Chapter 4: Strange Talk Containment Center

Ping An Building is located in an inconspicuous corner of the suburbs of Dajiang City. There are less than twenty permanent employees in the company. It is said to be a building, but including the two-story underground garage, it has only ten floors in total.

"Who did you ask to take him for induction?"

In the office on the second basement floor of Ping An Building, Zhao Guangming asked, wrapped in a blanket.

"A civil servant I've never seen before, his surname is Sun."

Zhang Yi looked at the shivering Zhao Guangming with contemptuous eyes.

"Don't just watch, get your partner a glass of hot water!"

"I don't have a partner like you."

Zhang Mian said expressionlessly, but he still poured two cups of hot water for himself and Zhao Guangming.

"As expected, you did unnecessary things again."

Zhang handed Zhao Guangming a handful of water, but there was no emotion in his tone.

"Ahaha, there's no other way, I can't help it."

Zhao Guangming smiled bitterly, and then held the paper cup in his hand.

"how is he?"

Zhang Yi took a sip of hot water and asked casually.

"It's pretty good. It can even be said to be excellent. His observation and fighting skills are above ordinary people. His inspiration is not low. He has his own principles. He is quite optimistic. He is probably very popular with girls."

Zhao Guangming seemed to hesitate for a moment, and then spoke again after a short silence, with an unprecedented serious expression on his face.

"Also, it seems that he blew out the flame of the ghost's lamp."

"How is that possible! Are you serious?"

The usually calm man with glasses showed a rare expression of extreme panic, and his facial features were even slightly deformed.

"No, this must be reported to the senior management!"

The man with glasses said and was about to leave the house.

"Zhang Yi! Listen to me!"

Zhao Guangming grabbed the man with glasses. The man with glasses struggled several times but couldn't break free, so he had to sit down.

"That kid said he has an affinity for ghost stories. I guess he hasn't realized that it's actually a more terrifying ability."

"If you report it now, once it attracts the attention of the higher-ups, that kid might be stimulated, and things will get serious by then. Do you understand?"

"I, I understand."

Zhang Yi seemed to have calmed down, but the expression on his face still did not return to calm.

"Then what do we do now?"

"Only you and I know about this matter. For the time being, we can only pay close attention to him."

Zhao Guangming lost his usual decadent look, and his aura suddenly became fierce, like a machete unsheathed.

"good."

Zhang Yi looked at the man in front of him and suddenly felt a little strange. He could only nod his head blankly, not realizing that the place where he was held by Zhao Guangming was already covered in blue.

...

"I didn't expect the real Ping An Company to be so deep underground."

Wang Jin followed the employee designated by Zhang Yi and got into the elevator and went all the way down. It took about five or six minutes and it still didn't stop.

"Yes, but Ping An Company is just an empty shell. Our real name is the Kaitan Containment Center."

The person leading the way was a little girl, not tall, wearing black-rimmed glasses and a braided braid.

"My surname is Hu, and we will be colleagues from now on."

The little girl introduced herself a little shyly.

"Hu? Why do I remember Zhang Yi said your surname is Zhao?"

"Huh? The surname I just mentioned was Zhao."

The little girl turned her head and squinted her eyes, showing a shy smile to Wang Jin. When she opened her eyes again, her pupils suddenly turned into vertical green pupils.

"Ah, I remembered wrongly, it should be Sun."

Wang Jin turned his eyes away unnaturally, then coughed dryly and pointed at the fluffy white tail sticking out from under the little girl's professional skirt.

"Besides, the fox's tail is exposed."

"Eh? Eh! Is that so? I'm not proficient in the art of transformation. It's really embarrassing!"

The little girl seemed to be giving up on herself and stamped her feet. Then two fluffy white ears appeared on her head, and her figure became a bit taller.

"My name is Hu Xiaobei, and I am the weirdo who is being held here. Aren't you afraid when you see me? I will eat you."

Hu Xiaobei, whose appearance changed, grinned, revealing two small tiger teeth.

"Ahem, I'm not very scared, but there is one thing that I am very concerned about."

Wang Jin scratched his head, his expression suddenly became a little strange.

"Huh? What?"

Hu Xiaobei immediately became interested in the human being in front of him. When other humans saw her, some begged for mercy and some were frightened. This was the first time that she saw such a nonchalant person like Wang Jin.

"Fox monsters are really cute."

"What are you talking about! Why do you call others cute without permission!"

Hu Xiaobei's face suddenly turned red. She first pulled the glasses off her face, and then slapped Wang Jin on the face with her backhand.

"Um?"

Wang Jin was still thinking casually when he was suddenly slapped. Although the strength was not strong, it still left a small red mark on Wang Jin's face.

"Ah, I'm sorry, I was careless."

Although he didn't know why he was suddenly beaten, Wang Jin decisively apologized.

"You... I'm a weirdo! I'm different from you humans!"

Hu Xiaobei's face turned even redder. She muttered a few words in a panic, then lowered her head and stopped talking.

The atmosphere in the small space of the elevator suddenly became a little strange. Neither of them spoke anymore. For a while, only the sound of the elevator running came.

"Ding!"

The moment the elevator door opened, Hu Xiaobei seemed to feel that his legs were running too slowly, so he turned into a snow-white little fox and ran out of the elevator as if he was running away.

"This fox is so young. Is he underage? Does this count as child labor like me?"

His thoughts flew away inexplicably, Wang Jin walked out of the elevator, looked around, and then stood there blankly.

“Is this company hollowing out entire suburbs?”

The entire underground building has at least ten floors, and the area is unknown. The various areas are divided by long corridors, but the area in front of them is surprisingly large. No one knows how they did it.

Documents are everywhere, many people are busy sorting things out, and a large number of fluorescent lamps illuminate the place extremely brightly.

Before Wang Jin could take a closer look, someone else came up to him immediately.

"New here? This is the Human Resources Department. My sister will help you familiarize yourself with the position."

What greeted him was a woman, mature and beautiful, wearing a black professional skirt that perfectly outlined her figure.

"Not human."

Wang Jin could tell who the woman was at the first glance, and based on his cursory observation, there were quite a few such special "employees".

"Little handsome boy, which department are you in?"

The woman walked over swaying, her red lips parted lightly and asked.

"He must be a new civil servant. He looks like a freshly graduated college student. He looks so poor."

Before Wang Jin could answer, a sharp man's voice rang out.

"Miss Bai, don't pay attention to him. I have a logistics department report for you to see."

"We won't be able to stay in this civil service position for long, so don't bother with him."

Wang Jin turned around and saw that the person speaking was a thin and wretched man. There seemed to be something wrong with his eyes. He couldn't stop glancing at the woman while speaking.

"Huh? Isn't this a standard Shuangwen slap-in-the-face plot?"

Wang Jin looked at the thin man who kept rolling his eyes and felt a little funny in his heart, but what the man said just now made him a little concerned.

"The civil service will not be long? What do you mean?"

Wang Jin ignored the man and asked the woman. Rather than pretending, he wanted to find out what the "Ghost Story Containment Company" was.
