Chapter 32: Battle of Slytherin

The Quaffle reached the top, and just as it was about to fall, Angelina Johnson, the chaser of Gryffindor, rushed forward and got the ball.

"Oh! The Quaffle was snatched by Gryffindor! What an outstanding chaser, and he's also very charming -"

"Jordan!"

"I'm sorry, Professor"

Lee Jordan was closely monitored by Professor McGonagall to prevent his explanation from being unfair.

Angelina and Aria cooperated closely, passing the ball back and forth from left to right. After bypassing Slytherin goalkeeper Blake, they scored.

"Beautiful goal! Gryffindor scores first!"

"Yeah——!" The stands of the Lion Court burst into cheers.

"It's quite interesting," Ivey commented with gusto as he watched the players being chased by Bludgers running around the field.

"It's so noisy~" Betty was still the same. She was holding a bucket of popcorn in her hand, looking at the venue, and putting each one in her mouth.

"How about it? I'm pretty good at it, right?" Ivey grabbed a handful and stuffed it into his mouth.

"I changed the ingredients and the popcorn was baked in the oven. What else did you do besides watching?" Betty didn't buy it.

"Didn't I come up with the idea?" Ivey was about to retort.

"Despicable!" "Referee, red card! Send him off!"

"There are no red cards in Quidditch! Idiot!"——

The crowd roared with excitement, and Ivey looked towards the field. Slytherin's captain, Chaser Marcus Flint, grabbed the batsman's bat, hit a Bludger towards Wood, and hit

Its shot down.

Madam Hooch angrily scolded Flint, then ordered the Gryffindor team to take a free kick at the goal post.

When something like this happened, it was difficult for Lee Jordan, who was born in Gryffindor, to be impartial.

"After that obvious and despicable act of cheating—"

"Jordan!" Although Professor McGonagall was also very angry, she still warned him to be fair.

"I mean—after that public and offensive foul play—"

"Jordan, let me remind you-"

"Okay, okay, Flint's foul gave Gryffindor a free kick. But Gryffindor also lost a good goalkeeper."

"Eh? Is it a foul to hit a Bludger to attack someone else?" Ivey didn't understand.

"No foul. But only the batter can hit the ball, and Flint is the chaser!" Mike explained at the side

"Is Wood okay? He looks very dangerous." Hannah expressed concern for the player. The little girl has a good heart.

"It's okay. The ground is full of sand and grass. If you get hit by a Bludger, you'll be unconscious for a while. The worst thing that could happen is a broken arm or leg. Ivey should be aware of this kind of injury. It can be done in one night.

Okay." Justin also understands

"Something doesn't seem right about Harry." Betty, who had been quietly watching the game, suddenly spoke up.

How many people looked

"It's coming, it's coming -" Ivey counted with all his heart

"What's going on? The broom is out of control?"

"Maybe Harry's practice time was too short and he couldn't control it well."...

Everyone was talking a lot. The main reason was that they had never seen Harry play Quidditch and didn't know what his level was, so they didn't suspect anyone was deliberately interfering. Most of them thought that it might be Harry's first time participating in the competition and he was so nervous that he performed abnormally.

Gryffindor Stand

"The flying broom is broken?" Seamus whispered.

"No way! Nothing can interfere with a broomstick except powerful black magic!" Hagrid retorted, putting down his telescope.

After hearing this, Hermione grabbed Hagrid's telescope. She did not look at Harry, but looked anxiously on the stands.

"No, Hermione, there are so many people here." Ron knew what Hermione meant.

"People who study dark magic are very brave - found it! - I guessed it!" Hermione put down the telescope.

"Snape"

"Let me take a look!" Ron took the telescope. Snape sat in the middle of the stands opposite them, his eyes fixed on Harry, and he muttered something silently.

"What is he doing?" Ron asked

"He's doing something evil--saying something evil to the broomstick--" Hermione paused suddenly.

"How are you sure he is going to steal things instead of protecting them?" Ivy's words suddenly flashed through his mind.

"Ron! Look for Quirrell and see what he is doing!" Hermione patted Ron and spoke quickly.

"Quirrell? Oh! You mean-"

"Yeah" Hermione nodded.

Ron hurriedly searched the stands. Coincidentally, Quirrell was sitting in the row behind Snape.

"He's just like Snape! He's also casting spells. What should we do?" Ron ran out of ideas.

"It seems like what Ivy said, one of them protects and the other steals, but who is good and who is bad?" Hermione also had a headache.

"Is it possible that they're both bad guys?" Ron asked.

"Impossible! Let's not talk about Quirrell for now. As the dean, Snape's strength goes without saying. The two of them cast spells at the same time, and Harry couldn't bear it at all." Hermione said with certainty.

"What now?" Ron asked again

"I have a way, look at me" Hermione ran out

On the field, while everyone's attention was on Harry, Flint scored many goals with the ball.

Here, Hermione squeezed through the crowd with difficulty and came under Snape's stand. She took out her wand and muttered a few words silently, and a small blue flame flew from the wand onto Snape's robes.

After finishing, Hermione immediately returned to the stand.

"What did you do? Why didn't it work?" Ron looked at Hermione who had returned. At this time, Harry was still struggling to hold on in the air.

"Just a moment. I lit Snape's robes on fire. If the curse stopped when Snape put out the fire, it was him. If it didn't stop -" Hermione said confidently.

"Then Quirrell is the thief!" Ron also reacted. "You are so smart Hermione!" This time he really admired him.

"Humph, of course!" Hermione was also a little proud. "Don't be in a daze, just stare."

"Oh! Right -" Ron raised the telescope again

About ten seconds passed before Snape realized that his body was on fire. He stood up suddenly and turned around. Quirrell, who was in the back row, was immersed in chanting a spell and did not notice that Snape turned around and was taken down by him.

"Damn it!" Ron yelled

"What's wrong? Is it him?" Hermione asked quickly.

"When Snape stood up, he knocked Quirrell down and they both stopped casting spells." Ron told Hermione the situation.

"Damn it!" Hermione was annoyed, and then said, "Is Harry okay?"

"Well, it's back to normal." Ron observed.

————

"What happened over there in the teachers' stand? Why is there still smoke?" Mike felt that there were so many strange things today.

"Harry is fine again!" Hannah suddenly discovered

Over the field, Harry climbed back on the broom. The Golden Snitch happened to flash past him, and Harry quickly dived towards the ground. Slytherin's Seeker Terrence Higgs also followed, and the two of them kept pace.

Rush to the ground together.

When he was about to hit the ground, looking at Harry who was still accelerating, Higgs cursed "madman" secretly and then left.

Harry was already less than three feet away from the ground, and everyone thought he would hit the ground hard. Even Madam Pomfrey was preparing to come to the rescue.

"Wow——!" came the screams from the surrounding stands.

Harry did not slow down. He stepped on the broom head with both feet, held the handle with both hands, and tried with all his strength to lift the broom. The entire handle was bent by his pull. There was an unknown animal on the broom head underneath.

His hair was already grazing the turf as he moved forward.

In the end, it successfully corrected its direction before impact, flew close to the ground and chased the Golden Snitch.

As the distance got closer and closer, Harry squatted on the broom and slowly stood up. He slowly stretched out his arms, only one palm away from the snitch, but it became increasingly difficult to maintain stability. The constant collision with the airflow kept him standing

Unstable.

"Can't wait any longer!"

Harry kicked hard on the broom with both feet, and his whole body rushed forward. He fell from the air and fell to the ground. His body rolled several times with the inertia. He felt his body and found that nothing was wrong. At most, there were some scratches, but his throat felt like

Something got stuck. He put his hands on the ground and prepared to stand up.

As he slowly stood up, the entire stadium became quiet, and everyone was looking forward to a certain moment.

People saw Harry suddenly covering his mouth as if he was about to vomit.

"Ahem——"

A golden object spit out from his mouth and fell into his palm. He tightened his grip and then slowly released it. In his palm, a small golden ball was retracting its transparent wings.

"Snitch! It's the Golden Snitch! Harry Potter caught the Golden Snitch! Gryffindor wins!" Lee Jordan announced loudly
