Chapter 319 The present moment

Before Li Xiaonan came to the door, Madam Shi knew that the charity had been transferred to Li Xiaonan.

The day Princess Changsha heard Princess Wei's words, she sent someone to tell Mrs. Shi.

Mrs. Shi wanted to take over the charity, but she had been entrusted to her face to face. Now that she was convinced, she should inform Mrs. Shi as soon as possible, both emotionally and rationally.

When Li Xiaonan got out of the car, the first thing she saw was Mrs. Pan Jiu who was following Mrs. Shi.

Although Mrs. Pan Jiu was as neatly dressed as usual, she looked like a little quail that had just been wet in the rain.

Mrs. Shi let Li Xiaonan in, but before Li Xiaonan could sit down, Mrs. Pan Jiu knelt down in front of her.

Li Xiaonan was startled. She took off her shoes and sat on the couch. It was too late to get up and help her, so she hurriedly called Wan Qing.

Mrs. Shi stopped Wan Qing, looked at Li Xiaonan and said with a wry smile: "This is the order of her father and mother."

Wan Qing looked at Li Xiaonan. As soon as she said this, Mrs. Pan Jiu had already kowtowed three times. Mrs. Shi bent down to help Mrs. Pan up, looked at Li Xiaonan and said, "If nothing happens, let her go back first."

Li Xiaonan nodded, Mrs. Shi patted Mrs. Pan Jiu who had her head lowered all the time, and Mrs. Pan knelt down and turned around.

Li Xiaonan lit Wan Qing and signaled Wan Qing and Yulan to send Pan Jiu Niang off together.

Watching Mrs. Pan Jiu go out of the courtyard, Mrs. Shi sat opposite Li Xiaonan, making tea with her eyes lowered.

"Princess pointed out the charity organization to me, and there is also a decree. I received it yesterday afternoon." Li Xiaonan looked at Mrs. Shi and said.

"I already know." Mrs. Shi concentrated on baking tea.

"I plan to leave it to you." Li Xiaonan continued.

Mrs. Shi's hand paused and she looked at Li Xiaonan. After a moment, she lowered her eyes and said, "I won't answer."

"Why?" Li Xiaonan watched Mrs. Shi pour the roasted tea into the tea grinder.

"No reason, I don't want to accept it," Mrs. Shi replied.

"Then if the princess takes over and hands it over to you, will you take it over?" Li Xiaonan asked.

Madam Shi did not answer.

"Aren't you overthinking it?" Li Xiaonan waited for a moment and said slowly.

Mrs. Shi glanced sideways at Li Xiaonan, but still didn't answer.

"Why?" Li Xiaonan asked again.

Mrs. Shi paused for a moment, then raised her head and looked at Li Xiaonan and said, "You have seen how they bullied Sister Ninth. In the past, I thought that doing some things would be better, but now I see that if I do something, I might become a target for myself, or even

They will think you invited me to humiliate me."

Li Xiaonan looked at Madam Shi, watching her lower her eyes, then grinded the tea, poured the tea powder into the cup, made a cup of tea, and pushed it in front of Li Xiaonan.

"I hate drinking this kind of muddy tea soup." Li Xiaonan pointed at the tea soup.

Mrs. Shi was startled and looked up at Li Xiaonan.

"I told you once, maybe more than once, that if I don't drink this, you can make me another cup of tea." Li Xiaonan met Mrs. Shi's gaze.

Mrs. Shi's lips trembled a few times, but before she could say anything, Li Xiaonan smiled and said, "I just remembered that my status now is very different from before. When we drink tea, we have to follow my preferences.

"

Mrs. Shi's back stiffened for a while, then she turned to look at Yulan and said, "Take these away."

Magnolia's face was much paler than Mrs. Shi's. She hurriedly stepped forward, removed the cups and pots, and set up the tea banquet again. Li Xiaonan nodded at Magnolia and asked Wan Qing in a loud voice, "Please point her out."

Wan Qing pursed her lips tightly, walked to Yu Lan, held it in for a moment, and ordered two small sapphire cups, "Let's change this."

"What kind of change?" Yulan asked Wanqing.

Wan Qing held it in for a moment and said, "White porcelain."

How could their princess have any preferences for this tea party? She didn't pay attention to these things at all, and she had never held a tea party! She had never held one herself.

Magnolia set up the tea table again, Mrs. Shi's expression had calmed down, she made tea again and pushed it in front of Li Xiaonan.

"If it weren't for the past, it would be a great honor to be able to have tea and chat face to face with Prince Rui's Crown Princess like this." Mrs. Shi's voice was full of bitterness.

"Bullying someone either relies on the strength of the crowd, or they are smarter than the other person. You are a girl from the Shi family and you are so smart. Who can bully you? It means sneaking around and doing evil. You also reminded me of this, saying

Those servants in the palace are very cunning, so be careful of their mischief." Li Xiaonan picked up the cup and raised it to Mrs. Shi.

"Do you really think I should take this job?" Madam Shi asked after being silent for a moment.

"Hmm!" Li Xiaonan said with absolute certainty, "The Changsha Palace sent a cart full of ledgers. I looked through them. It was too messy. I sorted out the ledgers and made a new one that is simple and easy to use.

I will give you the account book again. You also know that I am best at this.

"The accounts and the accountant will be left to you, but the accountant will be appointed by the palace. I will check the accounts every three months. You have to tell me anything else that I should know."

"What should you know?" Mrs. Shi asked.

"Everything you think I should know is what I should know." Li Xiaonan said.

Mrs. Shi looked at Li Xiaonan for a moment, then lowered her head slightly and said, "Yes."

"Then I'm leaving. I'll ask the stewards to come to your place early tomorrow morning." Li Xiaonan said with a smile.

Mrs. Shi walked to the bottom of the steps and watched Li Xiaonan get into the car. The car moved slowly under the guard of the entourage, trotted forward, and then turned around and walked back.

Yulan stepped closer to Mrs. Shi and said angrily: "How could she do this!"

Mrs. Shi glanced at Yulan, stretched out her hand to hold her, and after entering the courtyard, she said in a low voice: "She is reminding me, waking me up."

Madam Shi stood still, raised her head, and looked at the blue sky through the green leaves. After a while, she let out a long breath and slumped her shoulders.

"Are you okay?" Yulan looked at her girl worriedly.

"Nothing, let's go for a walk in the back mountain." Mrs. Shi turned around and walked out.

……………………

Princess Wei didn't ask Li Xiaonan about asking Madam Shi for help, and of course Li Xiaonan didn't tell her.

conveyed to her.

The next morning, Princess Wei finished handling her affairs and sat in the main hall. She glanced sideways at Li Xiaonan, who was standing in front of her absent-mindedly, and suddenly felt a wave of depression.

In the past, her precious son rarely said a few words to her other than greetings throughout the year. Now, thanks to her daughter-in-law, her son said more things to her in a month than he did in the previous seven or eight years. Of course, everything

It's all her daughter-in-law's business.

Alas, what is this?

Princess Wei glanced sideways at Li Xiaonan for a long time. Seeing that Li Xiaonan was wandering in the world and unconscious, she felt another layer of depression in her heart.

"You can go back after serving lunch." Princess Wei confessed, stood up and walked out.

Li Xiaonan was lost in thought. After hearing half of the words, she was stunned. Should she be asked to have lunch before going back? Li Xiaonan looked at Wan Qing behind her, and Wan Qing hurriedly kicked her toe to signal her to follow her quickly.

Nanny Shen tilted the tip of Wan Qing's kick, paused slightly, nodded slightly to Li Xiaonan, and said in a low voice: "I'll go with grandma to make a bowl of tea for the princess first."

Li Xiaonan hurriedly followed Grandma Shen.

Under Grandma Shen's guidance and guidance, Li Xiaonan managed to handle lunch in a decent manner.

Gu Yan came back a little later than usual. As soon as he entered the second door, he found out that Li Xiaonan was serving the princess for lunch today. When he entered the princess's main courtyard, he invited An Zhizhi, sat down and asked: "Are you staying at noon?"

Are you waiting for lunch?"

"Who told you?" Princess Wei asked.

"Our palace is like an iron bucket taken care of by grandma. No matter who it is, they must be thinking about grandma's wishes before they dare to tell me. Even if grandma told me, what happened? Grandma again.

Did it make you angry?" Gu Yan leaned over and looked at his mother's face.

"What do you mean something happened? In which house is it not a daughter-in-law's daily duty to serve my uncle for dinner?" Princess Wei said angrily.

"It's not the case in our family. When you served the grandma at dinner, you always sat face to face with her and ate together." Gu Yan said rudely.

Princess Wei choked and was about to speak when Gu Yan said first: "Auntie, didn't I tell you? Auntie wants to help me with the accounts. Only she can understand those accounts. She is on official duty."

, if you torment her like this and she gets sick, what will I do as an errand?"

Princess Wei choked angrily, "You protect her like this, can you protect her like this for the rest of your life?"

"Why not? Dad has been protecting you for half his life?" Gu Yan answered the question very quickly.

"Okay, okay, you can protect me if you can." Princess Wei waved at Gu Yan, signaling him to leave quickly.

"Next time you ask Grandma to wait for dinner or something, you have to follow Grandma's rules. Those are the rules of our palace." Gu Yan stood up and explained again.

Princess Wei ignored him.

Seeing Gu Yan coming out of the hanging flower door, Nanny Shen glanced at Princess Wei's face and said with a smile: "The princess is all for the good of the eldest grandma. The eldest grandma has been raised since childhood. I'm afraid she won't be able to understand the princess for a while. How about I go and have a chat with grandma about this?"

Princess Wei lowered her eyelids and said a vague 'hmm'.
