Chapter 59 Rune Colossus

President Bullock led Snorri into his office with a mysterious look on his face.

"What do you want to show me? It won't be your office supplies, right?" Snorri looked at his high-tech office and spoke.

There are some weird gadgets here, from water dispensers to coffee grinders to massage seats. It can be seen that President Bullock has communicated with the human caravans a lot.

"Don't worry!" Bullock said as he inserted the key and opened the door of the safe fixed on the wall.

Snooker was surprised to find that it was not a treasure of gold or silver or something like a dwarf tree, but a passage.

This passage dug directly from the mountain is not long. At the end of it is a secret door. Bullock took out the keychain and opened the door while explaining:

"This is where our guild conducts cutting-edge research and development. In order to avoid possible dangers and to ensure confidentiality, the strongest security mechanism is needed here."

After Bullock inserted the key, a code disk popped up on the door. "Please step out of the way!" Snorri turned around as he was told.

All I could hear was Brock's "creak" movement, and finally, with a "pop" sound, the door popped open.

For a moment, Snorri's eyes were glazed over. This hall was much larger than the one he just passed, especially because the dome was raised very high.

This is to accommodate two giants who can be said to stand tall on the sky. Their wrists are not human hands, but directly equipped with drills and axes.

"Rune Colossus!?" Snorri blurted out.

"You are really well-informed!" Bullock was also a little surprised, and then he showed a suddenly enlightened expression. "Yes, you are from the Eternal Peak. This rune colossus exists in only three places in the entire mountain kingdom."
Bullock took a sip of coffee and continued: "First of all, it's our place, Jufba, the city of engineers, then it's the capital of the Mountain Kingdom - Karaz Al-Karak, and finally..."

"Karak-Eight Peaks Mountain?" Snorri asked. "Did the Mother Goddess tell you? Yes, the Queen of the Silver Abyss, was once the most prosperous city-state in the entire Mountain Kingdom, and was also where the Mother Goddess's temple was located.

"Can these two things be moved now?" Snorri asked the question he was most concerned about.

"They are the crystallization of the highest level of rune magic and engineering technology in the Golden Age!" Block said, hearing this Snorri sighed.

"Then everything is normal but it cannot be driven or is it damaged beyond repair?" Snorri heard the hidden meaning of Bullock's words.

"Well, our guild has overcome the difficulties in engineering technology with the efforts of several generations, but when it comes to runes..." Brock hesitated.

"I understand, then I guess the Colossi we have in Karaz-a-Karak have the same problem?"

Snorri asked directly, if they can still work normally, there is no reason why his father should not use them when settling hatred.

"Yes, I heard that your master, Master Krag the Harsh, once formed an expeditionary army to retrieve the rune knowledge that powered the Colossus."

Bullock said with some uncertainty. "He and his team broke into a side hall of Black Rock Castle through a secret passage. According to the comments of the tribesmen who were traveling with him, there should be some gains from that exploration."

Bullock expressed his guess, and then asked Snorri:

"As Master Krag's only disciple in recent years, do you know anything about how to repair the runes on the colossus?"

"This is probably the main reason why he led me into this secret room! Even if the chance is slim, Brock Damien, a man who is crazy about technology, is still willing to make some attempts." Snorri thought to himself.

"No, the Dekazkrad clan I am from has always had a bad relationship with Krag. He has never told me this. But don't worry, I am also qualified to learn how to repair them." Snorri said sincerely.

’s answer.

"Alas!" Even though he had expected it, Bullock couldn't help but sigh.

"As far as I know, there are many other races that have similar giant structures. Can't we get some inspiration from those guys?" Snorri thought for a while and asked.

"The greenskins have the Furry Colossus, the vampire pirates have the Necromancer Colossus, and there are even more constructs from Nehekhara in the south! What about the War Sphinx, the Necromancer Sphinx, the Bone Giant, and the Holy Titan?

Really?" Snorri gave many examples.

"Valaya!" Bullock showed a shocked expression. "Your erudition puts our ancestors to shame! I have to write down what you said!" As he said that, he took out his notebook and recorded it.<

"Well, but, the respected goddess's choice." Bullock muttered as he wrote. "The things you just mentioned are of little reference value. They are almost all driven by the wind of magic. These are the characteristics of our dwarves.

There’s no way to imitate it.”

"I once had the honor to study a Gomao Colossus that was destroyed by the tribesmen. It was essentially a pile of stones, and the power of waaagh condensed by a large pile of green skin gave it life."

"As for the Sphinx, that big stone cat, I've seen one too. I'm not sure which of the two you mentioned it is." Bullock took a puff of his cigarette.

"There once was an overestimating Tomb King who wanted to take back some of his treasures from us. Is he worthy? The Son of the Mountain crushed him and the skeletons under his command, and the Sphinx under him also

They were smashed to pieces by us."

Bullock said excitedly and began to wave his prosthetic limb again. Snorri stepped aside and took two steps. He did not want to test the power of this iron hand.

"After the tomb technicians carved and molded that thing, it relied on the Lich Priests of the Funeral Sect to use their unique magic to bind the soul of the deceased to it as the driving force. We do not have such technology, and we will never desecrate it.

Soul!"

"That's natural!" Snorri nodded in agreement.

"Although I haven't seen the real thing, I think the Holy Titan and the Bone Giant are similar in nature. As for the Necromancer Colossus, as soon as you hear the name, you know that it is the product of the power of blasphemy, so don't mention it!"

Listening to the sources of inspiration he proposed being rejected one by one by President Bullock, Snorri didn't feel angry at all. After all, he didn't have the slightest understanding of the Rune Colossus.

"Then do you have any idea about the restoration of the Colossus?" Snorri asked.

"Chenian, the Cathay Empire in the east of the mainland!"

"What? Cathay?" Snooker showed a shocked expression when he heard this word. Cathay has absorbed many elements from ancient China in its setting. As a former Chinese, Snooker has full understanding of the Cathay Empire.
