Chapter 466 Simple Mechanism

Albert could feel himself falling downwards, and the cold and moist air was whistling past his ears.

Above his head, the screams of Fred, George and Lee Jordan could be heard, and the sound fell in the tunnel, making him feel a little want to laugh.

Sure enough, he is still too young.

Although it was said that there would be a devil's net as a cushion below, Albert didn't want to plunge into the devil's net at all, so he recited a shock-absorbing spell, and at the same time, several people who jumped down from above suddenly jumped in mid-air.

He braked and stopped abruptly in the air.

The feeling of the shock-absorbing spell was very strange. Albert felt like he was slowly falling in the air like a feather, but the falling speed was very slow.

"Are you scared to death?" Fred patted his chest and said, "This is definitely several stories high. If it weren't for the shock-absorbing spell, I might have broken my neck if I fell."

"No, under normal circumstances, we will fall on those things." Albert pointed to the vines above his head and consoled him with a smile.

"What's going on with those vines?" Li Jordan frowned slightly as he looked at the squirming vines, feeling a bit bad.

Because the light ball created by Albert has completely disappeared, the vines have gathered together again.

"Guess?" Albert said casually.

"Stop being so pretentious."

"This should also be a trap. Which professor do you think set it up?"

"This thing actually moves?" George wanted to step back, preparing to get further away from these weird vines.

However, George found that his legs were entangled in vines, and he stumbled and fell into the pile of vines. The vines immediately stretched out snake-like tendrils and wrapped around George's body.

"Isn't it amazing?" Albert blinked at George, not caring that his legs were entangled in long vines.

"What the hell is this?" George tried desperately to tear off the vines on his body, but the more he tried to break free, the faster and tighter the vines became.

"Stop moving, I remembered what this is, it's a devil's net!" Fred screamed loudly.

Li Jordan, who was originally panicked, didn't dare to move anymore after hearing this.

"Oh, dear Albert, we want to break off our relationship with you, and you actually stand there and watch our jokes." George complained angrily.

The vines were almost wrapped around his neck, making him almost suffocated.

"The more you struggle, the tighter the devil's net will be." Albert reminded kindly, "Actually, this is just a very simple mechanism, as if it is saying hello to us: asking us if we have studied the herbal medicine class seriously.

"

"Damn, your joke is not funny at all. Please hurry up, I can't breathe!" George gasped, trying desperately to tear off the vine wrapped around his neck.

"The devil's net likes darkness and moisture, and is afraid of fire and light." Fred muttered, using his wand to create flames to expel the devil's net.

Within a few seconds, everyone could feel the vines wrapped around their bodies shrinking, trying to avoid the light and warmth.

Lee Jordan set fire to the vines and tried to rescue George. The devil's net began to twist and twitch violently when it encountered the flames, automatically loosening the tendrils wrapped around George's body.

"Isn't it interesting?"

The embarrassed George was finally picked up from the ground by Albert. He originally wanted to pull Albert down with him, but failed.

"Thank you so much." George said angrily, but he also admired Albert's calmness. Albert had never been nervous from the beginning.

If Fred and Li Jordan hadn't been infected by his calmness, they might have been trapped alive in the devil's net.

"When did you find out they were devil's nets?" Lee Jordan couldn't help but ask.

"From the beginning, I felt that speaking out might disturb your fun of adventure." Albert said something that made people want to hit him. "Actually, this is a test of a person's knowledge reserve and calmness."

"It is normal for ordinary people to be entangled in the devil's net without knowing it, and to be nervous and struggling."

"Thanks for your explanation." George complained angrily.

"What good things do you think Dumbledore will hide here?" Fred looked at Albert and asked, "You should be able to guess something!"

"What do you think it will be? This is not a difficult mechanism, is it?" Albert said with a smile, "Let's go and see what more interesting things are ahead."

"You must know."

"It is said that it was something that was almost stolen from Gringotts." Albert asked with a smile, "You also want to take advantage of it?"

The three of them shook their heads in unison. They would not steal the things hidden by the principal.

They walked forward and went down the slope along the corridor. In addition to their own footsteps, there was also the sound of water drops slowly dripping down the wall.

"Did you hear anything?" Lee Jordan stopped and listened.

Several other people quietly listened to the sounds around them, and indeed they heard a faint rustling sound coming from the front.

"Let's go, we can go there and find out what's going on."

Albert pointed ahead, where the lights were on.

They discovered that at the end of the corridor was a brightly lit room, and the sound was coming from above their heads. On the high vaulted ceiling, there were countless little birds, flapping their wings and flying around the room.

Fly away.

"This is...the second mechanism?"

"Do you think, if we go in directly, will these birds attack us?" George suffered the loss last time and became very cautious, fearing that he would fall into the trap again.

"There is a door opposite, and we may need to go through this room." Fred pointed at the heavy-looking wooden door opposite and said.

"It's possible." Lee Jordan suggested, "If they all rush over at once, we'll chant the explosive spell together and blow them all up."

"This is a good idea. Anyway, I don't want to run over directly." George also didn't want to face those flying birds that might have sharp beaks and claws to tear him apart at any time.

"Albert, what do you think?"

The three of them looked at Albert, waiting for his decision whether to blow up all the birds above their heads and drive them away.

"This level may be more interesting than we thought, and those things above your head are not birds." Albert pointed to the broomstick in the room and said, "Let's go, you shouldn't be attacked, at least for the time being."

"Are you sure?" Li Jordan raised his eyebrows.

"Sure."

"Okay, I'll go first." Li Jordan took a deep breath, covered his face with his arms, and quickly rushed to the other end of the room.

It turned out to be safe and sound.

"These things all seem to be keys." George also discovered the secret of the flying birds, and they all turned out to be flying keys.

"The door is locked."

Fred walked over and pulled the handle with Lee Jordan, and found that the wooden door remained motionless.

"Use the Alajo Cave to break the spell." George suggested and acted on it, but it didn't help.

"Could there be an anti-Alajo opening spell on the door?"

The three of them all looked at Albert. He was the only one here who knew how to break the anti-Alajo Cave opening curse.

As a result, of course it had no effect.

"Otherwise, we use Sesame Opening to dismantle this door." Lee Jordan did not forget his great feat on his first day at Hogwarts.

"It's best not, I don't want to get stuck in the head by those flying keys above." Albert stopped Lee Jordan's crazy idea.

"Don't tell me, we need to find a key among these keys." All four people looked up and stared at the keys flying overhead.

"Congratulations on your correct answer. You probably need to find the right key to open the door." Albert said calmly, "They obviously can't be just decorative items."

"But there are hundreds of keys up there!"

"You should be lucky that we have three excellent Quidditch players here." Fred couldn't help but sigh.

George had already taken the broomstick and was going to give it to the three best flying broomsticks. Because there were only three broomsticks, Lee Jordan, who had poor flying ability, would not have a share.

Albert didn't pick up the broomstick. He was carefully checking the lock on the door.

In the novel, Harry found the key because Quirrell had already used the key to open the door, thus causing some damage to the keybird, but how should they find the key?

"We're looking for a big key." Lee Jordan pretended to look at the door handle.

"It's all full of big keys," Fred couldn't help but complain.

"Does anyone know the shape of the key to this kind of lock?" Albert suddenly asked.

"Maybe... shaped like a door." George raised his hand and drew the general shape of the key in the void.

"This is not easy." Li Qiaodan muttered, "There should be a lot of these keys."

"Try to find a rusty door key." Albert pointed to the rusty door lock and said, "I guess the key is also very old."

"Why don't you come together? You are better at this than us." They each grabbed a broom, kicked off their feet, and when they were in the air, they looked back at Albert and asked in confusion.

"No, I'm going to try another method." Albert shook his head and refused. He was already ready to try the lock picking tool to see if he could pick the door handle lock using the Muggle method.

If it really doesn't work, it's not too late to go up and grab the key.

Several people rushed into the dense array of keys, looking for the key bird that Albert mentioned. When they saw a suitable key, they went up to capture it.

However, the enchanted keys dodged so quickly that they could not catch them.

"Think of a solution!" Fred shouted.

"We...we make a big net and cover all the keys!" George finally came up with a good idea.

The three of them landed on the ground and began to use transformation magic to create a large triangular net for capture. The three of them were in a good mood when they thought that they could cover the key later.

As a result, before they could implement their plan, they heard a click and the door lock was opened.

The three people turned their heads stiffly and saw Albert holding the door handle with his hand, smiling and saying to them, "The door seems to be open, let's go in."

With that said, he pushed the door open.

"You...how on earth did you do it?" Lee Jordan asked stutteringly.

The three of them racked their brains and tried hard to grab the key, but for what purpose?

At this moment, even Fred and George fell into self-doubt.

"I'm not sure whether this method will work." Albert explained, "However, it seems that wizards don't pay much attention to Muggle methods at present, so this loophole is left."
