Chapter 1029 Rejection

"What are you discussing?"

As soon as Hagrid came out of the woods, he saw Harry, Hermione and Ron standing in front of the hunting lodge, whispering, not knowing what they were talking about.

Hermione turned to look in the direction of the Forbidden Forest, noticed the injuries on Hagrid's face, and asked worriedly: "Hagrid, why are you injured again?"

"Hagrid, you're not going to fight the troll, are you?" Harry asked in a joking tone.

"How is that possible?" Hagrid said perfunctorily, waving his hand impatiently.

"The injuries on your body look very much like you were injured by someone." Ron doubted that besides trolls, there was anything else in the Forbidden Forest that could hurt Hagrid.

"What do you want from me?"

Hagrid changed the topic, took out the key from his pocket, opened the wooden door of the hunting lodge, and invited Harry and the three of them to come in for tea.

The room was very cold, the fire had been extinguished long ago, and the things inside were placed in a mess. After Hagrid entered the room, he immediately lit the firewood in the fireplace, hung the kettle to boil water, and then took it out of the bag on the fireplace.

What looked like a bone was thrown to Yaya.

"Hagrid, what is this?" Ron asked curiously, looking at Fang who was eating.

"Albert asked the house elf to deliver it last night, saying it was food for Fang." Hagrid threw the towel into the bucket, took it out, wrung it out, and applied it to the wound on his face. "Hermione, help me.

Get the bottle of medicine from the cabinet behind you."

"What kind of medicine is this, Hagrid?" Hermione asked.

"Those are painkillers. Albert asked me to throw away those dragon meats, but I think the analgesic effect of dragon meats is more effective." Hagrid looked at a large jar of medicine in front of him, feeling a little scared, "How many pills should I take?"

Didn’t you write it clearly?”

"Can't you take medicine randomly?" Hermione frowned and said, "With Albert's character, he will definitely leave you a note or something."

"There does seem to be a letter. I remember the letter seemed to be..."

Hagrid looked around and finally found the letter next to the stone mortar. He opened it and took out two pieces of parchment. After reading the contents of the letter, he looked at the medicine bottle in his hand and muttered, "Once

Do you want to take five pills for sex? I hope this stuff works."

As he spoke, Hagrid dropped the letter, poured five pills into his mouth, chewed them and swallowed them reluctantly, his face wrinkled up from the bitterness of the painkillers.

"Hagrid, you have to swallow the pills." Hermione was speechless. It was the first time she saw someone chewing pills like jelly beans.

"Swallow it?"

Hagrid was a little confused. He had never eaten this before. No wonder it was so bitter.

Hermione picked up the letter, read the content carefully, and looked at Hagrid with a helpless smile, because Albert had clearly mentioned that painkillers are best swallowed, and not only were the instructions for using painkillers written on the parchment,

There are also wound treatment and treatment methods using white fresh food.

Hermione's eyes fell on the stone mortar, and there was indeed a large amount of fresh food next to it. It must have been what Albert asked the house elves to bring to Hagrid to treat his wounds.

"You should take a closer look at the advice Albert gave you, and how Hagrid got injured." Hermione suspected that Albert knew the reason for Hagrid's injury, otherwise he wouldn't have prepared a large bottle of painkillers.

I don’t know how long this thing can last.

"Well... don't worry, I'm fine, I just suffered a minor injury." Hagrid comforted casually, as if he didn't want to mention his injuries. He threw the towel into the ice water to wet it, wring it out and apply it

At the wound, pick some fresh vegetables, throw them into a stone mortar and pound them, ready to apply to the wound later.

"You don't look like you're okay right now." Harry was a little worried that Hagrid had raised something dangerous in the Forbidden Forest?

If Toad finds out by then, the other party will definitely be happy to fire Hagrid and even put Hagrid in Azkaban prison.

Ron and Hermione had obviously thought about this too. After the two exchanged glances, Hermione said, "By the way, Hagrid, how are you preparing for your Care of Magical Creatures lesson?"

"Toad really wants to fire you, and you are her first target." Ron suspected that Hagrid didn't realize the seriousness of the problem at all.

"Toad?" Hagrid asked confused.

"Toad is Umbridge's nickname. She was once turned into a pink toad." Harry explained to Hagrid, "Later, everyone privately called her Toad."

"Oh, I know, it's the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, right? Albert mentioned the review to me," Hagrid comforted.

The three looked at each other, and finally Harry reminded Hagrid, "Toad has always wanted to fire the teacher who is close to Dumbledore."

"We don't want you to be fired right after you come back," Ron continued.

"So please, Hagrid, please teach me something normal." Hermione's voice was full of pleading, "Teach something that will definitely be included in the 0.w.Ls exam, such as thorns, unicorns or fire."

Crab."

"I'm ready, I can definitely give you a surprise." Hagrid almost patted his chest to assure the three of them.

"Toad doesn't care about surprises." Ron warned, "Trelawney gave Toad a big surprise, and now she is being detained in school for observation."

"We don't think you have such luck." Harry reminded, "Toad hates your half-giant blood, and even mentioned it in the newspaper. Hagrid, don't take any chances."

"Don't worry, I'm very confident in my preparations." Hagrid still has no intention of changing his plan, "Besides, even if I am fired, I can still do things for the Order of the Phoenix."

The three of them looked at each other, feeling that what they had just said was in vain.

"What advice did Albert give you, Hagrid?" Hermione asked suddenly, "I believe he must have told you about this."

"He seems to have asked me to prepare for the review." Hagrid rubbed the back of his head in confusion.

"That's impossible, Harry, look at that letter." Hermione didn't believe that Albert would not give Hagrid some reminders. The most likely reason was that Hagrid ignored it.

"What's wrong, Harry?" Hagrid asked in surprise.

"Anderson asked you to introduce the Thestral to everyone." Harry raised the parchment in his hand and continued: "By the way, there is another letter here."

"What was written in the letter?"

Harry was about to hand the parchment to Hagrid, but Hagrid didn't take it. Instead, he asked Harry what was on the parchment.

"Is it really possible?" Harry asked suspiciously.

"Of course." Hagrid was busy applying whitening fluid to the wound and couldn't take his hand away at all.

"He said he recognized your efforts..."

Harry frowned, and Hermione and Ron also leaned over to read the contents of the parchment. He continued, "I understand your feelings, but your efforts have little effect. He advises you to give up.

And he said he couldn't help you in that matter."

"Hagrid, what did Albert say?" Hermione felt that what Albert mentioned in the letter was the reason why Hagrid was injured.

"Do you really have any dangerous magical animals in the Forbidden Forest?" Harry asked uneasily.

"No." Hagrid shook his head.

"Umbridge has always wanted to scare the monkeys, and the person she wants to fire the most is you." Harry warned again, "If the toad finds out that you have raised any terrible magical animals in the Forbidden Forest, he will definitely not mind firing you.

Damn your pet, I dare say a toad can do such a thing."

"Albert mentioned this to me." After hearing what Harry said, Hagrid couldn't help clenching his fists. He would never allow what Harry said to happen.

"Did he mention anything else in the letter?" Hagrid was not surprised that Albert knew about Grawp. In Hagrid's mind, Albert was a man with great powers and could hide almost nothing.

he.

Seeing that Hagrid seemed unwilling to mention that matter, everyone stopped asking. They suspected that Hagrid had raised some dangerous magical animals in the Forbidden Forest.

Harry's eyes fell on the parchment again and continued: "He said in the letter that he hopes you will pick up Firenze at that time to prevent him from being killed by centaurs... He felt that Dumbledore might, might ignore it.

Something, or..."

Firenze? Centaur?

Harry, Ron and Hermione were all a little confused, obviously not understanding the meaning of the parchment.

Why was Firenze killed by the Centaur?

"I seem to have heard this name somewhere." Harry whispered.

"The centaur who saved you in the Forbidden Forest in your first year," Hermione reminded.

"Oh, it's him, but isn't Firenze a centaur?" Harry was even more confused.

The three of them looked at Hagrid, but Hagrid obviously didn't understand the meaning of the letter either.

"I dare say Albert knows that you won't read this letter carefully." Hermione took the letter, read it carefully, and said firmly, "This letter is for us."

"That guy is always mysterious. It's best to ask him directly." Harry said to Hagrid. "There must be some reason why he reminded you of this specially."

After the three of them had a cup of tea at Hagrid's place, they returned to the castle. Harry and Ron had accumulated a lot of homework recently, and they had to hurry up and finish it.

"What do you think Hagrid kept in the Forbidden Forest?" Harry suddenly asked on the way back to the castle.

"Troll?" Ron guessed.

"Definitely not, his injuries look like he had a fight with someone." Hermione had not forgotten Hagrid's appearance when he first came back.

"I dare say Albert must know." Harry did not forget that in the letter, Albert's rejection of the things Hagrid hid in the Forbidden Forest.

"Could it be...a giant?" Hermione said tremblingly, "Hagrid said it took him more than a month to find the giant camp, but it took him two months to come back, and his injuries were definitely from being beaten.

of."

Harry and Ron looked at each other, and they felt that Hermione's words really made sense.

"But how did he do it? I mean he definitely couldn't let the giant follow him." Harry was trying his best to deny Hermione's guess.

After a long silence, Hermione said tremblingly, "Maybe it's a young giant. Don't forget, Hagrid raised a fire dragon, but... I don't understand why Hagrid did this, why he had to put his life

It’s made so difficult.”

Hermione has almost confirmed her guess. She has not forgotten what Albert wrote in the letter: I agree with your efforts and understand your mood, but your efforts have little effect. I advise you that it is best to

Give up, I can't help you on this matter.

"Hiding the giant in the woods, I dare say he must be crazy. No wonder Anderson refuses to help him." Ron simply couldn't understand what was going on in Hagrid's mind.

"Albert definitely knows something, I have to go talk to him." Hermione murmured, "I really don't understand why Hagrid would do this."
