The meaning of this story is that one day, Zigong was cleaning in the yard. A guest came and asked him if he was Confucius. Zigong asked what he wanted to see my master?
The guest said: "Ask about the time." When Zigong heard what he said, he thought to himself that I know the time and seasons, so he told the guest that I can answer this.
Then the guest asked him how many seasons there were in a year. Zigong felt that the question was funny, so he said four seasons, but the guest said three seasons.
The two of them argued for a long time, but they couldn't decide the winner, and they had no intention of stopping the argument.
At this time, Confucius heard their argument and walked out of the room. Zigong asked Confucius how many seasons there were in a year.
Confucius did not answer directly, but carefully observed the guest, and then replied: Three seasons.
When the guest heard Confucius's answer, he said goodbye to Confucius happily.
After the guests left, Zigong asked Confucius doubtfully if there were not four seasons in a year. Confucius answered him that there were indeed four seasons.
Confucius told Zigong, I just looked at the clothes of the man just now, and his skin is all green. He is actually a praying mantis.
It is born in spring and dies in autumn, never seeing winter at all. If you argue with him about the four seasons, you will not be able to explain clearly. Because his life only has three seasons.
Many people have heard this story. It teaches us not to argue with people from three seasons. There is no need to argue with them.
If you meet someone from Sanji, just talk to him about autumn, but he won't be able to understand you.
If you are a one-season person, then don’t talk about summer, autumn and winter.
If you want to argue with it, you are confused.
There is no right or wrong in this world, just different viewpoints. "A frog in a well cannot speak of the sea, and a summer insect cannot speak of the ice."
Before getting in the car, I told Chujiu the results of my observations.
Chujiu squatted on the ground without saying a word, staring at the corpse of the mantis that I beat to death.
"Guo Guo, this is a mutated mantis, it's poisonous."
After getting on the bus, Chujiu said this to me in a low voice, then leaned on the seat and closed his eyes.
I was curious. Praying mantises are not poisonous. When I was young, my friends would often catch two and put them together to fight.
My grandfather and father beat me many times for this. My grandfather told me that although mantises are not poisonous, they can carry some bacteria and viruses in their bodies.
Secretly, I still catch and fight with mantises with my friends.
Because my friends said that the vaccines we got in school are against viruses and bacteria.
It wasn’t until I grew up that I realized that the vaccine we gave in school only protects against one disease.
"Guo Guo, do you remember that Xiao Yu said she saw a strange person yesterday?"
I remember that after Xiaoyu said that, Chujiu and I both looked at the crowd, and Chujiu had a weird expression.
"Guo Guo, I saw a person's back in the crowd. That back made me feel very uncomfortable, but I didn't remember why."
Looking at Chujiu's expression, it seemed that she had some guesses in her mind, but she didn't want to believe them.
It wasn't until I stared at him for a long time that Chujiu continued:
"I just thought about it for a long time. I only met one person who made me feel that uncomfortable feeling. Guo Guo, remember when we went to Bishan a few days ago?"
"You mean the long-haired man we met at the bus station, the man with Fang Liqun?"
I suddenly remembered the scene at the station. Fang Liqun told the man that he would give him enough money after the matter was accomplished.
When Director Fang was taken away by the police, I turned around and saw Fang Liqun, with a trace of cruelty flashing in his eyes.
The meaning of Chujiu should be that we ruined some plan of Fang Liqun and his father, resulting in failure.
In the end, Fang Liqun should let the master he calls deal with us.
However, in my memory, I never had any contact with that person again.
I looked at Chujiu in confusion, hoping that he would continue. But Chujiu asked me a question, do you know what Gu is?
I thought of many things at once. When I was young, my grandfather told me stories about bewitching. Basically, we relied on raising insects to fight.
What I understand as voodoo is the skill of cultivating insects.
I remember the first time I ate in the cafeteria on the second floor of the school in the ninth grade of Chujiu. It was because Zhiyong and Zhang Feng saw the beauties in the photos in the village of Chujiu and wanted to introduce her to them.
Chujiu threatened them that they needed to stay in the village and live in the village. If they left the village, they would be attacked by Tongxin Gu, a bug that would eat people from the inside out.
After I said it jokingly, Chujiu told me with a serious face that he was actually not trying to scare Zhiyong and the others.
Although this kind of thing does not happen in their village, it does happen in other villages, and it is really a kind of poison.
As for the voodoo technique, Chujiu did not explain it to me in detail, but just mentioned that voodoo insects are a very special kind of insect.
Poison is an insect control technique that has evolved over thousands of years.
"Chujiu, what do you mean by this?"
Chujiu took a breath and told me that he suspected that the person who made him feel uncomfortable was from the Gumiao tribe.
"Gumiao?"
I am even more puzzled. There are white Miao and black Miao among the Miao people, but I do know.
The Black Miao are a branch of the Miao ethnic group, and their name first appeared in the Ming Dynasty. The White Miao were named in the Qing Dynasty.
Black seedlings are named after their mostly navy blue clothes. They are mainly distributed in southeastern Guizhou and northern Guangxi, Anshun area and Jingxian County of Hunan.
"Guoguo, I'm talking about the ancient Miao people, the real Miao people. They live in the deep mountains and old forests and have no contact with the outside world. The vast majority of people in our country don't know that this place or this tribe exists."
Chujiu told me that the ancient Miao he mentioned are the real Miao people in an accurate sense.
Most of the Miao people we know now are those who migrated from mountain tribes thousands of years ago, intermarried with the Han people, and were influenced by Sinicization.
The real voodoo technique belongs to Gu Miao, and the voodoo technique we know now is not worth mentioning compared to Gu Miao's voodoo technique. Perhaps it is just a superficial insect control technology that has been eliminated by Gu Miao.
According to what Chujiu's grandfather told Chujiu, in the ancient Miao tribe, even a random child could use poison to kill people invisibly.
Everyone in the Gu Miao tribe has reached the pinnacle of research and control of insects.
"I suspect that the man with long hair is from the Gu Miao tribe."
After Chujiu finished speaking, I thought about it for a long time, but I still couldn't fully agree with Chujiu's point of view.
If it was really as scary as Chujiu said, I would have been lying on the ground by now. But now there is no better explanation.
What happened is beyond the scope of our ability, even our knowledge.
Chujiu suddenly thought of something and told me with a smile:
"But it's not a big problem, as long as we arrive at the village safely, we'll know!"
