Chapter 83 Exercise 30 hours a day

The next night after receiving the letter, Charles sorted out some six years of potion preparation procedures in Snape's office, and went to the kitchen to prepare supper for the training team members of the Potions Championship. After finishing his work, he planned to go back.

Go to the common room and start replying.

But his plan failed.

The Gryffindor common room was very lively tonight. Almost all the students were gathered around a big table, and there were endless shouts, exclamations and cheers.

Eleanor has been busy with training camps recently, and the specific work of developing simulated Quidditch has been left to Percy.

Percy has strong organizational skills and finally brought this project to the public beta stage.

Tonight, simulated Quidditch starts its first open beta, open to everyone, even Professor McGonagall is participating.

Professor McGonagall and several students stood at one end of the simulated stadium, holding up their wands and controlling the movements of the player puppets by moving the tip of the wand, just like using a handle.

She looked very excited and her face was a little red.

But when Percy saw Charles coming back, he told the professor, and she immediately gave up her seat to others and left the common room with Charles.

On the way, Professor McGonagall still had more to say: "I haven't had so much fun in a long time. I thought I would never be able to play Quidditch again. It seems that my eyes are still very sharp, and my reflexes are no worse than those of you young people."

Charles smiled and replied: "If I had known, I wouldn't have come back so early."

Professor McGonagall made a serious expression, shook her head and said, "That won't work. If the principal waits too long, he will deduct my salary and I will have no money to eat."

Charles could tell that she was joking, so he smiled and said: "That's okay, you can come... Oops."

Before he finished speaking, Charles covered his head, just like Hermione had been stabbed by his hand.

Professor McGonagall knew what he wanted to say, so he interrupted and changed the subject: "You know, Dumbledore, Sprout, Flitwick, Snape, Quirrell and I all think you are a very talented child.

, everyone is willing to provide you with some additional help, and the Ministry of Magic has approved it."

Charles looked very embarrassed, but he was thinking, why is Voldemort joining in the fun?

Professor McGonagall kept saying encouraging words all the way until she arrived at Dumbledore's office.

Dumbledore has prepared new refreshments in the office, the latest upgraded version of the cockroach pile: the flying cockroach pile.

Charles tried hard not to let himself look at the cockroaches flying above the plate. The new rehabilitation solution was one thing, but the new rehabilitation solution with the taste of popping candy was another matter.

He looked at the long box placed in front of the principal and looked curious.

Dumbledore asked Charles and Professor McGonagall to sit down across the desk, and the teacup and teapot flew over to pour the tea.

"Charles," the principal said with a smile, "I won't say more about praise. Now you have too many things to learn, and I think your time is very short."

It's just that others think that Charles is new to magic and is curious about magic. In addition, he has talent and some achievements, so he is very diligent and studious.

However, only he himself understands that first of all, he wants to watch the excitement but is afraid of death, and then he is good at food and loves to play, so he works overtime to learn all kinds of knowledge and improve himself.

Dumbledore pushed the long box in front of him into the middle of Charles and said: "This little thing can solve your problem of lack of time."

Then his face became extremely serious: "However, if it is used improperly, it will also bring great danger. Charles, I need you to promise me to use it with caution and not tell other people."

Charles immediately said very solemnly: "Professor Dumbledore, I promise you, I will use it properly and will not tell anyone else."

"Hmm... Do you want to use that swearing magic?"

Dumbledore smiled and shook his head. Although this thing is precious, it is under the management of the Ministry of Magic and is different from the Sorcerer's Stone.

The long box was opened, and inside was a golden necklace with an hourglass on the pendant.

Although Charles was mentally prepared, he was still a little dazed when he actually saw it, as if the opportunity to uncover the mystery of the extinction of the dinosaurs was right in front of him.

Dumbledore said to him: "This is a time turner that allows you to go back to a period of time."

Charles's heart suddenly skipped a beat, and this "period of time" gave him a bad premonition.

Dumbledore continued to talk about the dangers of time travel, and wizards have done things like the grandfather paradox.

After listening, Charles looked curious and asked: "Professor, have you ever used it?"

He was a little worried. If Lao Deng used the time turner to go back to the past, Hydra and Lan Meng would not be able to hide it.

However, Dumbledore looked sad for half a second, and then said: "It's the end now and cannot be changed."

He emphasized the word "now" and Charles understood what he meant.

Professor McGonagall on the side asked: "Charles, do you want to go back in time and do anything?"

Charles smiled bitterly and said: "I want to see who threw me into the trash can, go over and give me a kick."

Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall were stunned for a moment, remembering that Jack had picked him out of the trash can.

"It's a pity." Dumbledore shook his head, "The time turner can only allow people to go back four weeks at most."

"Ah?!" Charles was startled, "Really?"

At this moment Fox flew in from the window, holding a piece of parchment in his mouth, and threw it in front of Charles.

Charles opened the scroll and saw only "real" written on it. It looked like the handwriting was his own.

Moreover, this scroll of paper still burns after being read, turning into ashes in the blink of an eye.

Charles sighed and thought about catching some extinct animals and selling them to the zoo.

Dumbledore said: "The time turner is very sophisticated, and there is a certain amount of luck involved in making it. There are not many in the Ministry of Magic."

"It used to allow people to go back to the distant past, but it was found that they were all broken ten years ago. At most, they can only go back to a year ago, and this time, at most, they can go back to four weeks ago."

"But we can't know where they are broken, so we can't fix them. We can only use them with caution. The Ministry of Magic's advice is to go back to 5 hours a day."

Charles expressed his understanding of this. There are many devices that don’t know why they work. If there is a problem and you need to repair it, the more you repair it, the more problems you may have. So as long as it doesn’t work, don’t bother with it.

He began to think about the use of the time converter. Five extra hours a day is not enough, because people need to rest in addition to studying, so the allocated time is not enough.

It doesn’t matter if you use it for too long at one time. If you use it fully every day, you will grow a year older in two weeks.

After some calculations, Charles decided to allow himself to study and exercise for 30 hours in one day. Plus the rest time, the time he spent would not be much longer than others.

Dumbledore approved his plan and gave him an empty professor's dormitory in the castle so that he could study by himself there to avoid having two Charless appear in front of others at the same time.
