Chapter 128: Protection of Fantastic Beasts

After what Professor Trelawney did, everyone was a little nervous. The Transfiguration class no longer had the joyful atmosphere it once had.

In this class, Professor McGonagall explained the Animagus to everyone and demonstrated it personally. She transformed from a human form into a tabby cat in public.

Unfortunately, except for a few rough guys like Ivey who applauded, most students didn't react at all.

"What's wrong with you? Although I don't care, this is the first time that my transformation didn't win the applause of my classmates."

Professor McGonagall's question was not answered. Everyone just turned to look at Harry. In order to avoid everyone's gaze, he chose the corner position.

"Miss Granger, what happened?" The student's strange reaction aroused Professor McGonagall's curiosity.

"Professor, we just had a divination class. Professor Trelawney asked us to read tea leaves, but-"

"Oh - I see," Professor McGonagall interrupted Hermione, "So the person who will die this year is Mr. Potter, right?"

"Yes" Harry answered honestly

"I wouldn't worry if I were you. Since Professor Trelawney came to the school, she has predicted the death of a student every year. It is a special way she uses to welcome new classmates. But so far, this prediction has never

It has not been fulfilled.”

After hearing this, the students felt more relaxed.

"So, you should just focus on your homework today. Even if you are really dead, you must finish your homework first!"

"What!"

"Professor! That's not fair!"

"We are all going to die! You don't respect the dead!"

The classroom atmosphere became active again

————

In the lunch restaurant

"Where's Hermione?" Ivy and Betty arrived late.

"She said something suddenly occurred to her and she didn't know where she went." It could be seen that Ron was still in a heavy mood.

"Harry," he asked seriously, "you must have never seen a big black dog somewhere, right?"

"I met the Dursleys just after I left," Harry said calmly.

"Crack-" The fork in Ron's hand suddenly dropped.

"What's wrong? Is there anything wrong with the black dog?" Ivy asked.

"Professor Trelawney predicted that Harry's sign of death would be a black dog," Ron said uneasily.

"Black dog? Isn't Lu Wei also a black dog? He saved your lives last semester," Ivey said

"That's different! Besides, we almost died when we saw Lu Wei for the first time." Ron was still quite superstitious.

"That's just an ordinary stray dog" came Hermione's voice.

"Where have you been?" Ron looked at Hermione who suddenly appeared.

"I haven't gone anywhere." Hermione simply dealt with Ron. "Ivy, Betty, please come out. I have something to ask you."

"We? - OK"

The two followed Hermione out of the restaurant and came to an empty corridor.

"What's going on? I still have to carry them on my back."

"Do you remember the last time we discussed Scabbers in the car? I listened to Professor McGonagall's lecture and thought it should be an Animagus." Hermione frowned and paced back and forth.

"Then what?"

"After class, I went to check a lot of information. I found that there are only seven registered Animagus in this century. Unfortunately, there are no rats among them."

“Just because there’s no record doesn’t mean there’s no record.”

"I know. So I want to discuss the possibility of this situation with you."

Looking at Betty, Ivy said, "We think so too. And based on the location of Scabbers's severed finger, we also speculate that it is probably the Animagus form of Peter Pettigrew."

"It seems that we have the same intuition. But why didn't you tell me on the train?" Hermione was satisfied with her inference, but she didn't understand why he hid it.

"You've already tried the reason. How did Ron react when you showed doubts?" Ivy asked back.

"I know he will be angry. But I am afraid that Ron will be like Ginny last semester and become at the mercy of others, or in other more dangerous situations." She expressed her worries.

"Hermione, you are too nervous. Not everyone can compare with Voldemort. Just because Voldemort can do it doesn't mean Peter can do it too. Since you know the Animagus, you should know that Peter doesn't have a wand right now. Moreover,

It has been hiding in the Weasley family for twelve years, and if it wanted to harm Ron, it would not wait until now. It is obviously hiding from something, and it will not expose itself unless it is absolutely necessary."

"Besides," Ivy looked at Hermione with a smile, "he still has you, I believe our know-it-all lady can handle it completely."

"I hate that title," Hermione said expressionlessly. "But you're right! I will keep an eye on that guy."

"Hermione, there's something I'm curious about. Have you taken all the classes on your schedule?" Betty suddenly asked

"It's up~"

"Don't you have many classes at the same time? How did you take them?"

"Well~——I won't tell you."

He left these words and ran away.

————

At two o'clock in the afternoon, on the lawn outside the castle, groups of students rushed to the hunting ground near the forest.

"Hagrid won't lead the fire dragon here, will he?" The shadow of the first grade is still hanging over Ron's mind.

"Maybe it's something more dangerous, like Fluffy," Harry agreed. It wasn't that he was maliciously speculating, Hagrid was just too unreliable.

"It's hard to say. After all, this is Hagrid's first class. He will probably find a heavyweight guest." Ivy deliberately frightened the two of them.

Ron's face turned pale and his lips trembled a little. He suddenly said seriously, "Ivy! If something unexpected happens later, you must save me first!"

"That's a good thing -" After hearing this, Hermione complained in a low voice

"Don't worry, I will collect the body for you," Ivey replied lazily.

"Look" Ron pointed forward

It was the three Malfoys. They were looking around with wild smiles on their faces, and they would make sarcastic remarks from time to time.

"Looking at their proud looks, they must not know what they will face soon," Ron said sarcastically.

Arriving at the hut, Hagrid was already standing in front of the door waiting for everyone. Fang was at his feet, sticking out his tongue.

"Fang is also a black dog. Do you think it is a sign of your death?" Hermione said

"But that dog is different, it looks ominous," Harry argued.

"Please - don't scare yourself. Even if that dog is very special, you won't be the only one who sees it. Will everyone who sees it die?" As a wizard, Hermione was extremely pragmatic.

"It's different, Hermione. The omen only affects certain people and has no effect on others. Just like my uncle Bilius, he also saw the omen and died twenty-four hours later.

Yes." Ron was convinced of this.

"Huh - you must be crazy" Hermione was left speechless.

"Can you please respect Hagrid?" Ivy interrupted their discussion.

The three people were arguing quite loudly, and Hagrid could only watch awkwardly.

"Sorry, Hagrid" Hermione said very apologetically

"It's okay, as long as you're okay." It didn't matter to Hagrid, although it made him forget the opening remarks he had been thinking about for a long time.

"Come on! Everyone, come this way!" He greeted the students and walked into the Forbidden Forest.

"Hey - are you going to teach in the Forbidden Forest?" Ron was a little worried at the beginning.

Other students, including Malfoy, also looked reluctant.

"It's really inappropriate." Hermione didn't argue this time.

"It's okay, I'm here." Ivey took the lead and followed him.

Now that the master had set an example, everyone felt relieved and followed suit. Even Malfoy had to admit that this guy was indeed protected.

Five minutes later, Hagrid took the students to a small hunting ground outside the Forbidden Forest.

"Is everyone here? - Very good! I have something good to show you today! I promise this class will be very exciting!" Hagrid was very excited, as if he had foreseen the students' surprise when they saw that thing.

A restless expression.

"Okay, now everyone open the textbooks first," he said with a smile.

But Hagrid's words had no effect. The little wizards looked at me and I looked at you, with embarrassed expressions on their faces.

"What's wrong?" he asked doubtfully.

"How do you open it?" Malfoy asked coldly.

"Huh?" Hagrid didn't respond.

"How do we open the textbook?" Malfoy took out the monster book tied with a rope. Seeing this, other students also took out the textbooks, which were all tied tightly with various ropes. Ivy and the others also used

The five books tied with iron chains have not been touched since I bought them.

"Can no one open the textbook?" Hagrid's tone was quite disappointing.

"Actually, it's very simple to appease the monster book. I thought everyone would know it. Just stroke it down the spine of the book and they won't bite." Hagrid explained rather depressedly.

"Huh!" Ivey tore off the chain, picked up the books and distributed them to the four of them. He experimented according to the method taught by Hagrid, and sure enough, the grinning monster book lay quietly in his hands.

With them as guinea pigs, the rest of the students followed suit. Malfoy looked at the book lying in his hand and said angrily, "So it's so simple~ Why didn't we guess that we have to pet them? We are really stupid!"

"

Anyone can hear the sarcasm in his words

"I-I thought you would like it. I think they are quite interesting." Hagrid suddenly became at a loss.

"It's really interesting," Malfoy said with a playful expression. "It would be even more interesting if it could bite off a few more people's arms."

His words hit Hagrid hard. Hagrid stood there dejectedly and picked his fingers.

"Shut up! Malfoy" Harry was the first to come out to support Hagrid. Although he also felt that it was inappropriate to use the monster book as a textbook, he was not as impartial as Hermione.

"If you don't like it, let's see magical animals." Hagrid quickly adjusted his attitude. He felt that those magical creatures would definitely be able to turn around the situation.

"Hush!" He whistled loudly. In a moment, more than a dozen colorful tall creatures ran out of the forest.

"Wow~" the little wizards exclaimed, not sure whether they were scared or excited.

The running creature has the head of an eagle, the body of a horse, a pair of plump eagle wings folded at its side, and a sharp, barb-shaped beak with a metallic luster.
