they cannot achieve the goal of selflessness..."

"The body has no self? The law has no self?" Ming Wu chanted, with a face that seemed to understand but not understand.

"Amitabha, when the old monk was traveling twenty years ago, he saw an old man who was as skinny as a stick and passed out on the ground on the road in Huzhou. He took her to the "Baofeng Temple" where she was listed. When she woke up, the old monk was trying to find out where she came from.

, but when she saw the old monk and others, she cursed loudly, saying that the monks were all fake and compassionate."

"After many monks persuaded her, she finally told the truth. It turned out that she had lost her husband in her early years and had two sons. One son died on the battlefield and the other left home to become a monk. She was old and sick, and she missed her beloved son and wanted to see him.

When I found him in the temple, I didn't expect the monk to be there, but he avoided seeing him."

Mingwu lowered his head and said, "Amitabha, sin, sin."

"The old man asked again, how can he give a porridge to someone from another family and meet him once, but he refuses even a drop of water to his own mother and just disappears? Aren't you monks pretending to be compassionate? These are the six roots you are asking for.

Qingjing? What he said is that all living beings are equal... At that time, all the monks in the temple were speechless and did not know how to respond."

Wen Yi stopped, with a solemn expression, and continued slowly: "At that time, the old monk saw that the tree was just a tree, no big or small, no dry and prosperous. The next day, he set out to go back to his hometown to visit his old parents, once a year from then on.

, just like being friends with foreigners, until the two old men die." A look of solemnity appeared on Chu Nanfeng's face.

"When the six roots are pure, the cause and effect of life and death are resolved; the meaning of ending is like repaying debts in the world. The relationship between parents and parents can be avoided and broken; but as the old man said, all living beings are equal... so treat parents as such.

What's wrong with treating each other as a benefactor? If there is no self in the heart, then naturally there will be no self in the Dharma, Amitabha."

Ming Wu also chanted the Nuofu chant, then closed his eyes and remained silent. Wen Yi and Chu Nanfeng knew that he had enlightenment, so he did not bother him. After half a stick of incense, Ming Wu Fang opened his eyes and faced

Wen Yi bowed his head and said, "Ming Wu, thank you very much for your guidance, Master."

When he raised his head, Chu Nanfeng saw that there was a certain degree of solemnity in his peaceful expression, and knew that he had made great progress in cultivation.

"Everything is not predestined, how can it be seen as an illusion." Wen Yi looked at Chu Nanfeng with a smile, "Chu layman, have you ever seen the old monk's martial arts cultivation?"

Chu Nanfeng didn't expect Wen Yi to ask such a question, and couldn't help but be startled. In Buddhism, there is a way of physical body, entering the clear orifice to the golden body state, and there is also a way of spiritual consciousness, cultivating spiritual thoughts to the golden body state; and cultivating Buddhism

People who are determined to cut off the cause and effect of life and death will not condense their natal elixirs and bind themselves when practicing martial arts. Therefore, the Buddhist practice of using spiritual consciousness to enter martial arts is also the same as the Mingqiao realm. There are valleys, foothills, and mountainsides.

The top of the mountain.

Although Chu Nanfeng had studied Buddhist techniques, he was not proficient in them. However, seeing that Wen Yi's current level of cultivation should be at the top of Shen Nian Mountain, which was equivalent to his own attainment of Bao Dan, when they met for the first time, he asked him this, so he thought it must be

He had a deep meaning, but for the moment he didn’t dare to answer.

"Publicly Master Chu thought that the old monk had hidden his cultivation..." Seeing his hesitation, Wen Yi smiled and continued: "If the old monk and Mingwu met the rain, the consciousness of the soul had already reached this mountain.

In the temple, the physical body waits and Mingwu arrives here, and then the spiritual consciousness returns to the body, the six senses are restored, and the qi circulates to remove the rain. It must be difficult for people to believe...but it is indeed the case."

When one reaches the level of Yuanying, one’s natal womb elixir spiritual consciousness is enlightened, and one can realize “mind state connection”. When one reaches the realm of golden body, one’s Yuan Shen can penetrate clear and clear, and one can also obtain “spiritual state connection”. Both of them can use spiritual consciousness.

But it has never been heard in the world that people at the top of Shen Nian Mountain can do it, not to mention that when it rains, they should be more than a hundred feet away from this temple. Even those who have achieved Yuan Ying cannot do it.

Ming Wu met Wen Yi two days ago, but he was also suspicious of Wen Yi's cultivation level at the top of the mountain in the Divine Mind Realm. When he heard this, he couldn't help but look at Chu Nanfeng, and both of them felt shocked.

"Ming Wu, you came from my Buddha's Pure Land sect and cultivated your mind power, and others entered the Tao. I think you are obsessed with martial arts and have less than careful study of my Buddha's Dharma scriptures. Now you have gained something with your mind. If you enter your mind and know clearly, you should be able to know it.

How can the old monk not achieve a golden body, but still be able to leave his body with his soul?"

Ming Wuyi received Chu Nanfeng's enlightenment and entered the Golden Body Realm. His mind was already enlightened, so he thought about practicing the dual practice of Pure Zen. When Wen Yi asked, a sudden inspiration suddenly appeared in his confusion: "Walking Meditation Concentration"

?The magical power of Zen and forgetfulness?”

Wen Yi's face showed approval, "Buddhist disciples meditate and enter samadhi, which can be divided into walking meditation and sitting meditation. Those who meditate have all five senses: eyes, ears, nose, tongue, and body. They are like ordinary people who fall into a dream and wander to other places, but their consciousness

Before being blinded, the soul is clear and the dream is not a dream, just like the old monk walking in the rain just now. If Mingwu talks to the old monk, the old monk will know it in a breath."

Chu Nanfeng knew that Buddhist martial arts was profound and profound, but since Emperor Taiwu of the Northern Wei Dynasty, Buddhism has experienced three Buddhist tribulations, and many Buddhist martial arts have been lost, such as Ming Wu Dao's "Zen Forgetting Magic", but he has never heard of it.

, but thinking that the soul can leave the body hundreds of feet before reaching the golden body, I feel a secret in my heart; and Wen Yi can now teach his own martial arts to himself, there must be a purpose, and he listens attentively under doubt.

.

“When the six senses are all clear, you can see the six roots enter the six realms and be disturbed by all the disturbances of consciousness, cut off the cause and effect of life and death, and strive for the selflessness of the Dharma... And meditating into meditation to eliminate the consciousness is to eliminate the power of the cause and effect of karma, and achieve the selflessness of the body.

However, as the old monk just practiced meditation; but there are some people who wander away from Zen without knowing it, but they have strayed away from the essence of meditation."

"The essence is the form, the soul consciousness is the spirit, and only when the form and spirit are both harmonious and harmonious can we say that the yin and yang are harmonious and natural. The yang is the main force and the yin is the main force and the yin is the main body.

The soul belongs to Yin. If the physical body does not distinguish between the six roots, the Yang movement is internal, the soul consciousness does not know its way back, and the Yin movement is external, but the form and spirit are separated. Naturally, it is impossible to see the wonder of the unity of heaven and man."

Chu Nanfeng had a thought in his mind, but he thought about the legend that some monks were invincible after entering samadhi, but they were mistaken for sitting down, and their bodies were even destroyed, leaving their souls without support; their bodies were gone, and their six senses were unable to distinguish between yin and yang.

, it is difficult to practice Dafa... After pondering what Wen Yi said, Chu Nanfeng began to think deeply.

When Wen Yi saw this, he smiled slightly and remained silent. For a while, he could only hear the sound of rain outside the temple. After a long time, he heard a sound of thunder. Chu Nanfeng was shocked and came back to his senses.

.

"Amitabha." Wen Yiheshi sang the Buddha's name, looked at Chu Nanfeng and said slowly: "With the cultivation level of a Chu layman, he naturally knows that sitting still means "self-forgetfulness" rather than "self-forgetfulness", just like sailing on a sea of clouds.

, you can travel thousands of miles in one move; but you must remember that it is the boat that moves, not the body that moves, and it is the mind that forgets, not the spirit that forgets.”

Chu Nanfeng was shocked when he heard Wen Yi say again: "It should be done outside the surface, but also within the Dharma."

But thinking that "the Yang Lord comes out, the Yin Lord comes in", and now he heard "beyond the surface, within the Dharma"; Chu Nanfeng, who was originally enlightened, thought about it, and thought about business.

Close your eyes and draw your Qi while walking on the surface of your body. You will feel that the pores are neither dry nor cold, the yin and yang are harmonious, and the consciousness of the natal fetal pill warmed in the Heavenly Pass suddenly becomes clear, and all things are silent in an instant.

But I feel my spiritual consciousness leaping out, leading the Qi of heaven and earth to flow smoothly on the surface of the skin, and my consciousness distributes the essence Qi in the hundreds of meridians, which can already serve two purposes. At this time, nothing is stagnant within five feet of the body, and the Qi from inside and outside gathers on the surface of the skin.

If you go into a hall, enter a room, and sit in complete silence, you are entering the realm of Nascent Soul.

Chu Nanfeng's entry into the "Nascent Soul" at this time and place can be said to be very dangerous, but with the skills of Wen Yi and Ming Wu, if someone has evil intentions towards him, he will definitely be seriously injured.

After he met Wen Yi, he listened to the mysterious meaning of Wen Yi's sentences and walked slowly, as if he had some enlightenment. After realizing the wonderful truth, he dared to enter the hall and enter the realm of Yuanying. Even so, he was still in trouble.

Set up a defensive line within five feet.

But when Ming Wu had his enlightenment in Xizhou, when the Gang Qi on his skin was broken, the Qi in his body was penetrated, and he entered the golden body realm. If it was said to be dangerous, it would be after he broke his true body.

The time of practice.

After leaving Xizhou City, Ming Wuyi found a cave, meditated and adjusted his breath for ten days, and then he solidified the foundation of the Golden Body Realm. But after receiving Wen Yi's enlightenment and enlightenment, he finally entered the Golden Body Realm.

Hui Shengqi’s “Shenjingtong” has great benefits.

Different from Ming Wu's uncultivated body method, Chu Nanfeng was now enlightened, and his natal fetal elixir divine consciousness jumped out to respond. This natural entry has a solid foundation, and it is not a matter of retreating and practicing Qi to awaken the fetal elixir god in the future.

The entry of consciousness is comparable, and Chu Nanfeng naturally does not want to miss this opportunity. At this time, in addition to the spiritual consciousness, he has already entered the realm of self-forgetfulness.

Wen Yi and Ming Wu saw Chu Nanfeng's solemn expression and the flow of Qi around his body. Knowing that he had entered the country, they instantly moved to the wall where the beggar was. Ming Wu raised his hand to seal the acupoints of the stunned beggar and made him fall asleep.

.

Chu Nanfeng's Qi circulated all over his body, and the yin and yang qi blended together. He felt like a feather floating lightly with the airflow, landing on a mountain peak, with a vast sea below. A burst of refreshing fresh air blew in.

The Qi circulated and exhaled in the lungs; but all the pulses felt relaxed, and I fell into a leisurely sleep. I dreamed that I was lying on the sea with gentle waves, and while I was walking leisurely, the waves suddenly surged, and I was sent into the clouds.

Between the blue sky and white clouds, a colorful smoke floated from nowhere, lingering around his body. The fragrance filled his nostrils, and the energy and blood in his body blended together. He looked down and saw a mountain peak sitting on it.

A man, in the haze, saw that his appearance was very similar to his own, so he jumped down from the clouds, but he seemed to wake up from a dream, and he was the only one on the entire mountain peak.

I also saw the sea water rising from the bottom of the peak, actually submerging the peak, and slowly flowing to my side. I lifted my body up and followed the waves, feeling refreshed and contented.

Suddenly seeing a wave of waves splashing, Chu Nanfeng's heart was filled with ripples. Fang came out from the realm. His consciousness suddenly became clear and he opened his eyes. Under the moonlight, Ming Wu was sitting cross-legged at the door of the temple about ten feet away.

But seeing that Chu Nan's spirit was restrained, but his expression was so heroic, he was unaware that he had accomplished his great work and entered the realm of Yuanying. He bowed his head and said, "Amitabha, good, good. Mr. Chu is a genius in this world, and there are more than 20 of them.

In time, the merits will be complete."

Chu Nanfeng never expected that he could enter the Nascent Soul Realm steadily in such a short period of time. He held his hands to Ming Wu in joy and said, "Thank you, Master, for protecting me."

When I glanced at him, I saw the beggar leaning against the corner, looking at me with a puzzled expression, but Master Wen Yi was no longer there. Knowing that he must have left, I asked, "When will Master Wen Yi leave?"

"

"After the rain stopped yesterday evening, Master went to Jiangning Qingliangyuan."

Chu Nanfeng sighed in his heart. He and Wen Yi met for the first time, but Wen Yi gave some advice. Naturally, he felt extremely grateful. After listening to Ming Wu's words, he nodded, thinking that he would go to Qingliang Temple to express his gratitude.

.

Mingwu seemed to read his thoughts and smiled slightly, "Master said before leaving that Mr. Chu would not have to worry about this opportunity in his heart, but it would free Master from the fetters of earthly fate."

Chu Nanfeng had a clear mind, and after listening to Ming Wu's words, he understood what he meant. When Buddhists save others, they also save themselves. If they want others to repay their kindness, the worldly ties will become more and more complicated.

"Master Wenyi entered the world and preached the Dharma with the purpose of eliminating the worldly mind, not to mention that Mr. Chu has a predestined relationship with our Buddhist sect...Amitabha, that's good, that's good." Mingwu continued.

Chu Nanfeng's heart skipped a beat. He had never forgotten Mahilan in his life. He had already made up his mind to search for Mahilan for the rest of his life. However, for a moment, he was puzzled by Mingwu's predestined relationship with the Buddha.

Ming Wu entered the Golden Body Realm and saw Chu Nanfeng's fleeting expression of surprise. He glanced at the sky on Chu Nanfeng's forehead and said, "Master Wen Yi's Dharma eyes are like torches. I don't know how he can see Chu Nanfeng."

The spiritual consciousness of Mr. Chu’s natal fetal pill. When Mr. Chu entered the realm of samadhi, the master once spoke to the young monk. Because he saw that the spiritual consciousness of Mr. Chu’s fetal pill carries three parts of Buddha nature, he gave instructions to Mr. Chu to enter.”

A person who uses essence, energy, and blood to condense the natal fetal pill naturally has the luck of a person who condenses the pill. Chu Nanfeng has followed Yi Wuwei in Taibai Academy since he was a child. Apart from having murderous intentions because of Ma Xilan, it can be regarded as

It is appropriate to say that he has the Buddha nature because he is independent of the world.

Chu Nanfeng smiled bitterly when he heard this, but was surprised by Wen Yi's cultivation, and said: "I think it is Master Wen Yi who has developed the "clairvoyance" and can escape the qi machine and see the human fetal elixir spiritual consciousness."

Mingwu thought that this was also the case, so he nodded in agreement; he glanced at the dawn sky and said, "I wonder why Mr. Chu came to this place of Wuyue?"

Chu Nanfeng was not in a position to tell the truth, but he didn't want to deceive Mingwu either. He hesitated a little and said, "I came to Wuyue land after searching for the whereabouts of an old friend."

"Have you ever found that gentleman?"

Chu Nanfeng sighed and shook his head.

Seeing his helpless expression, Mingwu asked, "Sir, have you ever found out where this old friend is hiding in Wuyue?"

There was a strong intention to help and inquire; he had received enlightenment from Wen Yi and realized that "following the flow will lead to wonderful things". He saw Buddha everywhere in his eyes, but he wanted to join the world and meditate.

"I don't know where she is hiding? I only know that she is in the mountains by the lake." Chu Nanfeng looked melancholy. At this time, he regarded Mingwu as an acquaintance, and he did not deliberately hide his expression.

.

"A place in the mountains by a lake? This world..." Mingwu was shocked, "There are mountains all over the dynasties. How can we find this? How can Mr. Chu be sure that this old friend is in a place in the mountains with a lake?"

Chu Nanfeng said sadly: "I received the guidance of an eminent Buddhist monk before I knew... There are immortal shadows in one thousand mountains and one river, and one river embraces thousands of mountains? Alas, it is difficult to understand."

Ming Wu heard the words and closed his eyes, meditating without saying a word, thinking that he wanted to understand the place that these thousands of mountains and rivers refer to.

"It doesn't necessarily mean the water in the mountain. What if it's the mountain in the water?" But hearing a voice coming from the west, the beggar leaning on the corner sat up straight and said.

Chu Nanfeng was shocked when he heard this, "A mountain in the water?"

The beggar, who had a dirty face and seemed to be in his thirties, rubbed his eyes, "The beggar has seen many lakes, with many islands on the lakes, surrounded by mountains..." Seeing Ming Wu and Chu Nanfeng looking at him, the beggar

Seemingly sensing something, he hurriedly pulled his hair to cover the right side of his forehead.

When Chu Nanfeng and Mingwu rubbed his eyes, they already saw the word "thief" tattooed on his forehead. They thought he had broken the law and was caught and stabbed by the government. No wonder he was begging for a living in his prime.

Chu Nanfeng thought carefully, but thinking about the many lakes around Chu Land, he thought that Mahilan might be on the lake island as the beggar said, so he stood up and raised his hands to the beggar: "

Thank you brother for reminding me."

Turning to look at Mingwu, "Where is the master's temple?"

Ming Wu hesitated for a moment: "The young monk received the ordination and returned to Baoguang Temple, but..."

He wanted to explain his current situation, but felt it was inappropriate, so he paused. Chu Nanfeng thought that he was just wandering around to practice Zen at the moment, and would definitely return to the temple one day, so he nodded: "If I have some free time in the future,

We are scheduled to visit Guibao Temple. It’s already dawn, so I’ll go ahead and say goodbye.”

Mingwu smiled bitterly in his heart, stood by the temple door, bowed his head and said together: "Amitabha, that's good, that's good."

Chu Nanfeng glanced at the beggar, sighed, took out some broken silver from the purse at his waist, put it on the confession, cupped his hands towards Ming Wu, and walked away quickly.
