Chapter 1 The Wedge: The Rainy Night Visitor

Night, heavy rain.

At first glance, the solitary building looked like a lonely tomb standing in the rain. The rain washed away its walls, almost drowning out the light transmitted through the building.

A bolt of lightning flashed across the night, revealing the figure of a man wearing a black poncho. He stood in front like a ghost. Under the dark night, he could not be seen clearly. He could only vaguely see the hand holding a hand in his hand.

Holding an axe, the rainwater fell along the poncho, fell on the axe, and then slowly dripped onto a luggage bag next to it. If you watch it in slow motion, it looks like the opening of a horror murder movie.

Squeak, the door of the lonely building rang, and a rickety figure walked out of it. It was a man in his fifties. He waved around with a flashlight and pushed some washbasins outside the door.

Pushed and quickly closed the door.

He put away the axe, lifted the brim of his poncho, shouldered the luggage bag next to him, then quickly arrived in front of the lonely building, and knocked on the door.

Soon, the door opened, and the hunched man from before poked his head out, looked at him suspiciously and asked, "What do you do?"

He took out a piece of paper from his pocket and shouted loudly through the sound of rain, "Rent a house, isn't there a house for rent here?"

After the man saw the piece of paper, he opened the door.

The door was closed, and the sound of wind and rain was also blocked outside.

"It's raining so heavily. Why are you here to rent a house now? The landlord may be asleep." The man picked up an umbrella and handed it to him.

He looked forward and realized that the old man lived in a small house at the door. He walked inside and passed through a corridor to reach the lone building.

"It happened so urgently, I'm sorry." He smiled and followed the man forward.

The rain was getting heavier and heavier, with no intention of stopping.

Finally, they came to the lonely building.

He put down his luggage bag and looked at the lonely building in front of him. Perhaps because of excitement, his body could not help but tremble slightly.

The man knocked on the door of the room on the left side of the first floor.

"Who is it?" A woman's voice came from inside.

"Shufang, there is someone renting a house, and they said they came here after seeing the advertisement." The old man said to the door.

The door opened, and a woman in her fifties walked out. She was wearing a pair of bright red pajamas and looked at the man with a smile on her face.

"Okay, let's talk. Call me if you need anything." The man held an umbrella and left.

"Do you know the condition of this house?" the woman asked.

"I know, I'm just anxious, so I rushed over here. I have all the money, just give me a room if there is one available." The man said and took out an envelope from his chest, which contained a stack of hundred-dollar bills.

"Okay, okay, come in first and I'll write you a receipt." When he saw the money, the landlord couldn't help but his eyes lit up and he took it with a smile.

"No, I'm covered in rain, just wait here. Just give me the key," he said.

"Room 205, here is the key. The toilets are public and are available on every floor. The fourth floor is the attic. It is locked and you cannot go up. There is nothing else. If you need anything, knock on the door and see me at any time." The landlord took out the key.

A key was handed to him.

He nodded, picked up the luggage bag on the ground, and walked to the second floor.

The room was not big, more than thirty square meters, with a bed, a table, a stool, and nothing else. He took off his poncho, revealing a delicate and pale face, and he wiped it

With the rain on his face, he put the luggage bag on the bed and opened the zipper of the luggage bag. Inside was a girl of about twenty years old. Her eyes were closed, a towel was stuffed in her mouth, and her body was motionless.

He took the girl out of the luggage bag. Under the light, the woman looked particularly beautiful. Although she was packed in the luggage bag, the rain did not wet her body. Even her hair was very clean and neat. The girl was wearing a lace jumpsuit.

Body skirt, white lace socks, black princess shoes,

He gently touched the girl's face, as if staring at a piece of exquisite porcelain.

Bang bang bang, at this time, there was a knock on the door suddenly.

"Who?" he shouted warily, covering the girl with a luggage bag and quickly walked to the door.

"It's me. I'm bringing you a pot of hot water. I see you just came from outside." A familiar voice came from outside the door, that of the landlord.

"Oh, thank you. I'm changing clothes. Leave it at the door." He breathed a sigh of relief.

"Okay." The landlord said and left quickly.

He stuck to the door and waited for the landlord to leave before opening the door. There was a hot water bottle and a washbasin at the door. He picked them up and was about to come back. At this time, he found that the door opposite was opened a crack, and a pair of eyes

She was staring at him, and when she saw that he had discovered it, the other party immediately closed the door.

He closed the door, put the hot water bottle and basin aside, and walked to the bed again.

The girl was carefully placed on the bed by him again, and the towel from her mouth was also removed.

He put on a white sterile gown, then put on a mask and gloves. When everything was ready, he picked up the girl, opened the door and walked out.

It was already midnight, the entire corridor was empty, and the voice-activated lights didn't even want to turn on.

He carried the girl to the fourth floor.

This is the attic of Gulou, a forbidden place mentioned by the landlord. There is an iron door at the entrance of the stairs, and a big lock is hung on it.

He put the girl down, then took out a key from his pocket, quickly opened the big lock on it, and then he walked in with the girl in his arms.

There is an indescribable smell in the attic, like the smell of dust or rot. There are no lights in the corridor, only the moonlight comes in from the window, and you can vaguely see water on the ground. When you step over, there is an immediate smell.

Ghostly noises.

In front of one of the rooms, he stopped, then gently pushed the door, and it opened.

It was as if I had entered another world. It was very lively inside. There were hot girls in hot clothes and twisting their waists who were broadcasting live to their mobile phones. There was also a man who was drawing by the moonlight, but the content of the drawing was a twisted dead body.

There was also a man in a white coat who was putting makeup on a corpse. He walked in with a girl in his arms. No one inside seemed to see him or react to his appearance.

He carried the girl to a bed inside and put her down. Behind him was a shelf filled with various bottles. He took out one of the bottles, then tore open a disposable syringe and inserted it into the bed.

The fluid inside was injected into the girl's arm.

Soon, the girl's body began to stretch and she slowly opened her eyes. When she saw everything in front of her, she was stunned. She was about to shout loudly, but he covered her mouth and said softly, "

Hush, don’t disturb them.”

The girl slowly turned her head, looked to the side in horror, and tears suddenly fell down.

"Welcome to the lonely building, oh, no, it should be hell." He laughed, whispered into the girl's ear, and kissed the girl's earlobe.

The girl who was broadcasting on the opposite side, the man who put on makeup and the man who painted, turned their heads and showed a ghostly smile to the girl...

[The author has something to say]

Hello readers, I have officially joined Qimao to create novels. A few years ago I created a work about Monster House, which was also the first book in my Detective Notes series "409 Special Class". Qimao has it for free, so everyone can read it when you have time.

Read on. There are several genius monsters in this book, but it is mainly based on reasoning, so there is not much writing. Later, I wrote a novel about the lonely building, called "The Mysterious Story of the Lonely Tower", but it is mainly based on the story of a lonely tower.

Storytelling is the main focus. I have always hoped in my heart to write a Gulou novel that describes human nature. Now I have finally started. The update will not be fast, but the quality and experience will be guaranteed.
