End of volume testimonials Rashomon

June 26th cannot be considered the middle of the month anyway (sad).

The obsessive-compulsive disorder of wanting to finish each volume in the middle is finally relieved because I can't finish it... I'll just make the next volume longer. If the end of the volume reaches the end of the month, I can just take a vacation until the beginning of the next month. Of course, this

It can also be said to be the formation of another kind of obsessive-compulsive disorder...

After the end of this volume, the plot will gradually become more intense in various senses.

"Ultraline" got in touch with the company's top management, "Godfather" got help from Silence, and "Detective" also made his first appearance. The first round of strengthening of the three identities has been completed, and the bad guy has officially joined the Tower of Babel.

, and as the "Hero Club" is about to collapse due to interference, the "Family" plan to recruit new members will also officially begin.

On the other hand, the suicide note that resulted in Russell's death because he forgot to cancel the scheduled delivery will also force the two young people who have made up their minds to drag each other to face the relationship. Otherwise, they would probably have been dragging each other for several years.

They will all stop in place and remain motionless.

As for the final broken chapter or volume, this is not entirely because the cat is bad... but because going on, it is actually not as interesting as stopping here.

Delphinium is a very smart girl. With her wisdom, she can immediately realize that Russell forgot to cancel the sending of the letter, so she will not directly rush to ask what happened, at least not at home. Because

This is tantamount to admitting to his parents that he and Russell are doing something dangerous, which will only make them worried.

But no matter what, once this letter is sent, the deadlocked relationship between the two parties will definitely change.

So if I write it later, it will lose some of the fun.

But if you stop here, there will be some bad taste.

This is the plot that Cat has laid out from the very beginning of this volume, and it happens to be a before-and-after comparison.

It is precisely to highlight the fun of this part, so the timeline of the next volume will not jump too far, it will still be in summer. It will jump about half a month.

Then the next volume will jump to winter.

Ending the chatter, let’s talk about the inspiration for this volume.

As the name of the epilogue at the end of the volume says, one of the inspirations for this volume is the film "Rashomon" directed by Akira Kurosawa, or the novel "In the Bamboo Grove" by Ryunosuke Akutagawa. The same is true of Seiichiro Oyama's "Letters"

The final piece in the collection of short stories "Mystery Cases" is "Y's Kidnapping".

In the kidnapping of Y, it was also such a strange kidnapping case as the beginning. Everyone here proposed a possibility. Each possibility can be established independently, but another person will immediately propose a more likely possibility.

A kind of conjecture overshadows the previous inference until the end, with two wonderful reversals in just twenty pages, bringing the finishing touch to the entire story.

And after I sighed, "Only the last twenty pages of the last chapter of this book are so exciting, Seiichiro, you are so awesome", I suddenly thought of the movie Rashomon, and then I thought of Bamboo Forest

middle.

The books I often liked to read when I was in high school were short story collections by Akutagawa Ryunosuke and Hitchcock. Those who have read The Player should still remember The Nightmare of Spider Silk... In addition, Kappa, Nose, Playing Samadhi,

The Life of St. Christopher, Bamboo Forest Medium Short Story

I am still deeply impressed by the stories, and of course my favorite story is "Pictures of Hell". I still remember how I felt chills running down my spine when I read this story intently during evening self-study.

You can see a picture of hell.

This volume does not end with a physical "enemy" as its goal. This is also my intention to disrupt this directional thinking... Although strictly speaking, the boss battle only has the ending of the caged bird in the purple ink volume.

It’s a wave of SS. A Kamalse in seconds may not be called a wave of SS battle. However, since many readers think that this “Boss battle is not well written”, it means that the story of Purple Ink still forms a kind of

Directional thinking.

One of the purposes of this volume is to break this kind of thinking. Otherwise, if the reader's eyes are always "looking forward to the appearance of the final wave of ss", they will ignore the previous content and reduce the story to "the wave of ss in this volume".

"Who is it?" and regard other parts as "water". But in fact, the story of this entire volume added up is the story I want to tell.

In the story of "Silence", what I want to tell is that everyone makes some kind of inference about a thing based on their own position, based on what they see and know. In everyone's opinion, they are correct.

, and everyone else is wrong.

They firmly believe that what they know and regard as the truth. But in fact, in the eyes of people with more information and masters of more secrets, the facts they firmly believe are full of flaws, and the remarks they promote are even more ridiculous...

It wasn't until he got more information that he realized his own inferiority and chose to remain silent.

Whether it's Russell being beaten by Zhongxiang, finding the name of his psychic power, or having a conversation with the container... this is a story about growth.

Russell is also growing, and so are the inferiors... In the end, Delphinium finally realized something. There is no doubt that Russell's letter contains the secrets about the Tower of Babel and the elves. This is to enable her to

After his death, he will have the opportunity to find the Tower of Babel and escape from the manipulation of the board of directors.

This is a story about "growth" and "change".

And because such a big topic has been raised, although the number of words in this volume has been expanded from sixty to eighty chapters, there are still many things that have not been explained clearly.

This is also the shortcoming of this volume.

I think there are three biggest shortcomings. One is that the plot of the emperor is not clearly explained. I should probably arrange an independent plot for him; the other is that the transformation of the inferior lacks a process. After Dr. Paradise, there should be an additional story in the lower city.

And the ending part is "not exciting enough". Although the argument with the emperor is the ending plot that existed in the outline from the beginning, symbolizing the confrontation between the new hero and the old hero, it still lacks some "movie feel".

I think the design of the lines is already very good, but perhaps more details can be filled in to render stronger emotions. Or more foreshadowing can be done, or it can be imported directly from the "seeing through the truth" part to this part.

Come on, put the part of Tokifat in the front, but in that case Russell may not be able to achieve good results with Tokifat. And if you put it in the back, it will be emotionally and logically coherent, but the ending is also "not exciting enough"

.

So after thinking about it, I chose the indirect narrative mode. Although there are still some problems, it can at least give 50% of the reading experience without blocking the subsequent plot, which is considered a moderate method.

After all, “I didn’t expect so much before I came into contact with it.”

There is a very strange coincidence here, that is, just like the previous volume, what I want to express is also fed back to myself, making myself an example and having troubles that I cannot express... This has to be said.

A very cool coincidence.

This is the end of this volume of meow words. Cat will also share with you my sources of inspiration, creative ideas, and lessons learned at the end of each volume.

I hope it will be useful to everyone...both authors and readers.

I'll have a day off tomorrow and start the next volume the day after tomorrow.
