Volume Three Chapter Sixteen Hot Days

The cloudy weather lasted for many days, followed by a long rainy day. During the days when Xiao Zhu was hospitalized, the heavy rain outside the house never stopped.

The day before Xiao Zhu was discharged from the hospital, the endless conquest of the earth by the rain finally made him feel tired, and the rainfall gradually began to decrease. Finally, after dropping the last drop of water, it stopped and retreated.

From waking up at night and being able to only go out for activities at night, to living in the daytime without the sun and covered by smog, later, strange and long-lasting black clouds began to appear in the sky, confusing day and night.

What follows is another long rainy season.

Thinking about the various strange weather experiences he had experienced, Lu Sheng knew that although the heavy rain had stopped, he might not encounter any kind of weird weather next.

Xiao Zhu can be discharged from the hospital today. The weather is beautiful, the sky is clear, and there are no clouds in the sky. Xiao Zhu is taken back to Huangzhou by a special car. Lu Sheng also decides to take Xiaoqing and her father home.

The only thing in the naked sky is the sun. It finally got rid of all the clouds and is now shining on the earth without any obstruction.

The city soaked in water is no longer wet. The rainwater on the ground is evaporating rapidly. The wet city has finally dried itself, and everything seems to have returned to normal.

Without the share of rainwater evaporation, the sun's scorching heat can be fully exerted, and even a thin cloud no longer appears in the sky above the city. The most direct result of this is that in the seasons of September and October, the temperature rises sharply, every day.

Set a new temperature record.

It only took a few days for the water level of the Meijiang River to go from high during heavy rains to the lowest level in history.

Small sandbanks began to appear on the river, and the Meijiang River lost its eastward-flowing charm. Now it looks more like a scrawny old guy, reaching the end of his life.

The continuous high temperature warning seemed to constantly remind Lu Sheng that his judgment was correct, and another extremely abnormal weather had appeared.

"This weather is really abnormal. It's already autumn, why is it still so hot? If it keeps like this, there will be no need to walk on the Meijiang Bridge to cross the Meijiang River in the future." Xiaoqing looked out of the car, protecting her abdomen with her palms, and said to herself

Speaking.

Lu Sheng drove Xiaoqing and Lu's father in the car, passed by the Meijiang River, got on the highway, and returned to Huangzhou.

Looking at Meijiang, Father Lu thought of Uncle Li who liked to swim in Meijiang. He sighed at the side, "Old Li used to like to come here, but his son Li Shang died like this, and this old guy was given away with his white hair."

Black-haired person..."

Hearing Li Shang's name, Lu Sheng was shocked. He might never see him again in his dream. Fortunately, he is still alive and well in reality, but he has not seen him for many years. His current life is really still...

ok?

After the encounter in the stairwell that day, Bai Longqiang never came out to kill again, and the serial murder case also came to a standstill.

The police station's interviews with Lu Sheng and Xiao Zhu yielded no substantial results, and the clues were interrupted. In desperation, the case could only be shelved temporarily.

Lu Sheng was quiet and spoke little during the entire trip home. He only occasionally listened to the chat between Xiaoqing and Lu's father. He did not say anything more.

The car got off the highway, passed through Dongchang District, and came to Heping Street. Lu Sheng turned into an alley and drove to the community below her home.

Huangzhou, like Meizhou, was experiencing a rare high temperature. As soon as the car door opened, a wave of heat rushed into the cold car. Lu Sheng was busy carrying his father's salute, and he was sweating profusely.

After moving up and down a few times, it was finally time to rest.

"Just stay at home. If you stay outside for a long time in this weather, you might get heatstroke."

Lu Sheng held the last luggage in his hand. He put the luggage at the door and continued to say to Xiaoqing and Lu's father, "Hurry up and close the windows and turn on the air conditioner."

Lu Sheng knew that the abnormal heat was entirely due to his consciousness. He knew that there must be some meaning in it, but he couldn't analyze it.

But what Lu Sheng can be sure of is that he will not worry about the sunny weather, but this kind of abnormal weather must indicate something bad.
