Chapter Thirty: Using Rules

The game is still progressing efficiently.

The sixth group, the seventh group... until the tenth group, [Superman] Reiner finally appeared among the two people on the stage.

His opponent is a powerful man who looks ordinary and has no characteristics.

Most of the rich kids sitting in the audience as bettors have finished betting in the first few groups. The remaining ones who have not yet placed bets are not very interested in these two people, so it is difficult to safely tell who will be the winner.

.

Therefore, in the end, it was only Linn. Arthur called the maid and bet on Reiner in this group.

"I want to see if he can do it." Arthur held his breath, waiting to see the performance of Reiner, who had high hopes from Linn.

Lin En is also looking forward to it.

He wanted to know how strong the [Extraordinary One] was, and what was the gap between the [Extraordinary One] and the [Awakened One].

"start!"

In front of the iron cage, boxing ring owner Demps announced the start of the tenth round of the first round.

To everyone's surprise, although Reiner took the initiative to attack the powerful man, as soon as he was only one step away from him, he was knocked to the ground by the opponent's punch.

The powerful man was obviously stunned for a moment. He obviously didn't expect his instinctive punch to have such an effect. Then without any time to think about it, he hurriedly rushed to the ground and kicked Reiner in the abdomen several times, firmly gaining the upper hand.

"What's going on?!" Arthur stood up abruptly.

Lin En was also in a daze.

How is this possible?

Although he still doesn't know the hierarchy of the clean-up personnel, the extraordinary ones are at least stronger than the awakened ones. How could they go up and be beaten to the ground by a bare-handed dignitary?

"Lynn!" Arthur panicked, and in desperation he grabbed Linn's collar, "Explain to me, what is going on?!"

"Calm down, he shouldn't just behave like this." Lin En, who was confused, comforted Arthur.

"How can you be so calm?! As soon as he's done, we'll all be doomed!" Arthur's spirit had been tense, but now that he saw Reiner being so vulnerable, he couldn't help but lose control of his emotions.

Linn pushed Arthur back to the sofa with all his strength, glanced at the other bettors who were gloating about their misfortune, then steady his breathing and stared at the battle in the iron cage.

Reiner was unable to get up from the heavy rain of punches and kicks, so he could only hug the powerful man's legs to restrict his movement.

If this continues, the results will be self-evident.

How difficult it is for an extraordinary person to deal with an ordinary person...

Lin En's heart felt cold for a while.

Could it be that he made the wrong choice? Will Reiner be defeated in the first round and drag them both to death?

It shouldn’t be!

If he was really so weak, why would he choose to be a boxer?

Arthur's whole body felt weak. He felt the approach of death and said feebly: "Lynn... you're f*cking... going to kill me..."

Linn didn't have time to pay attention to Arthur and approached the iron cage with a cane.

"puff!"

"puff!"

The powerful people increasingly think that Reiner is a soft persimmon, and are full of confidence in advancing to the next round, and are trying their best to beat Reiner with their boxers.

Reiner hugged the powerful man's legs tightly and protected his head, allowing the other party to bombard him indiscriminately.

"Liner, what are you thinking?!" Lynn shouted.

Reiner didn't reply, he just suffered the attack silently.

Lin En had the urge to go in and help, but just when he wanted to say something more to at least encourage Reiner, he saw half of Reiner's face that was not covered by his arms.

Calm, calm, and even a little disdainful.

Is this an expression you can have when being beaten?

A guess suddenly popped into Lin En's mind.

Could it be that Reiner was deliberately pretending to be at a disadvantage?

Otherwise, how could a transcendent person, or even a normal person with sound limbs, not even hurt the opponent's hair for such a long time?

And this extends to a new question, why does Reiner pretend to be invincible?

Is it to make the people in the next round lower their vigilance towards themselves after advancing to the next round?

Or is it that he wants to paralyze the bettors in the field through his poor performance, secretly guide the bettors to bet on others, and ultimately be able to rationally clean up the fallen dignitaries by relying on the task rules without having to do it himself?

Lynn feels the latter is more likely.

He calmed down and said nothing more to Leonardo through the iron cage. He turned around and sat back on the sofa and said to Arthur: "Give me a cigarette."

"Death is imminent, are you still in the mood to smoke?" Arthur was sweating. He wanted to scold Linn but he didn't even have the mood to open his mouth.

"We won't die." Linn said.

"What?"

"Lehner is deliberately pretending to be weak. I suspect he wants to use this to make the punters lose confidence in him, and then when the punters are betting their lives on others, he will win in one fell swoop and use the rules to eliminate everyone present.

Drop it." Linn stretched out his hand, "Give me a cigarette."

Hearing this, Arthur's expression changed several times in just a few seconds: "You, you mean... he will win?"

"Calm down and think about it. Even if he was an ordinary person, he wouldn't have been beaten so badly that he couldn't even fight back, right?" Lin En said for the third time, "Give me a cigarette."

"Ah, here, don't you smoke?" Arthur wiped the sweat from his face and asked while handing Linn a cigarette.

Lin En breathed a long sigh of relief and lit the cigarette: "No matter how good my heart is, I can't bear the ups and downs, so I'll smoke a cigarette to slow down."

"It's really uncomfortable to feel that your fate is all in the hands of others..." Arthur almost came to his senses, but his pale face had not yet recovered.

"Huh... cough cough..." Lin En choked on the smoke, "Is it possible that our fate has been in our hands before?"

"That's true..." Arthur rubbed his face and experienced the feeling of surviving a disaster without doing anything.

"Look." Lin En was about to try taking another puff and slowly adapt to the cigarette. At the same time, the situation in the iron cage reversed.

Probably because he was too excited, the powerful man's strength was quickly exhausted.

Reiner found the opportunity to lift the powerful man's legs high and flip them to the ground.

"thump!"

The powerful man hit the ground on the back of his head first, and his eyesight turned black after falling on the spot.

Reiner took the opportunity to strangle his neck with his arms.

The powerful man, breathless and rolling his eyes, fluttered his hands wildly, but he couldn't catch Reiner underneath him.

In just a few minutes, the hand he tried to open Reiner's arm slipped away weakly, and his body stopped moving.

"The game is over." Boxing ring owner Dempsey stopped the game.

Four bodyguards entered the iron cage, two dragged away the body of the powerful man, and two dragged Reiner, who looked seriously exhausted and could not stand up, back to the waiting area.

"Is this an act? It looks like it." Arthur saw Reiner's dying look and said, "It's even less likely that anyone will vote for him in the next round."

"This is his purpose." Linn was very sure that Reiner was going to paralyze the bettors.

"But why is he targeting the bettors? We have a grudge against him?" Arthur leaned towards Lehner in order to act like a pig and eat the tiger, so as to lower other boxers' vigilance against him in the next round.

Lin analyzed based on Reiner's negative depravity value: "Not surprisingly, he couldn't stand this group of degenerate powerful people, and it was inconvenient for him to solve it himself, so he could only use the rules to realize his own ideas."

"Isn't he... too?"

"The powerful are not necessarily all rotten people." Lin En said, "When he first came to the boxing ring, I heard others say that it was his first time here...so the situation is very clear."

Arthur was still prejudiced because of Reiner's cold attitude: "I don't think he is a good person."

"None of this matters, we just need to wait for the three rounds to end and get points as rewards." Linn was too lazy to try and make Arthur change his mind about Reiner.

"It's good to be alive. From the looks of it, this mission is quite simple." Arthur glanced at Linn, wanting to know what his trump card was.

Linn said nothing.

He didn't think this task was easy.

If he didn't have the ability to see other people's corruption levels and identities, it would be difficult for him to bet his life on Reiner.

In that case, he would most likely acquiesce in Arthur becoming a boxer and bet his life on Arthur.

Fortunately, the last two sets of the first round ended in less than ten minutes.

Of the twenty-seven bettors, eleven dignitaries were shot on the spot because their bets failed in the first round.

The smell of blood filled the ring much stronger than an hour ago.

I don’t know whether it was because the smell was too strong or because they were under too much pressure, but two dignitaries vomited out everything they ate and drank before the second round of competition began.

Linn, Arthur saw this and moved his position again, simply sitting on the other side facing the iron cage.

"The second round of competition is divided into two groups, with six people in each group. The betting rules are the same as the previous round. Everyone must bet on two rounds of twelve people before the second round of competition is over. The game is over.

Anyone who still has no bets will be killed on the spot by me." Before the end of the first round, Demps, the owner of the boxing ring, eagerly organized and started the first group of the second round.

The first six people to appear included the middle-aged awakened ones, but there was no sign of Reiner.

"Then the last round will definitely be a showdown between the two of them. By then, neither side will be hiding, and we will be able to see the strength of the other awakened ones." Arthur said, looking at the six people being escorted into the cage.

"By the way, when it comes to the last round, how many bets are left?"

"There is no one left except us." Lin En looked at the dignitaries having a heated discussion on one side.

The second round is much more difficult than the first round.

There are twelve groups in the first round, and each group has only two people.

They have plenty of room to wait for a group that appears to be very different in strength to appear before placing bets.

Even if it is impossible to tell who is stronger and who can win the boxing match from the appearance, the probability of winning or losing the bet is still 50%.

The second round was completely different. There were two groups in total, with as many as six people in each group.

It is difficult to pick one of the six people who can stand at the end, not to mention that multi-person melee focuses more on adaptability. The strong ones may be attacked immediately, and even the appearance cannot be used as a reference.

To choose the winner, you must have great luck.

However, luck is not on the side of the powerful now.

The middle-aged awakened person in both groups, Reiner, is not a popular choice for the winner. Without the same superpower as Linn, it is almost impossible for anyone to choose them.
