Chapter 20 A small goal

The students squeezed out of the door of the auditorium, and the male and female prefects of each house were standing at the door to greet the students of their own houses. The male prefect of Hufflepuff was Cadwallader, who was in fifth grade.

"Hufflepuff new students gather here!" he shouted.

Ivey walked over and said, "Cadwallader, please take them there first. I need Professor Sprout's help with something."

"You can go first, these people haven't arrived yet. If you can move faster, I can wait for you," he reminded.

"Okay, if I'm not here when the time comes, you can leave first." Ivy patted Betty and returned to the auditorium.

In the hall, Dumbledore has left, but several professors have not yet left.

"Hello, professors," Ivey said hello first, and then said to his dean, "Professor Sprout, can I waste some of your time?"

"Of course, what's the matter?" Professor Sprout is a kind and optimistic person. Like Professor Snape, she prefers students from her own college.

"I have something I want to discuss with Principal Dumbledore. Can you please take me to the principal's office?" Ivy asked.

"Can I understand first?"

"I want to get some privileges, such as being able to enter and leave the Forbidden Forest freely."

"This is very dangerous. I can't guarantee that the principal will agree to it." Dean Sprout dissuaded him.

"Please rest assured, I know what I know"

"Okay, please follow me"

An 11-year-old kid said that he had something to do with the principal. To be honest, only people in this world believed it.

Follow the dean through the corridor and climb several stairs to the tallest spire in Hogwarts. After going up the stairs, there is still a corridor, but there is a door at the end with a huge stone beast carved on it.

Dean Prout walked up to the stone beast and shouted:

“Ice lemon juice!”

The stone beast began to rotate and rise, revealing a spiral staircase behind it.

"Go up," Dean Sprout said to Ivy.

He walked up the spiral stairs, and at the top was the office door. A shiny oak door with a brass door knocker in the shape of a griffon.

Ivy knocked on the door knocker

"Come in" came the old voice, and Ivey pushed the door open and entered.

The principal's office is a spacious, beautiful round room. The walls around it are covered with portraits of the old principals, who are all looking at Ivy from the picture frame. There is also a huge table next to the stairs with claw-shaped legs.

There are a lot of silverware on the table, as well as a silver round basin. There is a phoenix perched on the shelf behind the door, and it is resting with its eyes closed. The Sorting Hat that I just saw is also placed on the bookshelf.

Professor Dumbledore was leaning over the silver basin, constantly using his wand to pull out some glowing thread-like things from his head.

"Mr. Shafiq, how can I help you?" the principal asked.

"Mr. Principal, I have a request. I want to be able to enter the Forbidden Forest at will." Ivy bowed.

"Mr. Shafiq, although your family is the school director, I must first consider your safety."

"Principal, I am not asking you as a school director, but as a student. In addition, you don't have to worry about safety issues. I think I have no problem protecting myself now."

Dumbledore looked back at him, "Shafik's ability is naturally very powerful - but Mr. Shafik is also surprisingly sophisticated."

"There is no way. I lost my father when I was not born, and I am always facing the threat of Death Eaters, and my mother's personality is quite off-line, so I learned to be self-reliant very early." Ivy has already thought of his words.

"Well - Ms. Irene is indeed quite unique." Perhaps Irene's unreliable character was very convincing, and Dumbledore agreed with this statement. He went back to tinkering with the pensieve.

"Ivy, are you and Harry good friends?"

"We went to primary school together for six years" did not answer directly. He believed that Dumbledore knew every move Harry made in the Muggle world.

"You know Harry's life experience. If one day Harry needs your help -"

"I can protect him," Ivey thought for a moment and replied.

"Then I have no problem, Mr. Shafiq. I will inform the professors later and appoint you as the acting prefect of Hufflepuff. Your actions will not be restricted at Hogwarts. But I still

I suggest you not go to those dangerous places."

"Thank you so much"

Leave the principal's office

"Dean Sprout, thank you for your help!" Ivy bowed and thanked him.

"It's okay, kid. Come on, I'll take you to Hufflepuff's common room. You can't get in if you don't know how."

The two left here and walked to another tower. Above their heads, cascading marble stairs connected many passages. The surrounding walls were covered with portraits, and the characters in the portraits were all movable. At this point, many of them were already asleep.

. And they will not be trapped in the portrait. Ivey just saw a woman walking towards the edge of his frame, and then walking out of the portrait next to her.

"Be especially careful! These stairs are constantly moving. If you are not careful, you may break into some dangerous places. But they also move regularly and will lead to specific areas at specific times. As for the specific

The rules - well - you'll figure it out over time."

It seems that the dean himself didn’t remember it either.

"Actually, there is another way - that is, the people in the paintings. Hi, Mrs. Hughes." Dean Sprout greeted the woman who was looking in the mirror in the portrait on the left.

"If you can't find the way, you can also ask them. These portraits are on the stairs every day, and they know the changing patterns very clearly, but remember, you must be polite! The other thing you need to pay attention to is Peeves. Peeves often

It plays tricks on students here, but you don’t have to worry, it has a good relationship with the fat monk and usually doesn’t play tricks on Hufflepuff students.” On the way back, Professor Sprout has been helping Ivy get familiar with the castle environment.

Finally, the two stopped in a corridor, with many wooden barrels stacked in front of them.

"The entrance to the Hufflepuff common room is right here." Professor Sprout reached out and tapped the bottom of the barrel in the middle of the second row.

"The rhythm of tapping is two quick and one slow. If you tap wrongly, you will be doused with vinegar, and the smell will be difficult to wash away."

As the dean made the correct instructions, the barrel lid began to rotate, and the lid mouth continued to expand until the door to the lounge was exposed.

"Avi, you must remember how to open the door! Now, go in and rest."

“Thank you again”

He walked in. There were still many people in the lounge, and the little wizards were relatively energetic. Ivy found Betty in the crowd and came to her. Betty had already changed into purple pajamas and was leaning on the sofa eating dessert.

Let me mention here that Hufflepuff's lounge is right next to the kitchen, and little wizards often secretly get something to eat in the middle of the night.

"Back" Betty said

"Well, the conversation is over"

Sit down next to her

"It feels like you are hiding something from me."

"I'm only 11 years old, what can I hide from you?"

"That's not true. You always act like an adult."

"You have the nerve to tell others, look at you, you don't look like a little girl, you look like a noble lady."

"Then what are you doing all this for?"

"I'm going to be a chef"

"Chef?" Betty looked at him with disdain. "As one of the most powerful pure-blood families, the last heir of the Shafiq family wants to be a chef."

"Hey, you are discriminating! Every profession needs respect."

"I don't discriminate against professions, I just despise you"

"Don't be in a hurry to despise me. When I master it later, you will be blessed." Ivy hugged Betty and leaned over with a playful smile.

"If you want to eat well, I can learn from my cousin. Do you still need to practice by yourself?"

"You guys? It's not that I look down on you. The food here, even the ceiling-level delicacies, is very average. Even if you learn to the end, it's just like that. I'm different. You may have never heard of the dishes I master.

"Avi first despised British food, and then boasted proudly.

"Haha, I remember that you haven't cooked a meal since you were a kid. I'm afraid you can't even wash the dishes." Betty obviously didn't like him. "Besides, cooking is a technical job. Give you a live chicken, you

Will he kill?"

"Uh-" This really stopped him. Although he had cooked a lot of dishes, he had never killed a chicken.

Seeing him dumbfounded, Betty got up and walked to the bedroom

"So, you'd better be your wizard. I'm going to rest. I didn't go to bed early to wait for you."
