The first thousand one hundred and fifty-five chapters (1)

When the lanterns first came on, Dong Zhongshu rode a carriage and stopped outside the residence of his senior brother Hu Wusheng. He looked at the tall courtyard of Hu's residence and hesitated for a while.

Long before Jinshang ascended the throne, Dong Zhongshu and his senior brothers had differences in the theory of Gongyang Studies.

And this difference has become so big that the two of them have become strangers ever since!

But at that time, the two could still maintain a superficial friendship.

And now?

The two of them were actually on the verge of a fight.

In private, it is even more unceremonious to talk about each other's knowledge.

When the disciples and disciples of the two met, they would definitely not give each other a good look.

The reason is that now the two of them have embarked on completely opposite paths.

One advocated that I pay attention to the Spring and Autumn Period, and the other advocated that the Spring and Autumn Festival paid attention to me. They are completely opposite in terms of establishing righteousness, thinking and academics!

Moreover, both of them are professors of Taixue, and each has an academy under his sect, competing with each other for influence and students.

This caused more and more grievances between the two.

To this day, Dong Zhongshu is unwilling to come to see his senior brother unless necessary.

but……

"There are rumors in Weiyang Palace that the emperor wants to resolve certain disputes and clean up some 'out of date' theories during this Shiqu Pavilion meeting, at least to expel them from the textbooks of Imperial College and the scope of examinations..." Dong Zhongshu

Thinking about this incredible rumor that I just got, I couldn't care less about face.

After all, today's emperor's brain circuit is different from that of his father and ancestors, and more similar to Gaodi.

And who is Emperor Gao?

The most Confucian-hating emperor in the world.

From the day he raised his army, he looked down upon Confucian scholars, let alone Confucian knowledge and theory.

Peeing in a Confucian scholar's hat and scolding the Confucian scholar in public are all little kisses.

The most harmful thing that people did to Confucianism was the sentence outside Chenliu City, "Thank you for me, saying that we are taking care of the world and have no time to see Confucian people" and the subsequent "Yan Ke",

It is still the mantra used by all the scholars in the world to ridicule Confucian scholars.

The sentence "I am a disciple of Gaoyang Wine" is enough to make Confucian scholars of any faction hide their faces and run away.

As for when Shusun Tong wore a Confucian crown, Emperor Gao was not happy with it. Later, he changed to wearing a Chu crown, which pleased Emperor Gao. This deeply reflected the founder of the Han Dynasty's attitude towards Confucian scholars besides being disgusted and disgusted.

Apart from that, there are no other senses.

It is no wonder that after King Xiang committed suicide in Wujiang, the Confucian scholars in Lu raised an army to resist, and even wore sackcloth and filial piety, claiming to be loyal to King Xiang.

In fact, the Emperor of the Han Dynasty did not look like a king who would give preferential treatment to Confucian students.

Even Qin Shihuang and Qin II respected Confucian scholars more than he did.

At the very least, Qin Shihuang did not pee in a Confucian scholar's hat... nor did he kick the Confucian scholar into a quagmire to drink muddy water...

Fortunately, today it is still similar to Gao Di.

For Confucian scholars and Confucianism, we can only be wary and vigilant, but not disgusted or bored.

Otherwise, Dong Zhongshu estimates that God has blessed him to be able to go home and farm!

But now, there are major events like the Shiquge Meeting.

Naturally, there is no room for any mistakes.

Even if the Gongyang School cannot become a blockbuster and world-famous above Shiqu Pavilion, it must at least maintain its basic foundation and fundamentals.

The Guliang School must not be allowed to overturn, and the Xunzi School must not be allowed to sit on its head and shit!

Just thinking about such a scene makes me sick to death, let alone what to do if it becomes real!

Thinking of this, Dong Zhongshu finally put aside his grudge and said to his disciple: "Go, hand over the greeting card and say that I want to pay my respects to my senior brother!"

"No!" The disciple hesitated for a moment, then accepted the order and left.

Soon after, the door of Hu's mansion opened, and Dong Zhongshu saw his senior brother Hu Wusheng, leading several of his disciples, to greet him in person.

"Junior brother..." Hu Wushang bowed and said, "I haven't seen you for a long time. Junior brother is still as good as ever...but I am already old and decrepit..."

Dong Zhongshu quickly got out of the car and worshiped: "Zhongshu is not talented, but he is greeted by his senior brother. I am flattered!"

Dong Zhongshu's disciples and disciples all respectfully bowed to Hu Wusheng: "I've seen the beard before!"

Hu Wusheng's disciples also responded: "I have seen Dong Zi..."

Hu Wusheng stepped forward with a smile, took Dong Zhongshu's arm, and said: "Junior brother, I came just in time. I have something to discuss with my junior brother. Tonight, you and I, our junior brothers, will drink heavily all night long and talk about the past and the present..."

"Wei!" Dong Zhongshu said quickly: "How dare you disobey orders..."

Then, his eyes stayed for a long time on a middle-aged official standing next to Hu Wusheng.

Dong Zhongshu was very familiar with that person.

He is currently Hu Wusheng's number one disciple, and he is also one of the only two Confucian confidants of the emperor in the officialdom, Gongsun Hong, the Lord Commander.

Looking at this handsome man who was said to have outstanding abilities and who had repeatedly received praise from the emperor, Dong Zhongshu sighed in his heart.

Who could have known that only seven or eight years ago, this favorite minister and confidant of the current emperor was just a sheepherder in the mountains of Xuexian County, making a living by herding sheep.

He was in poverty, his marriage was even regretted, and he almost became an outcast in the world.

At that time, Gongsun Hong used to study as a disciple everywhere.

In fact, as long as there is someone to teach you, you are willing to be a cow or a horse.

But many people, including him, Dong Zhongshu, gave up on him after investigating.

Because he was very old and had passed the golden age of studying, and also because he had studied miscellaneous works such as "Lu's Spring and Autumn Annals" by himself.

For Confucianism, although Zajia is not an enemy, it is still a heresy.

Many Confucian scholars have read Lu's Spring and Autumn Annals, but no one would take the initiative to teach someone who has read Lu's Spring and Autumn Annals.

Only Hu Wusheng withstood the pressure and accepted this man who was wearing shabby clothes and was down and out.

But now, facts have proven that this is a rough jade, and it is a late blooming jade.

In recent years, this person has almost become a living advertisement for Hu's Gongyang School.

Countless nobles, nobles, and big landowners, all waving their money around, would force a child to be taught under Huzi's sect.

As for the businessmen, it was too late to even kneel down and lick it!

Because Gongsun Hong is the highest official in charge of industrial and commercial order and taxation in the world!

Thinking of this, Dong Zhongshu couldn't help but regret a little. If he had accepted Gongsun Hong back then, he would be the proud one today!

It is precisely because of Gongsun Hong's lessons that Dong Zhongshu has set up the banner of teaching without distinction in his Yingchuan Academy in recent years. No matter who he is, no matter what his background, what age, as long as he is determined to learn, he can

Bring your own dry food and you can attend lectures in the academy.

Some poor children with outstanding academic performance have even received his assistance and help, and he has sponsored pen, ink, paper and inkstones, as well as food, clothing and accommodation every year. (To be continued.)
