Chapter 114: Despicable Lockhart

The passage was very dark. Hermione and Ron held up their wands for illumination, and Harry was responsible for looking around. Only Lockhart followed mechanically. His white clothes were now stained with mud, his face was pale, and his face was gloomy. He didn't know what he was thinking.

As a group of people walked forward in the dark passage, the muddy ground made a pattering sound with every step they took. It was extremely harsh against the sound of water drops.

"If something goes wrong, just close your eyes and cast the spell." Harry reminded the two of them as they walked.

After walking a certain distance, the skeletons of various small animals gradually appeared on the ground. This also made everyone anxious and quickly accelerated their pace.

After turning a corner, the outline of a huge creature came into view. It was lying motionless on the stone platform in the distance.

The four of them immediately stayed motionless, and Hermione nervously grabbed Ron's hand.

Among them, Lockhart's performance was the worst. He covered his face with his hands and turned his back.

"Maybe it fell asleep," Ron said with a hint of hope.

No one answered, everyone held their chests tightly, fearing that the rapid heartbeat would wake up the monster.

In the end, Harry grabbed Ron and bravely raised the fluorescent light and moved forward slowly. Gradually, a huge, green, and very bright snake skin appeared in everyone's eyes. The layers of snake skin were the least.

Fifty feet.

"Oh my God! How big is this?" The trio already knew that the monster was a big snake, so they were somewhat mentally prepared. However, Lockhart's legs gave way and he fell to the ground.

"What's wrong with you?" Seeing Lockhart's performance, Hermione's expression was extremely exciting.

"Bang!" Ron also glanced at him, and then turned his head disdainfully, as if he had already thought of this outcome.

While everyone's attention was attracted by the snake skin, Lockhart glared fiercely, quickly stood up and stepped forward, holding Hermione hostage and throwing away her wand.

"Asshole! What are you doing!" Ron turned around when he heard the movement and yelled when he saw the situation.

"What do you mean?" Harry also had a cold face.

"The adventure is over kids-" He resumed his disgusting smile.

"You want to run away?!" Hermione looked very incredulous. "You have written so many great things in the book, but now you want to run away!"

"My dear, books can be deceiving," Lockhart smiled slyly.

"But your stories -" Hermione shouted

"Think about it~ As readers, would you rather read about the deeds of an ugly old American wizard, or the handsome and powerful me? Although he saved a village from the danger of werewolves. Or maybe you would like to hear about a hairy old wizard?

The story of the chin-hugging witch?”

"So you charge what others do to your own account?" Harry's face became even colder.

"You said it seems easy!" Lockhart said impatiently. "You know, in order to make the story more convincing, I first have to find them and ask for the detailed solution process. Then I have to give them a forgetting spell."

, to ensure that they forget about it. Thanks to them, I can know the Forgetting Curse well. And the follow-up work is also very heavy. I have to keep signing autographs and taking photos for fans. I believe you have a deep understanding of this kind of hardship?"

"You bastard! I'm going to kill you!" Hermione struggled hard. Unfortunately, she was too small and she was still a girl.

"Okay - the questioning time is over. Don't worry, I will take this snake belt back for you. I will also say to them: I'm very sorry! I was late and couldn't save the girl. And when you saw me

When he saw her bloody body, he sadly lost his mind."

"Let go of Hermione! You shameless guy!" Ron was so angry that he took out his wand excitedly.

"I will let her go, but only after you go crazy," Lockhart teased.

"You——!" Ron was extremely angry. Just when he was about to burn, he suddenly saw Harry winking at him. After thinking calmly for a moment, he returned a look of understanding.

"Lockhart!" Harry shouted after receiving the answer, catching his attention. Then he quickly stepped forward and pretended to take out his wand.

"Say goodbye, Harry! Forget about it—" Lockhart was diverted and waved his wand and shouted at Harry

"Expelliarmus!" Ron seized the opportunity and took action in time

A flash of red light hit Lockhart, knocking him away, and the wand came out of his hand.

If Ivey is here to complain about Lockhart, just cast a curse on him, why are you talking so much nonsense?

"Soulless!" Hermione turned around angrily and picked up her wand.

"Everything is petrified!"

Lockhart, who had just been knocked down, turned into a stone statue before he could even groan.

"Damn it, you hypocrite" Hermione stepped forward and kicked her twice more, causing her own foot pain.

"Okay, leave him alone." Harry picked up Lockhart's wand and continued to lead the way inside.

The three of them turned one corner after another, and finally came to a stone door. Two intertwined snakes were engraved on the door, and the eyes were set with shining emeralds.

Harry stared at the snake's head and slowly approached. The two snakes were carved vividly, and their emerald eyes were twinkling.

He knew what to do and cleared his throat without hesitation

"Open"

The mute snake language sounded, the two snakes slowly separated, and the stone door retreated into the wall.

The three of them looked at each other, and Harry swallowed and said

"Go in"

Behind the door is a very large and empty room. The roof is pitch black, and you can't see how high it is. There is a wide and straight passage in the center of the room, leading directly to the opposite side. There are pools on both sides of the road, and eight giant snake statues are symmetrically arranged in the pool.

On both sides. At the end of the room is a huge stone wall, which is vaguely carved into a human face.

"Do you want to go there?" Hermione asked softly, "I always feel that the basilisk will ambush us in the water."

"Walking back to back, close your eyes and be careful," Harry directed.

The three of them leaned together, forming a 360-degree lineup with no blind spots, and slowly moved forward.

When we walked to the middle, the carved stone statue at the end became clear. It was an old man with a monkey-like face. He had sparse beard and thick long hair. But this was not important, because the bottom of the statue was blocked by the snake pillar in the pool.

In the part, there was a little red-haired figure lying there.

"Ginny!" Harry shouted and ran over quickly. Hermione and Ron followed closely.

"Ginny! Don't die! Please, don't die!" Harry shook Ginny's body vigorously

There was no response, her head hanging lifelessly to the side. Her eyes were closed tightly, her face was bloodless, and she was horribly pale. Hermione held Ginny's hand and said tremblingly.

"Why is her body so cold~"

"Ginny, please wake up," Ron called hoarsely.

"She won't wake up" came a young and magnetic voice.
