Chapter 1507 The Last Horcrux

"Harry, do you want to..."

Hermione guessed what Harry was going to do next to deal with the dragon in front of him.

"There is nothing we can do about it. We have no way to subdue the fire dragon. If we want to get through here safely and reach the Lestrange family's treasure house, we have to kill it."

Ron, who had taken the Felixir together, finally caught up with their thoughts.

"It's better to free it than to be trapped here all the time. If it were me, I would rather die than be trapped in this ghost place."

"Speaking of which, it still has to thank us for its release."

The conversation between Harry and the three shocked Griphook next to him, as if what was standing in front of them was not a ferocious dragon, but a bug that could be easily crushed to death at any time.

Before Griphook could react completely, Harry had already raised his wand, suddenly came out from the corner, and fired a mediocre devil's flame at the fire dragon on the opposite side.

In the past few months, Harry has tried to use the devil's flame countless times, and he is very aware of its terrifying power. When the devil's flame collided with the flames sprayed by the fire dragon, it actually began to infect, swallow up the dragon's flame, and even directly entrain it.

The flames rolled back toward the fire dragon, completely engulfing it.

The shrill screams echoed in the room, making Griphook look extremely pale when he witnessed this scene. It had already guessed how the three Harrys planned to open Lestrange's vault.

"This is... the devil's flame!" Griphook's voice was trembling.

There was no way around it. The story of the Malfoy family being engulfed by devil's flames was so famous that almost everyone didn't recognize this evil black magic.

"Don't worry, we can control it."

When Harry used the Devil's Flame, Hermione and Ron had already raised their wands to help control the Devil's Flame to prevent it from spreading and causing complete loss of control.

This flame is indeed dangerous.

Even dragon scales and skins that can resist most spells cannot resist the burning of devil's fire.

The giant dragon was making its final death struggle. Even though it had struggled to break free from the burned thick chain and started rampaging, it still could not extinguish the devil's flames on its body.

The dragon's roar gradually weakened until it completely disappeared.

They all knew that the giant dragon was dead, burned alive by the devil's flames.

But Harry still did not go out from the corner passage. Instead, he waited for another minute to make sure that the dragon was indeed dead, and then he joined Hermione and Ron to clean up the mess and extinguish the devil's flame in the room.

"You killed it?"

Looking at the still smoking dragon corpse, Griphook's eyes widened in disbelief.

The guard that the goblins were so proud of was easily killed by Harry.

"If it's Albert, there may be a way to completely subdue it, but I don't have that. The most I can do is kill it, otherwise we can't guarantee our lives." Harry's tone was very calm, and there was no hint of anything.

Any apology, but he was telling the truth because he had seen the location of the vault.

The end of the passage is actually a circular room with no other exits. There are several inward passages on the wall. As long as you walk a few steps further in, you can see the door of the vault.

Without killing the fire dragon, they would have no chance of getting close to the treasury. Even if they were close to the treasury, it would be unsafe without the goblin's method of controlling the dragon.

Because if they couldn't open the vault door for a while, they would run the risk of being engulfed by the dragon flames, leaving them with no place to hide.

"Let's go, the movement here must have attracted the Gringotts guards." Hermione urged.

The actions of the three of them were all in perfect harmony, and they all knew in their hearts that now was not the time to stop and lament that they had successfully killed a fire dragon.

"Which is the Lestrange family's vault?" Ron had been helping to keep an eye on Griphook to prevent him from doing anything stupid.

"Hermione, give Griphook the Sword of Gryffindor."

Harry had no worries about Griphook breaking the contract unless he wanted to die immediately.

"You plan to destroy the door of the treasury directly? But don't you want to get that...gold cup?"

Griphook didn't reach for the Sword of Gryffindor; he had already thought about what Harry Potter was going to do next.

"Hufflepuff's golden cup," Hermione added.

"Which vault?" Harry asked.

"that."

Griphook pointed to a passage and said.

"If you use devil's flame, you can indeed destroy the door of the vault, but it's hard to say whether the contents of the vault can survive."

"Even if the gold cup in the vault is accidentally destroyed, both parties have fulfilled their agreement." Harry looked into Griphook's eyes and raised his wand again after making sure that the other party was not lying to him.

"Don't try to touch it with your hands, otherwise you will be sucked directly into the door, and you will be finished by then." Griphook quickly reminded him when he saw this.

"You too?"

Ron asked curiously.

"Of course, there are only a few goblins with authority, and anyone who dares to touch them will be in bad luck." Griphook added, "There are also items in the vaults of most ancient wizard families that are cast with fire spells and

Copy the spell, don’t touch it with your hands, otherwise you may be crushed to death by gold!”

"This is a very suitable way for a thief to die, but it's a pity that we are not here to steal anything." Harry raised his wand and pointed at the metal door in front of him, and used the Fire Curse again.

This time, he needs to carefully control the flames to burn the vault door, and this may take a while. Fortunately, Ron is moving the body of the fire dragon, preparing to use it to block the entrance passage and use it to drag Gringotts.

Guards to prevent them from coming over and causing trouble to you.

Things went more smoothly than they expected. The devil's flame easily burned through the treasury door in front of them, turning the delicate door into a pile of scrap metal.

When the three of them lit up their wands and stepped into the vault, they were quickly dazzled by the countless gold coins and treasures inside.

"You better hurry up, I can already hear the footsteps of the Gringotts guards."

"It's not easy for us to find Hufflepuff's golden cup here!" Ron raised his wand and admired the treasures in the vault. Here, the Weasley family could not accumulate wealth in several lifetimes.

"Get out."

Harry turned around and left, "It's too difficult to find Hufflepuff's golden cup in a short time."

"Harry, are you really going to do that?" Ron still disagreed from the bottom of his heart that Harry had ruined this place.

"There's nothing we can do about that."

"Are you crazy?" Griphook had already guessed what Harry Potter was planning to do. "If you destroy everything in the vault together..."

"Every member of the Lestrange family is dead. I think no one will inherit the family's wealth, and no one will come to trouble me."

Harry turned his head and said to Hermione: "Give Griphook the Sword of Gryffindor. He has fulfilled his promise."

"This ends your unbreakable vow with Harry." Hermione handed the Sword of Gryffindor to Griphook.

If Griphook lies and deceives them, or even takes them to other treasure houses, the Unbreakable Vow will take his life.

After the goblin tremblingly took the Sword of Gryffindor, he followed the three of them out of the passage and returned to the room. Harry waved his wand, causing the devil's flames to pour into the vault from the torn gap, completely engulfing the treasures in the vault.

.

He should have done that long ago.

"You planned to destroy the golden cup from the beginning, not to get it." Griphook held Gryffindor's sword tightly, fearing that it would slip from his hand.

Even if both parties sign an unbreakable oath, it still doubts whether there are loopholes in the oath.

"Yes, we wanted to destroy it more, and now we succeeded." Harry gave a malicious smile.

Because it was Voldemort's Horcrux, but Harry obviously had no intention of telling Griphook. As long as they were sure that Voldemort's Horcrux was completely destroyed, their mission would be considered complete.

"It's truly a blessing elixir."

"We didn't even encounter any problems along the way."

This trip went so smoothly thanks to Albert, otherwise the out-of-control devil flames alone would have killed them countless times.

While they were talking, Harry suddenly covered his forehead and vaguely heard an extremely weak, distant scream of pain.

Immediately afterwards, the devil's flame burning in the Lestrange family's vault seemed to lose control, and actually turned into a ferocious face of Voldemort, jumping out of the blazing flames.

"We made it!"

Harry clenched his wand, took a deep breath, and stretched out the lightning scar on his forehead.

"Are you okay, Harry?"

Ron quickly went to help Harry, while Hermione helped control the devil's flame to prevent it from getting out of control.

"He knows, and he's angry!" Harry said softly.

"What?"

"I can feel Voldemort's anger and fear. That guy already knows that someone is targeting his soul... Baby, he will be finished soon."

"Harry, the Gringotts guards are here!" Ron looked towards the entrance and reminded, "We must leave here immediately."

"I know."

Harry took out the medicine bottle from his pocket, bit open the sealing wax and drank the vitality tonic inside to cheer himself up. Then he first helped Hermione extinguish the devil's flame in the vault, and then summoned Dobby inside to leave.
