Chapter 33 You don’t know what friends are

Charles finally negotiated with Snape the processing fee for explosive fluid, and also obtained a rough price list of raw materials available in the Forbidden Forest, so that he could better collect materials.

He went to the kitchen to eat something, and not long after he left, he met someone who looked upset.

In the corridor on the first floor underground, in the flickering candlelight, Malfoy stopped in front of Charles with a sneer on his face. Crabbe and Goyle laughed maliciously, still clenching their fists.

Malfoy said to Charles fiercely: "There are three of us here now, and you are the only one. If you beg for mercy now, I will consider letting you go."

Charles laughed all of a sudden. This scene reminded him of the two little brats who had said harsh things to him at a late-night snack stall in his previous life while trying to grab the last empty table for more than 20 people eating roast duck noodles at the other five tables.

All the workers gathered around, and some said they were taken to the construction site to drive piles. One of them was so frightened that he cried on the spot.

"Three people?" Charles shook his head and said, "What I saw was not three people, but one person, one person and another person."

Malfoy was a little dizzy from being surrounded by him. He frowned and asked, "What's the difference?"

Charles smiled and asked him: "Malfoy, do you have any friends?"

Malfoy said with disdain: "Crabbe and Goyle are my friends."

Charles smiled and shook his head, looking at Malfoy with pity, which made him very uncomfortable.

"You have never had friends." Charles said firmly, "Because you don't have friends around you, you don't know when you are friends, so you misunderstand your followers as friends."

"Malfoy, will you tell them when you have any worries? Will you quietly tell them which girl you secretly like? When one of them looks sad, will you take the initiative to ask why and help them solve it? You

If you encounter something interesting, will you share it with the two of them?"

"Crabbe, Goyle, do you really consider Malfoy a friend? Do you share happy things with Malfoy? Are you willing to help him, and do you have any hesitation or disgust in your heart?

?If you heard that he was fighting with senior students, would you help him without even thinking?"

"Malfoy, I can hear how you treat Crabbe and Goyle in Gryffindor. Every day, you not only scold them but also brag in front of them. When you finish bragging, they will be cold-faced by you if they don't flatter you in time."

Treat each other badly and even curse them."

"Not to mention friends, do you regard them as equals, equal Slytherin classmates? In your eyes, the only difference between them and house elves is their skin color and size."

"Malfoy, if one day you fall into the water and are about to die, but there are piranhas in the water, and if you go to save you, the piranhas will eat your toes, do you think Crabbe and Goyle will go into the water to save you at this time?"<

After Charles finished speaking, he looked at Malfoy sympathetically. The child was quite pitiful, especially after he turned to look at Crabbe and Goyle, who turned away and did not dare to look at him, it became even more pitiful.
Like them, many poor people who have never experienced friendship regard their followers as friends, and at the same time treat other people's friends as followers. They think that mutual help between friends means licking each other's feet. It can be said that there is something wrong in the eyes.

Charles ignored them, left the basement level, and went to Professor Quirrell to continue today's work on sorting out the magic potions.

"Did you encounter something that made you angry just now?" Voldemort's ability to read people's emotions was actually quite good.

"Nothing." Charles shook his head, "I just met Peeves."

Today Voldemort is no longer pacing around, but sitting behind his desk reading a book.

Charles glanced at the cover of the book curiously, and suddenly felt like he was struck by thunder.

"Professor Quirrell." He asked curiously, "What is the content of "Breaking with the Female Ghost"?"

Voldemort replied: "It's Gilderoy Lockhart's biography. It mentions many very effective ways to deal with danger."

Now Charles was shocked. He had seen Gilderoy Lockhart's book in a bookstore. The cover was particularly exquisite and beautiful, but he didn't buy it because the author was a liar. He didn't expect that the Dark Lord would actually use it.

But I think it is correct. The author of the book is fake, but the experiences of the victims in it are absolutely true, but they have undergone a little artistic processing.

"Smith," Voldemort said suddenly, "you will make a mistake next month too."

"Ah?!" Charles was stunned, "I'm a good student!"

Voldemort ignored him and said to himself: "I need someone to sort out the methods for dealing with various dangers in the book. You can start this work after you sort out the curses."

A month later, Charles was punished with another month of confinement for entering the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom with his left foot first the day after the confinement ended.

Charles didn't know what was going to happen next. He thought of something and asked Voldemort: "Professor, do you know how to use the Disillusionment Curse and the Silencing Curse?"

Voldemort asked him somewhat unexpectedly: "Do you want to learn?"

Charles nodded and used the Illusion Curse to make himself invisible and the Silencer Curse to eliminate the sound of footsteps. With the combination of the two, he could quietly move behind the enemy and cast whatever spell he wanted on the enemy's waist.

Voldemort thought he just wanted to avoid being caught by Filch when he went out at night. Without thinking much, he picked up the wand and said: "These two spells are very simple. This is how the Disguise Charm works..."

Under his spell, a pile of homework from an unknown age on the desktop disappeared.

Charles looked carefully and immediately took out his wand and tried it on the book on his desk. The result was a 75% transparency effect.

Voldemort was a little surprised. Did this guy learn spells so quickly?

Charles didn't sort out many curses that night. He barely mastered the Disguise Charm and the Silencer Charm, and he will be able to go back by then.

Before leaving, he suddenly remembered something: "Professor Quirrell, I may not be able to come on Saturday and Sunday nights. I have to go to the centaurs."

Voldemort said nonchalantly: "Then you take all these away. I remember you have a bag, and you can take your own time to do it over there."

Charles smiled and thanked him, and then put the book and table in his bag and took them away.

After Charles left, Voldemort laughed.

In his opinion, Charles did not dare to read the books in the restricted area when he was around, but he would definitely flip through them curiously when no one was supervising them.

As long as Charles becomes interested in the curses in the book, his goal will be achieved.

Charles thought about it in the bathtub of the Room of Requirement and Bathroom. Voldemort must be so talkative that he was always trying to be courteous for nothing, committing adultery or stealing. There must be some conspiracy behind it.

But this problem is not urgent. The top priority now is to master the second magic spell that the old man gave to the centaurs. That Eastern magic spell is very cool to use.
