Chapter 52 Welcoming the bride

Every dwarf present joined in the carnival, and they feasted from early morning to sunset.

Thorgrin - The Hater of Resentment burst into tears. He was sincerely happy for his sons' achievements and the return of the Mother Goddess. It seemed that the heavy hatred that weighed on him had loosened a little.

Early the next morning, Snorri woke up from a hangover. He couldn't remember how many glasses of beer he drank and how many times he said "May the ancestor goddess bless you!"

Yesterday, no matter young or old, there were enough dwarves to toast him and get blessings from him, lining up from the gate of the outpost all the way to the gate of Shanhu Castle.

After washing, Snorri decided to go to Krag the Harsh first. He wanted to know whether witnessing divine grace could bring any changes to the most powerful rune master.

After being told that Master Kragg had returned to Karaz-a-Kharak with his Anvil Guard the night before, Snorri shook his head and headed to the High King's chambers.

"You're here. You drank a lot yesterday!" Thorgreen spoke while sitting on the throne of power. Snorri nodded and found a seat to sit down.

"I thought about it last night. From now on, we will have to settle things separately. I will call you son at home, but when I go out, I have to call you Master Snorri, the goddess's choice, otherwise it will appear disrespectful!" Thor Green

What a rare joke.

"What's the matter with you coming to see me? I'm going back to the Eternal Peak. There's been quite a lot going on lately." After a brief chat, Thorgreen got straight to the point.

"I want to organize an expedition!" Snorri said, and he decided to take the first step of the plan to recover the lost artifact.

After tasting the benefits from the Ring of Iron Chisels, he understood that at this stage, collecting legendary equipment was the fastest way to increase his strength.

Although there are many of these treasures, Thorgrim, some are bound to the Supreme Throne, such as the Throne of Power, the Book of Great Hatred, the Ax of Grimnir and the Dragon Crown.

Some are inherited by the clan and will basically fall into the hands of the eldest brother Gnom.

In view of these low hopes, Snorri set his sights on the eight artifacts in the artifact storage system. Their power is by no means inferior to the above-mentioned ones, and there is a high probability that they are still unowned.

What's more, he still doesn't have the symbol of Rune Master - the Anvil of Doom! He doesn't have a sedan chair to sit in when he goes out, so he's sorry for the emblem on his chest.

"I probably understand, but you don't have to worry yet." Thorgreen nodded and said:

"There is something big that needs you to do right now. If you are lucky, you might be able to get your anvil too!"

"What's the big deal?" Snorri asked doubtfully.

"You don't know yet? It seems that Gnom's mouth is quite strict! But yes, if he publicizes the situation of our race, it will be shameful!" Thor Green was in a good mood, and his laughter made people laugh.

Snorri was confused.

"Brother? What's wrong with him? Didn't you just capture a territory? Do you have other uses for him?" Snorri interrupted his father's laughter.

"Gnom is getting married! I'm going to have a grandson soon!" Sol Green looked proud.

"There is such a thing!?" Snorri looked shocked, but recalling his elder brother's performance along the way, he also had an idea in his mind. No wonder Gnom has been running back so frequently during this time!

"Which girl is she from?" Thinking that his eldest brother would be hugging an equally stocky female dwarf, Snorri suddenly felt some goosebumps on his back.

"Karak - the daughter of Lord Granite Hand of Breeze Castle. She came to Eternal Peak to learn medicine ten years ago." Thorgreen answered.

The tradition of dwarven medical professions can be traced back to the mother goddess Valaya. The medical category includes various types of physicians, herbalists, physicians and surgeons, and pharmacists.

Different types of doctors have their own medical rooms in a fortress. They are very professional and like to brag about their medical skills.

There are also human rulers who go to dwarf fortresses to hire dwarf surgeons to perform surgeries. Dwarf doctors will travel to different gathering places from time to time and follow the army to the battlefield. Generally, those who stay in one place for a long time are pharmacists and herbalists.
"That girl Pamela is a mellow beauty! Your eldest brother often dueled with other young men to win her favor! During that time, you were busy learning rune magic and didn't pay much attention to it."

It can be seen that Thorgreen is very satisfied with this future daughter-in-law.

Snorri understood the reason. The male-to-female ratio of dwarves was two to one. For the royal family, almost every woman of marriage age received special attention. After all, it would be very embarrassing for the eldest son to not marry a well-matched wife.

As far as Snorri himself is concerned, he is the third son in the family, and he doesn't like socializing very much. Almost every time he has a passive social interaction, young and middle-aged dwarves come to him to inquire about his second sister Nina's preferences.

Snorri recalled that a large proportion of his small treasury was filled with information provided by the suitors of his second sister! Young talents who are qualified to pursue the daughter of the High King are very generous.

"Okay, may the ancestor goddess bless her!" Snorri blurted out this sentence after he had said it smoothly the day before.

"But what does this have to do with me? Being the best man?" he asked next.

"You don't care about the outside world, you are no different from a stupid giant!" Thorgreen cursed with a smile.

"You are an adult too. In a few years, when your sister gets married, it will be your turn! It's time to worry." Sol Green started to mutter like every father.

"You have been a rune master for several days, why hasn't anyone come to me to mention these things? With your current status, you are definitely not worthy of being a noblewoman from the major clans!

I have to find a way to find a princess for you in the mountain castle. Could it be that they thought it was inconvenient for me to be the High King, so they contacted Sonia? I have to ask her when I go back..."

Seeing Thorgreen going further and further, Snorri quickly stopped him.

"Let's talk about my mission, father. I swore an oath in front of the ancestor goddess. I will recover the lost mountain fortress, retrieve the lost artifact, and restore the glory of the mountain kingdom!" Snorri carried out the mother's mother.

God Varaya.

"Does this conflict with marriage..." Thorgreen was still unwilling to give up, and he muttered a few more words before getting to the point.

"As Genom's only biological brother, you have to go to the wedding for him!"

"Welcoming the bride?" Snorri repeated, "Where to go? The doctors' guild hall?"

"No, Karak - Breeze Castle! Your sister-in-law is the daughter of the lord of a city. She has to marry from her own family. She just returned with the caravan a few days ago!"

"Breeze Castle?" Snorri recalled quickly, "In the Gray Mountains, close to the Knight Kingdom of Bretonnia?" Snorri said uncertainly.

Thanks to 123456 for his monthly ticket and the reward for enoki mushrooms and cucumbers.

It's rare for an update to break out, thank you for your enthusiasm from book friends. The protagonist is about to enter a new chapter, and I am going back to school myself. The normal updates will be maintained in the future, but there may be fewer updates, and I owe a lot to scientific research.

This chapter has been completed!
