Chapter Two: Treatment

Waiting, staring, waiting, Li Xiu was woken up by a knock on the door. He walked out of the bedroom in confusion and opened a door panel.

"Li Langzhong, this is the herbal medicine of our Xishan Village. The sun is shining three times. Why hasn't Li Langzhong opened the door for business?" An old man asked outside the door with a basket of medicine on his back.

"Maybe I slept a little late yesterday. Uncle Wang, come in and have a cup of tea to quench your thirst!" Li Xiu let the old man into the drug store, and he went outside to remove the door panels one by one. It was opened early today.

When Mr. Wang walked in and saw the messy drug store, he couldn't help but shake his head and sighed: "Oh! Brother Li should find a wife!"

Li Xiu went into the inner room and took out a pot of cold tea from last night and poured a full bowl for Mr. Wang.

How can country people drink tea? The old man drank it all in two or three sips, chewing the soaked tea leaves in his mouth.

Li Xiu poured another bowl and went to check the herbs.

On the other hand, Mr. Wang also started talking about how he was in danger when he was in the mountains when he was young, and how he married a wife and had children. At the end, he introduced several unmarried girls in his village to Li Xiu, and he talked more and more enthusiastically.

"Uncle Wang, I am alone, and the whole family is not hungry after eating! How comfortable!" Li Xiu interrupted the old man's nagging with perfunctory excuses.

He went to the counter and took a dozen copper coins and placed them at the table where Old Man Wang was drinking tea.

"Brother Li is still so calculating. Next time I will sell the hemp grass to Furentang!" Old man Wang weighed a dozen copper coins and was not satisfied.

"Uncle Wang, I am the only one collecting Gastrodia elata in the entire Qingzhou City. I don't believe you when you say that!" Li Xiu said with a smile.

Seeing that Old Man Wang couldn't get any more copper coins, he had no choice but to smile bitterly and leave the drug store carrying the empty basket.

Li Xiu threw the gastrodia grass behind the counter, tidied up the messy medicine shop, sat on the recliner behind the counter, and fell asleep leisurely.

There were not many people who came in for consultation during the whole day, but there were a few vendors who were prescribing medicines and came to his Chuncaotang.

The sun was setting in the west and Li Xiu yawned. He stood up and stretched his waist.

After closing the door and boarding up, Li Xiu took a few copper coins and walked to the wonton stall across the street.

The number of pedestrians on the street gradually increased, the city gates were closed, and the suspension bridge was raised. It was like the evening rush hour in the previous life, and the traders and footmen returning from outside the city had to come back before the city gates closed.

The night market across the street is booming at that time, and it’s very lively with people hawking.

Li Xiu sat down in the wonton stall at the night market and kept looking at the busy stall owner and his daughter.

"Girl! Give me a bowl of wontons! Put more fragrant leaves!" After looking at it for a long time, Li Xiu shouted.

The girl who was helping her father at the wonton stall glared at Li Xiu who was looking over here. She filled a bowl of wontons angrily and threw it in front of Li Xiu.

"Hahaha!" Li Xiu smiled and picked up a pair of chopsticks and started eating.

After eating a big and fragrant wonton, Li Xiu felt very comfortable. After paying two coppers, he returned to Chuncaotang leisurely.

Li Xiu returned to the side door of Chuncao Hall, and the slightly opened gap did not alert Li Xiu.

Li Xiu opened the door and entered the house. He took off his clothes, put on his self-made vest and large pants, and entered the house to wash up and go to bed.

Suddenly, he tripped under his feet, causing Li Xiu to stumble. When he looked back, there were bloody footprints everywhere on the counter floor. He had just been hit by a drawer, and the medicine cabinet had been turned upside down.

A man was lying on his back on his recliner, not knowing whether he was alive or dead. The man's whole body was covered in dark red blood, and he was obviously poisoned.

The wound on the stomach was very large, and the intestines were leaking out. It was as if something exploded inside, blowing the intestines to pieces.

Li Xiu bravely went to this man's nose to check, and there was a faint smell there.

When he thought of this stranger dying in his medicine shop, Li Xiuden couldn't sit still for a long time!

"No! We can't let him die here!" Li Xiu muttered.

Concerned, he quickly ran to the back room and took out a wooden box.

The wooden box was opened, and various things that did not conform to the medical methods of this world were displayed.

Sharp knives, curved needles, syringes made of bamboo tubes and hollow fish bones, and various small porcelain bottles.

Li Xiu found a bowl, poured some white powder from a small bottle, and mixed it with potion.

Take out the hollow bamboo needle, suck out the liquid, and give an injection to the injured person's thigh.

What Li Xiu didn't know was that he was almost killed by the seriously injured man just now. The seriously injured man held a dagger in one hand and was always on guard against Li Xiu's movements.

If Li Xiu ran out to report to the officials or threw him out as a dead person, then Li Xiu would definitely die.

The seriously injured person only felt waves of sleepiness rising up. He tried hard to support his consciousness, but it was to no avail as the medicine had seeped into his body.

Cang, there was a light sound. Li Xiu saw a small golden sword falling from the hand of the seriously injured man. The other hand was still holding on to the... red oil flower in his medicine box.

"Why is this man holding on to the red oil flower?" Li Xiu wondered.

Li Xiu carried the seriously injured person to the hospital bed. The seriously injured person's body was extremely heavy, and Li Xiu was so exhausted that he was sweating profusely.

I wanted to remove the red oil flower from the seriously injured man's hand, but the man's hands seemed to be stuck together and could not be broken apart.

"Okay, I'll give you the red oil flower!" Li Xiu said nagging.

Working hard with his hands, he clamped the bleeding area with a small clip. Li Xiu used scissors to cut open the clothes of the seriously injured person. When he cut to the waist, Li Xiu's scissors seemed to have cut on a piece of iron.

Unbuttoning the man's belt, there was a small silver woven bag tied inside.

Although Li Xiu was curious about the toughness of this little bag, saving people was more important now. He cleaned the wound of the seriously injured person and recalled the cattle and horses that had been operated on using the same method.

Cut off the rotten intestines, sew the good parts back bit by bit, and sew up the skin and flesh.

Fortunately, although the seriously injured man's stomach exploded, his other organs were not affected. Li Xiu just sutured his wounds and connected his intestines. Otherwise, with Li Xiu's half-hearted medical skills, this seriously injured man did not die from his serious injuries.

, and must die in Li Xiu's hands.

After suturing and cleaning the wound, Li Xiu tried his best to recall whether he had dropped anything into the man's stomach just now. Fortunately, all the tools were there! He threw it into a porcelain basin.

The candles had burned out, and it was already the fourth watch outside the house. Li Xiu went to the back room to get the spirits he had distilled, poured the spirits into the porcelain basin, and placed them on the stove together with his surgical tools.

After simple cleaning and disinfection, Li Xiu put away the tools, and the seriously injured person on the other side of the hospital bed also woke up.

"I didn't expect...that Qingzhou City...lived...a miraculous doctor!" the seriously injured man said as he stood up little by little.

"You're awake! If you hadn't fallen in my house covered in blood, I wouldn't have treated you like a living doctor like this." Li Xiu complained.

The seriously injured man reluctantly raised his hand, trying to clasp his fist in thanks.

"Thank you little brother for saving your life, eh? Blood Spirit Grass!" The seriously injured man suddenly looked excitedly at the 'Red Oil Flower' he had been holding on to. His face flushed, and he touched his waist with his other hand.

go.

"Storage bag! Storage bag! My storage bag!" The seriously injured person looked around and said anxiously.
