Chapter 21 Roommates

"Okay, before everyone goes to bed, let's sing the school song together!" Dumbledore raised his wand and tapped it lightly, and a piece of text made of twisted golden ribbons floated in front of everyone.

Members of the Hogwarts Chorus also appeared on stage, and the prefect next to Albert was also one of them. Several chorus members in the front row were holding big toads in their hands.

As Dumbledore waved his magic wand, all the teachers and students began to sing the school song according to their own rhythm.

Albert was among them, opening and closing his mouth and pretending that he too was singing.

There was no way, the song was very mediocre, no wonder the professors at the teacher's desk had stiff expressions and were obviously reluctant.

It doesn’t matter if it’s a child, but when a group of adults sing this kind of school song, it feels so shameful!

"Hogwarts, Hogwarts..." Next to Albert, the funny Weasley brothers were singing to the melody of "Funeral March". The rhythm could not keep up with the others at all. Several freshmen around them were singing.

They all looked sideways.

"...We will study hard until we turn into dirt." After the song was sung, the two of them were still singing slowly, and Albert suddenly had the urge to cover his face and pretend that he didn't know them.

After the last reverberation of the song ended, Dumbledore asked everyone to go back and rest.

The entrance banquet finally ended, and everyone rushed in, causing traffic jams in an instant.

Now, Albert somewhat understood why the newcomers were ranked first.

If you follow students from other grades, you might end up in the wrong place. Think of the Gryffindor students who accidentally followed the wrong team and ran to the Hufflepuff common room, only to realize at the end that they had left.

Wrong place, the scene is simply not too beautiful.

"Newcomers, come with me." The one who guided the newcomers in Gryffindor was the prefect, the one who had just performed on the stage.

He led everyone through the noisy crowd, walked out of the restaurant, climbed the marble stairs, and separated from the freshmen from other colleges.

The new team walked through the corridors and around the castle, instead of taking the legendary moving stairs.

There are many portraits hanging in the corridor, and the characters on them are whispering to the new students when they pass by, and there are also portraits that greet them.

The prefects lead the freshmen through the castle. You will never guess where the entrance is?

There was obviously a closed wooden door ahead, but they passed through the stone door on the opposite side. Some doors will open for you only when you touch the exact location. Some doors are hidden behind curtains or behind portraits. However,

The worst thing is not that, because there is now a trap staircase in the stairway. It looks like a normal staircase, but when you reach a certain level, you need to step over it, otherwise if you step in, your feet will get stuck in it.

For newcomers who have just come here, it is a disaster.

"Are you okay!" Albert stretched out his hand and pulled Lee Jordan out.

"No." Li Jordan said angrily, "I was just shocked. I really don't understand why the school has so many weird things?"

"I think it's funny, isn't it George?"

"I think so too."

"These are defensive facilities left over from the past, and now they have become a major feature of Hogwarts." Albert explained, "Follow me quickly, I don't want to get lost."

After walking for who knows how long, when Albert felt his legs were a little sore, they finally reached the eighth floor, walked through a long corridor, and reached the end. There was a portrait hanging there, which was of a very wealthy woman.

, there is no doubt that this is the legendary Fat Lady, the gatekeeper of Gryffindor Tower.

"Password?" she asked.

"Nonsense." After the prefect finished speaking, the portrait opened like a door, revealing a circular hole behind it.

He did not rush in, but turned around and said to the newcomers, "You must remember the password. You can only enter the lounge by telling the fat lady the password. The current password is nonsense."

After saying that, the prefect led everyone through the hole in the wall, which was the Gryffindor common room.

This is an old round room with many sofas in it. In the corner of the room, there is a burning flame in the fireplace, and there is a lot of firewood next to it. Several people are sitting on the sofa chatting, and among the newlyweds

After coming in, he looked over here and waved to the newcomers.

"You are lucky. Tomorrow is Saturday, which means no classes. This is a rare opportunity. I suggest you get familiar with the castle in these two days. The environment of the castle is more complicated than you think. If you don't want to get lost,

You'd better find out where the classroom is as soon as possible." After the prefect finished speaking, he pointed to the two doors and said, "Girls, go over there, boys, follow me."

After he said hello to another female prefect, he led Albert and his group into another door and walked down the narrow spiral staircase. He encountered many doors on the way.

The prefect introduced them to the freshmen's rooms, washrooms and bathrooms.

Of course, the washroom and bathroom are shared. Fortunately, the bathroom has a partition, thank God.

As for their respective rooms, they need to find them by themselves, and there are special name tags on the doors.

Albert, the twins and Lee Jordan lived in the same room. There were only four people here.

The room is not big, with four beds with curtains, and their luggage is placed beside the bed.

Albert easily found his suitcase, yawning, took out his pajamas and put them on himself.

"Please give me your advice in the future." Albert smiled and greeted the other three people.

"Please give me your advice." The four of them looked at each other and couldn't help laughing.

"Tomorrow, I'm going to explore the castle, will you go?" Albert took out his camera from his suitcase, retreated to the door and took a photo of his bedroom.

"Of course. Remember to call me in the morning." The twins looked at each other and said in unison.

"What about you?" The three of them looked at Li Jordan.

"Of course, let's go together." The black guy obviously didn't want to be alone.

"Good night."

Lying in bed, he was already very sleepy, but still couldn't fall asleep. Albert always tended to suffer from insomnia every time he went to a strange place.

The others were obviously not as troubled as him. After eating and drinking enough, they fell asleep not long after lying on the bed.

Albert turned sideways and opened his task panel. The original exploration progress had reached 3%.

He didn't know how much it would cost if he visited the castle tomorrow. He flipped through his skill list again, which was several pages long.

Most of the magics are only at level 1, and a few have not yet been mastered.

Looking at the skills that were still at level 0, Albert suddenly had the urge to spend experience to upgrade them to level 1.

This is a bad habit left over from playing games in the past, and I always have the habit of maxing out my skills.

Albert took a deep breath and turned off the panel, lest he accidentally waste all the hard-earned experience, which could be related to his future life.

In a daze, Albert fell asleep. He had a dream. He dreamed of himself in his previous life, reading a book. He still remembered that it was his first exposure to Harry Potter.

book.

"Is all this a dream?"

No, this was not a dream. He had confirmed it time and time again the moment he opened his eyes again after his death.

This is not a dream.

I always feel like the author of a fan story, creating another Harry Potter fan story of my own. However, this time, he cannot describe the YY content he wants as unscrupulously as the author.

Ah, literary youth is a disease.
