Chapter 23: Green God

"Is there anyone? Is anyone taking care of it?"

Leonard held the map fragments and wandered around the principal's office, trying to meet one or two patrolling employees.

"Eh? What's going on?"

Before taking two steps, Leonard suddenly felt his eyes blur, and then the scenery around him became completely different. The only thing that remained unchanged was the principal's office behind him.

"Where is this?"

Leonard looked around. This seemed to be the corridor of a hotel. There were rooms with house numbers on both sides of the corridor. The director's room that he just came out of was at the end of the corridor.

"This...is this an aquarium?"

After much deliberation, the only possibility was an aquarium.

Before he had time to think about it, Leonard raised his head and suddenly found an employee in red walking towards him.

"Hey, that employee in red! My light bulb is broken!"

Leonard waved to the employee in red.

"Hey, Leonard, long time no see."

The employee in red raised his head and stared at Leonard with three eyes.

"Wang, Wang Jin?"

After Leonard saw the employee's face clearly, he hurriedly took three steps in front of Wang Jin and held his face in his hands.

"You, how come you have three eyes?"

Looking at the extra eyes on Wang Jin's cheek, Leonard collapsed a little.

That eye had no pupils, only a gray-blue mist, which was turning restlessly at the moment.

This good brother was fine a few hours ago, why did he mutate after not seeing him for a while?

"Hey, don't worry, it's okay."

Wang Jin waved his hand and continued.

"The pollution has deepened, but it's not 'it' that did it."

The mental pollution caused by facing the alien gods far exceeded the influence of "it", and Wang Jin was polluted by the man in purple.

Fortunately, what the man in purple wants is Wang Jin who is awake, so he will not interfere with Wang Jin's consciousness through pollution, and the extra eye is not dangerous.

Thanks to the man in purple, Wang Jin found that he was fine now even if he was watched by the Green God. Maybe it was because he had been exposed to stronger pollution?

Without stopping, Wang Jin found an employee in red and borrowed his uniform after a cordial exchange.

"Come on, I'll change a light bulb for you."

After patting Leonard on the shoulder, Wang Jin casually took out gauze and covered the extra eyes.

"Wait a minute, you just said it wasn't 'it'. Are there other weird stories here?"

Leonard was surprisingly sharp. He stopped Wang Jin and asked.

"Yes, but he ran away after being slapped in the face by me."

Wang Jin thought for a moment and nodded.

"...Just blow it."

Leonard curled his lips.

"Ha ha ha ha."

Wang Jin smiled and said nothing more.

——

Half past twelve in the morning.

The entrance of Dajiang Zoo.

It was already late at night, but the place was packed with people.

Several cordons have sealed off the Dajiang City Zoo tightly, but the zoo's ghost story has no fixed location, so the effect of this is not too great.

"Damn it! Damn it! Why can't you get in?"

Zhao Guangming was wearing a strange device, wandering quickly at the entrance of the zoo, and then kicked the trash can at the door hard.

"This is his first mission! Are you going to let him go to such a dangerous place?"

Zhao Guangming's eyes were red with anxiety, and he kept yelling at Hu Xiaobei, like a wounded beast.

"Who would have thought that such an ordinary zoo would have two alien gods! Are you anxious and I am not anxious? What's the use of being anxious!"

Hu Xiaobei held the equipment and kept debugging it, his voice trembling.

"Calm down everyone, Team A, go inside the zoo and find the entrance."

"Team B, try to use 'Lanruo Temple' to forcefully open the passage."

"Team C, go with the minister to try your luck at other zoos."

Bai He held the walkie-talkie and continued to arrange the scene, with a very anxious expression on his face.

But she wasn't worried about Wang Jin. To her, he was just a newcomer that the boss was interested in.

"This is the first time in history that two alien gods have arrived at the same time. The chance of Wang Jin's survival is slim."

Bai He said softly.

"Shut your fucking mouth! I don't have time to beat you up now!"

Zhao Guangming glared at Bai He fiercely, but did not stop.

"No matter how slim the hope is, I will fish that kid out. I don't want to experience something like that again."

Boom, it's raining.

The rain hit him, and Zhao Guangming seemed to have returned to that bloody night.

"Old Zhao, is he... okay?"

Zhang Yi walked out of the car and held an umbrella for Hu Xiaobei.

He hasn't been in the company as long as Hu Xiaobei, so he doesn't know many things.

Hu Xiaobei did not respond to Zhang Yi's words, but looked at Zhao Guangming, who was wandering and growling like a trapped animal, and murmured.

"Wang Jin...you must come back alive."

——

"Come on, Lao Lei, let's go on patrol with me?"

Wang Jin screwed in the new light bulb and hooked his fingers at Leonard.

"Fuck you, my surname is not Lei."

Leonard curled his lips and continued.

"Besides, I, the principal, have a mission."

Leonard pointed to the documents on the table.

[The office must keep the lights on before 1:15~6:00 am, even if there is no one around.]

"Hey, turning on the lights at this time is not a good thing."

As Wang Jin spoke, he took out a map from his pocket. The map looked slightly different from that of other employees.

"I will tell you the truth here first, and then you will consider whether to follow me or not."

As Wang Jin spoke, he took out the ghost blowing lamp and threw it to Leonard.

"You are strong and can last a long time."

Leonard smiled naively and lit the ghost blowing lamp.

"The first thing is 'it' identity."

Wang Jin touched the third eye on his cheek.

"Green God, have you heard of it?"

"I know, greengod."

"The Green God has no human followers. Its servant race is a rabbit-shaped creature called the Son of the Green God. These creatures howl and jump around their main god all day long, looking for sacrifices for the Green God."

Leonard talks eloquently and is surprisingly knowledgeable in this area.

"An unusual trait of the Green God is that it infects vegetables grown in nearby fields, and anyone who eats these vegetables will slowly transform into a disgusting, rabbit-like creature known as "

"Son of the Green God", which uses this method to expand its terrifying cult."

"I was just suspicious at first, but after you said that, I realized that this might really be an old ruler."

"Huh? Why are you looking at me like that?"

Leonard looked at the stunned Wang Jin and felt a little puzzled.

"No, are all the people in your paranormal research institute this curled up?"

"Hi, personal hobby."

Leonard smiled and scratched his head.

"The Green God's ability mainly involves cognitive pollution through food, which corresponds to rabbit blood and goat meat."

Wang Jin took over the conversation.

"And the zoo ghost story itself seems to be harmless, but it just happens to be occupied by this green god."

"So it's the will of the zoo itself to try to get staff and visitors to escape."

"get away?"

Leonard repeated subconsciously.
