Chapter 81 The mysterious broom closet

Holding an oil lamp, Filch hurried to the portrait of the Fat Lady and suddenly smiled. The gatekeeper at the entrance to the Gryffindor common room disappeared.

Not being able to enter the Gryffindor common room means that students who wander the night can only continue to stay outside.

No one can escape from their hands.

No one can!

"Ah...sneeze!" George sneezed again.

Fred in front stopped and looked at George speechlessly.

"Where are we going?" George rubbed his nose and leaned over and asked.

Fred moved his wand to the Marauder's Map, observed the positions of Snape and Filch, and involuntarily quickened his pace. He planned to circle the eighth floor, escape from Filch's search, and avoid Snape and Filch at the same time.

Erci's cat.

However, Filch did not chase in the direction of the sound. Instead, he turned back and blocked the corner of a corridor, waiting for Snape to appear, intending to prevent them from leaving through the nearby secret passage.

"When did that guy become smarter!" Fred quickly stopped and walked back. When he saw that Filch actually planned to block the corridor, his heart suddenly became cold.

Snape was almost reaching the eighth floor. When he reached the eighth floor, they would be blocked here.

"Professor, they should still be on the eighth floor. I heard a noise just now." Filch said with unconcealed excitement in his tone: "You go over here, I'll go around from the other side, they

There is no escape.”

"It's over, we're blocked!" Fred looked desperate. Now, there was not enough room for maneuver for the two of them to avoid Filch's search.

However, when Fred and George were anxiously passing by the tapestry of the troll beating silly Barnabas for the third time, they accidentally discovered that a door appeared on the wall opposite the tapestry.

"How did it appear?" George asked, staring at the door on the wall in surprise.

They didn't know there was such a door here, and it wasn't marked on the Marauder's Map.

Fred gritted his teeth and said, "No matter what, hide in first!"

The two of them opened the door and hid inside, and found that behind the door was just a dusty broom cabinet with a few old brooms inside."

When Filch and Snape surrounded him from both sides, the entrance to the Room of Requirement had long since disappeared.

The two of them were completely defeated.

"Where are the people?" There was a moment of astonishment on Filch's face. He had just heard a sound here, but why didn't he see anyone?

Hiding?

Or... escaped?

"No, they can't go far. I just heard someone sneezing." The muscles on Filch's cheeks were twisted together with anger.

I originally thought I could stop those Gryffindor students who were making fun of me and give those students a harsh lesson, but the other party still slipped through my fingers.

This huge sense of disparity made Filch feel extremely aggrieved.

In the broom closet, Fred and George both reached out and covered each other's mouths, fearing that they would make the slightest sound and attract the attention of the two people outside.

There was no way, Filch and Snape were standing outside the broom cupboard where they were hiding. If they opened the door, something extremely terrible would happen.

As if someone was looking after the lucky couple, Snape and Filch finally left, and they went to other places on the eighth floor to search for the whereabouts of the twins.

Of course, the result is still nothing.

"Next time someone wanders around at night, come and report to me immediately." Snape said to Filch before leaving.

Hearing the footsteps gradually disappearing, Fred and George couldn't help but heave a sigh of relief, but they had no intention of going out immediately.

I don’t know how long I stayed in the broom cupboard. It wasn’t until I saw from the Marauder’s Map that Snape and Filch had given up on searching for them that I cautiously opened the door and came out, for fear of making any loud noise again and attracting attention.

Erqi's attention.

"It was a close call. I almost got caught by Filch. But what's going on with this broom closet?" George raised his wand, ready to check the broom closet where the two had just hidden, but found the door on the wall.

It's gone.

"What's going on?" Fred was also confused. He reached out and knocked on the wall twice, and then looked at the Marauder's Map at hand.

There are no hints on this.

"The castle of Hogwarts still hides many secrets. Even Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs don't all know these secrets!" George couldn't help but sigh and looked at his twins.

The brother asked, "By the way, how did that door appear just now?"

"I don't know!" Fred gave up temporarily after researching to no avail. "Forget it, let's go back first. I hope the Fat Lady has come back."

Fred and George both breathed a sigh of relief before returning to the Fat Lady's portrait.

The fat lady in pajamas looked at the two of them and asked, "Where have you been?"

"Take a walk." George said the command immediately. "Singing really well."

The portrait opened, and they immediately climbed into the common room, sank down in armchairs, looked at each other and couldn't help laughing.

"Tonight is really thrilling." George's excitement has not completely subsided.

"I think Filch must be mad." Fred laughed happily. To be honest, he really didn't like the administrator.

It was almost five o'clock when they returned to the dormitory. Although they felt very tired, the two of them could not sleep at all until they were vaguely awakened in the morning.

"Ah..." Fred yawned widely, not even bothering to open his eyes.

"When did you come back?" Albert put on his long running shoes and opened the window to let the cool morning breeze blow into the room.

"About... around five o'clock in the morning." Fred covered another yawn and asked sleepily: "What time is it now?"

"Seven thirty in the morning."

Looking at the sleepy twin brothers, Albert shook his head and said, "I told you not to go on a night outing at this time. There are two herbal medicine classes in the morning, over there in the greenhouse, so don't be late."

"I'm telling you..." George picked up his pillow and threw it at Fred. The guy fell down on the bed again, looking very tired.

"You said you were almost caught by Filch when the Fat Lady was away at night, and you escaped by hiding in a broom closet on the eighth floor?" Lee Jordan felt incredible when he listened to George's story.

I'm curious as to what method Fred and George used to escape from Snape and Filch's pursuit?

Or is George lying?

"Later, when you were looking, the broom cupboard was missing?" Albert listened to George talking about the location of the cupboard and immediately knew what place they were talking about.

Room of Requirement.

The two guys managed to escape by hiding in the Room of Requirement.

After Fred and George left the broom closet, they found that it had disappeared without warning.

That day, Fred and George skipped their morning herbal medicine class and slept until the afternoon when they woke up naturally.
