Volume Three, Chapter 28, Death - Punishment (1)

Lu Sheng recalled the fortune teller's words and the story he told. Of course Lu Sheng knew the idiom and allusion to Huang Liang Yimeng, but he did not know that the protagonist of the story was Lu Sheng.

Lu Sheng finally lived a healthy and prosperous life until old age in his dream, and it was not until he died of old age that he woke up from the dream. When he woke up, a pot of Huangliang rice had not yet been cooked. The dream was happy, but the reality was a mess.

Lu Sheng thought about this story and felt that explaining everything, recognizing everything in his dream, letting go of everything, and then dying in a reasonable way may be the only way for him to return to reality.

Now Lu Sheng has surrendered to the police station and told everything.

Then he successfully survived August 14th. Zhao Shi never appeared again and never saw the fire.

He spent a Mid-Autumn Festival in the police station, or to be precise, in the police station's detention center. This Mid-Autumn Festival was the most peaceful one Lu Sheng had spent in the ten years since Xiaoqing left.

.

Although the current environment he was in restricted his personal freedom, and this environment was carefully designed by Lu Sheng for himself, Lu Sheng slept very soundly every night he stayed in the detention center.

There is only Lu Sheng himself in this detention center. This is not a prison, there are no gangsters who steal and rob, and there are no vicious rapists.

There was only one bed, iron doors and windows, and white walls. There was a particularly unpleasant smell in the detention center, and the tone of the entire cell was depressing and gloomy.

Lu Sheng forgot where he had seen this scene, but the construction of this scene must have come from his consciousness, and it must have been something he had seen before.

Being imprisoned in this small cage and always under the supervision of others, Lu Sheng remembered that summer vacation many years ago. The two little turtles were imprisoned in a transparent fish tank, looking carefree.

He was worry-free, because there were people delivering food and changing water. Apart from the lack of freedom, he had all the conditions for life to continue. This was very much like his current life.

From the investigation and evidence collection, to filing a lawsuit, to the final judgment, no link was missing, and everything went quickly and smoothly.

Lu Sheng stayed in the detention center, waiting for all procedures to be completed outside.

The verdict finally came down, and Lu Sheng got his wish. He was sentenced to death without probation.

Lu Sheng was taken to a real prison by the police, where he will have to spend some time. It may be a few days, or it may be longer.

Different from the last time he committed suicide by swallowing a gun on the rooftop, this time death was approaching him. Lu Sheng knew in his heart that this was not true, it was just a fantasy. But why should this process be prolonged? Why not be more happy and do it right away?

What about execution?

In the blink of an eye, Lu Sheng had entered the prison. This place, which could only be seen in movies and TV series, now appeared in his dream.

Lu Sheng still lives alone in a cell. He may not want familiar or unfamiliar faces to appear in such an unlucky place.

Next, there is waiting, waiting for death, waiting for rebirth.

If you don't want to die naturally in your dream, the only normal and reasonable way to die is to confess your sins and submit to the law.

But dreams are a projection of reality. After all, we have never experienced the entire execution process in reality. How can we project this in a dream?

Was he shot? Hanged? Or injected to death?
