Chapter 4 Mist

Chapter 4 Mist

While speaking, the Taoist priest turned aside and cleared the way into the temple.

I didn't think much about it, thinking that the old master in the temple was merciful and allowed me to stay in the temple for a while.

The moment I entered the mountain gate, I suddenly felt awkward in my heart, as if something was wrong.

But I can’t tell exactly what’s wrong.

After entering the mountain gate, I saw clearly that there was a courtyard with several entrances.

When you first enter the courtyard, there is a Sanqing Hall, where the Taoist Sanqing should be enshrined. However, the door is closed now, so you can’t see clearly what the clay sculptures of the Sanqing here look like.

There are two rows of side halls on the east and west sides, which should be dedicated to other gods.

Follow the Taoist priest towards the courtyard, he said as he walked:

"Donor, this is an exception for you.

But you have to remember, ours is a Taoist temple - Luoshen Temple, not a monk's temple.

My master is very particular about this. Don’t let him pick your own boat.

That old guy is mentally ill and it's not illegal to beat someone to death."

While talking, he took me into the side hall on the left.

Pointing to the side hall filled with sundries, he said to me:

"Donor, you stay here, no matter what happens outside, don't peek, let alone go out.

When the important things in the temple are over, I will personally take you down the mountain."

Seeing this Taoist priest named Giljin about to leave, I stopped him and said:

"I'll stay here by myself?

Where are the other people who came up just now? They are Fatty Wang and the others.

I stay with them."

"It's just you."

After Gilding glanced at me, he pushed me into the side hall and said:

"You are the only outsider in the temple today. There is no Fatty Wang or Fatty Li here."

While speaking, he had already walked out of the side hall.

By the time I reacted, Giljin had already closed the door and locked it outside.

When I heard the sound of the door being locked, I panicked a little. I opened the crack in the door and said to Giljin:

"Why are you locking the door? What do you want to do?

Then I won’t stay in your monastery anymore. Can’t I just leave?

Open the door. If you don't open the door, I'll kick you."

Seeing that Gao Jin had no intention of opening the door, he turned around and walked towards the outside of the Taoist temple.

From the angle of the door crack, I could only see limited scenery outside, and the gilding quickly left my sight.

I lost my temper and kicked the door of the side hall violently.

Unexpectedly, the door, which looked loose and loose, turned out to be extremely strong.

I kicked four or five times in succession, and there was a lot of noise, but the two doors didn't move at all, and my feet were painful from the kicks.

Seeing that I couldn't go out through the main door, I decided to use the window in the side hall.

But when I walked to the window, I discovered that the window was actually made of cast iron, and it was blocked by an iron rod as thick as a rolling pin.

I tried my best to pull the iron rod off, but I couldn't.

Damn it, am I being tricked?

But what are you plotting against me?

I am the only son of the world's richest man living abroad. This news that I didn't even know was found out by the Taoist priests in the Taoist temple?

Or maybe our ancestors had some treasure that was so rich that my parents forgot to tell me, but the old bastards here found out about it, and they designed it to lead me to this hellish place.

Just when I was thinking wildly, I suddenly found that the side hall was starting to become foggy.

The fog outside actually drifted into the side hall. I opened the door and looked outside, only to find that the yard outside the door was covered with white flowers and nothing could be seen.

What's going on?

This is the first time I have seen fog enter the room since I was a child.

Is this against the laws of nature? No Hollywood movie would dare to make it like this, right?

Just when I was wondering, I heard the sound of someone moving in the yard.

It seemed that a few people came in from the Taoist temple. After walking around the yard, they stopped at the door of my side hall.

Since I didn't know who was outside, I didn't dare to ask for help. Instead, I quietly retreated to the corner and hid carefully.

As soon as I hid here, someone's voice came from outside the door:

"Why is there an extra person in the viewing room?"

This voice sounds like that of Fatty Wang, but if you look carefully, there are some differences.

Could it be that the 'Fat Wang' I heard talking in the mist at the foot of the mountain was him?

But he obviously arrived at the gate of the Taoist temple before me, why did he come in?

At this time, another person's voice sounded outside the door.

Before the man spoke, he sniffed his nose and then said:

"A man bumped in by mistake,

My master had good intentions again and was afraid that he would collide with something else when he came down the mountain.

Let this person stay in the temple and wait until the formation outside retreats before letting him go down the mountain."

It seemed like Fatty Wang’s voice said “hmm”, then he smiled inexplicably and said:

"You can bump in by mistake this way."

Before he could finish these words, the door to the side hall suddenly opened, and thick fog poured in instantly.

I could feel someone walking into the side hall together with the thick fog, but there was something strange about the thick fog. In this moment, it was so hard that I couldn't even see my fingers.

I felt that someone was already in front of me, and even the breath of this person's breath was sprayed on my face.

It was almost face to face, but I just couldn't see the 'person' in front of me.

He even suddenly reached out to grab the 'person' in front of him, but he made several attempts but didn't touch anything.

"You little monkey, you are a bit cunning."

A voice that sounded like Fatty Wang's voice came in front of him, and then the man with the runny nose said:

"Come on, it's almost time to go back.

We can’t afford to delay this.”

It seemed like Fatty Wang’s voice said “hmm”, and then his voice suddenly reached behind my ear and said:

"Little monkey, I don't believe you came in by mistake.

If you can, continue to stay here.”

While this person was speaking, a warm stream of water sprayed on the top of my head.

At this moment, I felt a huge pain in my head, as if it would explode at any time.

Fortunately, the severe pain only lasted for a moment, and then disappeared without a trace.

At this moment, I finally couldn't bear it anymore, turned around and shouted at the fog behind me:

"Who are you pretending to be trying to scare? If you have the ability, show up.

See if I dare to kill you."

After hearing these two words from me, 'Fat Wang' suddenly laughed as if he had heard some funny joke.

"What's so funny!

If you don’t believe me, just come out.”

Before I finished speaking, the thick fog in front of me instantly disappeared without a trace.

The side hall in front of us is still used as a warehouse. How can anyone be there?

I couldn't believe my eyes. There was someone right in front of me just now, and I could smell the breath in his mouth. How could it be gone in an instant?

This must be a dream, yes, Fatty Wang and I got the debt and drank too much at night, so we must have been dreaming and didn't wake up.

Thinking of this, in order to prove that I didn't wake up from the dream, I tried my best to give myself a big mouth

There was a crisp sound of "Pop!", and I was hit with stars in my eyes, and a hot stream of warmth flowed out of my nostrils.

It wasn't a dream, he had a nosebleed.
