Chapter 16

 "What a good thing!"

"Did the principal really say that?"

As soon as Charles entered the Gryffindor common room, he met the Weasley twins who were about to go out. The two guys had bright smiles on their faces after seeing Dumbledore's note.

At this time, other students had already returned to the dormitory. The three of them discussed it in front of the fireplace in the common room and decided that on the way to the cafeteria a few nights later, they accidentally took the wrong path and entered the Forbidden Forest.

"We have something good for you!"

As he spoke, the Marauder's Map appeared in front of Charles.

"Wow!" Charles was also shocked when he saw the Marauder's Map for the first time, and immediately started studying it curiously.

Fred said to him: "This is a good thing we found in Filch's office!"

George continued: "We plan to use it tonight to avoid Filch and visit the Forbidden Forest."

Charles estimated the time and asked them: "Can you lend it to me tonight?"

"No problem!" Fred agreed generously.

George reminded him: "Be careful with Peeves, he can pass through the wall."

The two brothers could see that Charles had no intention of asking them to go together, nor did they force him, but they just told him to be more careful.

Charles thanked them and left the common room again. This time his goal was the prefects' bathroom, thinking that no one would be there at such a late hour, so he could finally take a comfortable bath.

What's the password for the prefect's bathroom? "Fresh pineapple", right?

When Charles realized that this was the password for three years later, and it might be something else this year, he had already been stupidly waiting at the bathroom door for almost an hour.

He imagined that a beautiful senior sister would appear and take him in, but in reality, only Peeves' singing was getting closer and closer.

The first period the next morning was the three herbal medicine classes a week, and Professor Sprout began to teach everyone how to grow white vegetables.

The professor stood beside Charles for a long time and found that his technique was very skillful, as if he was playing with flowers and plants for a long time.

After class, Charles handed Professor Sprout the half-marked map of the greenhouse perimeter.

"You didn't ask for help, did you?" Professor Sprout was a little surprised and happy, "The things you recognized are all correct!"

Charles said with a bit of pride: "I just asked Percy Weasley for advice on what books to look for. The herbs that can be grown outside are non-dangerous herbs, so the scope of the search will be much smaller. These will be quick."

Sprout said with satisfaction: "Very good, you have realized the dangers of herbal medicine. This is the most critical mentality in studying herbal medicine."

Charles took the opportunity to ask: "Professor, I saw a kind of moondew flower in the book, can I plant it?"

Professor Sprout said seriously: "Yes, but you have to be mentally prepared to fail the first time."

Charles asked doubtfully: "Is it difficult to grow this kind of flower, or is it easy to attract insects?"

Professor Sprout felt even more satisfied after hearing his question. He nodded and replied: "Yes, the juice of moon dew flowers is very sweet, and insects like it very much, so you have to come frequently to eliminate insects."

During the second period of the Defense Against the Dark Arts class, Charles thought in the garlic-smelling classroom that it shouldn't be difficult to get rid of insects. How about the Avada Insect Killing Curse? How about asking a basilisk to come out and glare at the insects?

?

After class, Charles went over and asked: "Professor Quirrell, is there any magic spell that only kills life but does not harm other things?"

Quirrell looked at this guy in surprise. Is this what a first-year student should think about?

The two-hole socket on the back of the head was silent. The curse of killing people without leaving traces. People who can have such thoughts are either delicate, have suffered losses, or are talented. I did not have such thoughts at this age.

What?

Today is different from the past. If it were in the past, I would have said to him sincerely: "We Death Eaters need talents like you."

But now is not the time to recruit new Death Eaters. Quirrell asked him seriously: "Smith, why do you want to ask about this curse?"

Charles replied: "I don't want to hurt the flowers and plants in the garden."

Quirrell "thought for a while" and then said: "It is wrong to harm living things. I think you can just use the 'Soft Legs Curse'. Plants have no legs and will not hurt them."

Voldemort knew very well in his heart that killing people with one move and subduing the other person before killing them gave people different feelings. The former is likely to make people feel guilty afterwards, while the latter is likely to make people feel guilty afterwards.

As long as you have this feeling, you will go further and further on this road.

Charles was thinking, this seems to make sense. Plants have no legs but insects have legs. With a "biu", the legs of the insects are so weak that they fall to the ground. It will be easy to deal with it then.

After he figured it out, he immediately said: "Professor, I want to learn this magic spell!"

Quirrell is naturally capable of being a professor at Hogwarts, and this kind of little curse can be easily grasped.

"Look," he raised his wand and cast the spell slowly, "My legs are weak and my feet are weak!"

A white light hit the chair in the classroom, nothing happened.

Charles memorized the gestures and spells of the wand, and tried it. Except for a little white light coming out, it had no effect. More practice is needed.

He then asked Quirrell: "Professor, do you know the Iron Armor Curse?"

Jack had taught him the Iron Armor Charm, but he still wanted to see how the spell had improved over the years.

After Quirrell demonstrated it, Charles discovered that the movements and spells of this curse today are more complicated than those a hundred years ago, but the effect is better. There should be more threats to deal with. I am afraid that many of these threats come from hanging.

The one on the back of the head.

Charles thought that if he could sort out improvement ideas based on the differences between the two, he might be able to improve the armor spell to specialize in certain effects, such as strengthening the fire defense and adding a marquee.

Charles entered the studious and greeting state, and asked Quirrell several magic spells to solve disputes between classmates, such as tripping spells, repel spells, stinging spells, etc.

Under Voldemort's instruction, Quirrell explained these spells to Charles one by one. They were all used by children to fight. They were not too complicated and did not take much time and energy.

Both Quirrell and the current Dark Lord on the back of his head were a little surprised. Charles seemed to be very talented in learning magic. These spells can basically be mastered with just one lesson. All that is needed is more practice to master them.

When Charles entered the state, he almost achieved an achievement - he missed his meal and starved to death Voldemort.
