If "Caged Bird" is the prologue to the birth of "Ultramarine", it would be better to say that "Purple Ink" is the "first volume" where the plot just begins... But for now, let's treat it as the second volume.
Specifically, this is a story about "Purple Ink".
A story about people getting to know each other through "identity tags." This is roughly what I want to write.
Just like when Russell saw the Bird of Paradise for the first time, he regarded her as an angel; just like when Quan Shu saw the barber in the dream world, he immediately regarded him as a born uncoded person. Even Tovatus'
Elf Ear itself is also a kind of "purple ink".
As I said when I put it on the shelf, the concept of "purple ink" from "The Purple and the Black" itself has nothing to do with the story of the second volume, but it runs through the entire volume.
So the story "Purple Ink" that I previewed when I put it on the shelf became "Purple Ink". So much so that people would guess that the story of this volume is related to "What is Purple Ink"... In fact, it is not related to this at all.
The words are irrelevant, but in another way they are relevant from beginning to end.
I quite like this meta element.
Another inspiration I want to share is about the birds in paradise.
The character "Paradise Bird" was originally a role given to me by Tianzelu. But when I saw this code name, I had new inspiration and thought of a real name suitable for Paradise Bird, which directly gave birth to the second character "Paradise Bird".
Volume story.
What was the specific inspiration?
That is the real name of the Bird of Paradise.
I saw a friend say, "The name Huayu is very Chinese". In fact, it is true... because the real name comes from "Huayu's Paradise Bird".
This is a poem by Mr. Dai Wangshu, called "Paradise Bird".
The whole poem is not long, so I will just put it here:
"Flying, flying, spring, summer, autumn, winter,
Day and night, endless,
Huayu's paradise bird,
Is this a happy wandering or eternal hard labor?
Even when you are thirsty, you drink dew,
Even when you are hungry, you drink dew,
Huayu's paradise bird,
This is a delicacy from the gods,
Or is it because of homesickness for heaven?
It comes from paradise,
Or go to the paradise?
Huayu's paradise bird,
In the vast blue sky,
Do you also feel that your journey is lonely?
If you came from paradise,
Can you tell us,
Huayu's paradise bird,
Since Adam and Eve were expelled,
How desolate are the gardens in heaven?"
This is a symbolist poem written by Mr. Dai Wangshu. Compared with the extremely harmonious musical beauty of "Rain Alley", it uses symbolism to be hazy and clear enough at the same time, and it is intentional and easy to understand at the same time. It is also a symbolism poem.
Excellent article.
It is different from the intention expressed in the original poem. What mainly touches me here is the sentence "Are you coming from paradise, or are you going to paradise?"
As the mechanical angel of the Cyber Church, the father of Paradise Bird himself came from "Paradise" and went to the human world. And as the "Paradise Bird" herself, she went from the human world to Paradise.
This is a wonderful coincidence.
Therefore, before I knew about the laws of heaven as the provider of the supporting role, I had decided to write the real name of the paradise bird as "Hua Yu" as a tribute to this source of inspiration.
So when I think back, the vast blue sky seems to be Russell as the "ultramarine"... That lonely road, that "happy wandering or eternal hard labor" is exactly what the Bird of Paradise has been trying to do to save others since its birth.
It is a portrayal of a life of action; the dew she drinks when she is hungry and thirsty is indeed a "god to the gods" and at the same time a "homesickness to heaven".
Because that is the source of the power of the Holy Order. It is a sacrifice provided to God, and it is also what the mechanical angels do.
This volume is inspired by these two masterpieces.
Thank you all for your support of Overturned Tower.
After that, Mao also shared my inspiration and creative ideas for this volume at the end of each volume.
We have a day off tomorrow as a fixed holiday at the end of each month.
It will be updated normally at noon the day after tomorrow, and it can be killed by fattening it up.
Brother Meng, please remember to read more. It is possible to fatten a cat to death...
I plan to use this book to practice my writing more, so Caged Bird has a completely different structure from Purple Ink, and the next volume will still have a different structure from these two volumes.
But for the next volume, Mao is going to attend a training course at Lu Academy... Although the class schedule has not been released yet, I predict that the third volume may require more leave by then. But in the end it should be within 200,000 words.
, a story that ends in about a month.
Finally, here is the preview of the title of the third volume:
