"Master is not joking." Xuanzang, who was forced to wake up, shook his head, "Monkey, you feel that God is unfair to the monsters, and you feel that the monsters have been suppressed by Buddhism for thousands of years."
"In your opinion, only if the demon clan takes power and suppresses Buddhism for thousands of years can all living beings be considered equal."
His voice was very calm, neither happy nor sad.
"Do you think that Buddhism was prosperous back then, so the demon clan should also have a prosperous age. You, who have been suppressed for five hundred years, should also sit on the highest seat. Let the Tathagata feel your original pain, and let the Buddhist disciples atone for the sins of the demon clan.
. Only in this way can all living beings be considered equal."
"Did you say something wrong, Master?"
The monkey didn't know what Xuanzang meant, so he shook his head repeatedly: "What the master said is exactly what the disciple is thinking."
"So, I just followed your thinking and deduced it." Xuanzang said softly: "If you really take revenge, the demon clan will take power. As you wish, both Buddhism and the human race will be destroyed.
I am so suppressed that I can’t even lift my head.”
"Only the demon clan is flourishing."
"Of course, what I said is a bit decisive. A group of big monsters may not be in Lingshan, but gathered in Huaguo Mountain. You won't really use Tathagata as your dharma title, but you will make some Qitian Demon
King, be a demon ancestor."
"Perhaps you will also create your own teachings and create some kind of demon sect."
"You can even choose an unpleasant Buddhist disciple, seduce him by becoming a monster, make him betray his own people, force him to kill his former comrades, just to become a monster, and finally give him a random name.
With this method, you can further humiliate Buddhism and the Tathagata of the past!"
The monkey's eyes were a little excited, as if he had seen that scene.
The demon clan flourished and took control of the three realms.
The human race was suppressed and went into hiding, and those Buddhist disciples were even more precarious, hiding in the mountains and forests.
All the great demons gathered in their own Huaguo Mountain, while he sat in the Water Curtain Cave, enjoying the admiration of the demon clan in the world, and having countless disciples and descendants.
What a paradise that must be!
How fair!
Monkey could not help but breathe heavily just thinking about that scene.
I can even deceive and intimidate a Buddhist disciple, make him become a demon, and ask him to kill his colleagues along the way. If he doesn't obey, I will suppress him for five hundred years, and finally give him a random name.
Fight the demon king and let him struggle with it for the rest of his life, in order to avenge what the Tathagata did to him back then...
etc!
The monkey's eyes suddenly widened, what he was thinking was so familiar!
Xuanzang said softly: "Monkey, at that time, what's the difference between you and Buddhism?"
"Even if you knock down Lingshan, is Lingshan really gone?"
"Even if you overthrow Buddhism, is Buddhism really gone?"
"Even if you kill Tathagata, is Tathagata really gone?"
"Master, I, I don't..." Monkey's voice trembled. At this moment, he seemed to understand what Master meant.
Xuanzang's voice shocked the heaven and earth, like a bell in the ears!
"At that time, although Lingshan falls and Buddhism dies, your Huaguo Mountain will be Lingshan! Your demon sect will be Buddhism! And you, the Demon King of Qitian who keeps saying that all living beings are equal, will be the original Tathagata!"
"At that time, how do you know that there won't be another unworthy Monkey King coming to attack this Buddha who keeps talking about you!"
As soon as these words came out, the monkey's whole body started to tremble.
Once upon a time, thousands of Buddhas sat high in Lingshan Mountain.
And in the Huaguo Mountain in my fantasy, all the monsters gathered together.
In the past, Buddhism suppressed the demon clan.
And the demon clan in his fantasy suppresses Buddhism!
What is the difference between myself... and that Tathagata!
For a moment, Monkey seemed to have no strength to fight anymore, and the unyielding light in his eyes suddenly dimmed, as if the thing that had supported him all the way to this point suddenly collapsed.
As the wanton Monkey King, I tried my best to resist fate, Buddhism, and the Tathagata.
In the end, he became another Buddhist, another Tathagata?
My so-called resistance is just another reincarnation?
In the end, this world is still the same, still the same as it is now!
Buddhism just changed its name!
Tathagata is just a different person!
The Monkey King will still exist!
Is this what you get for your desperate resistance? Just to become the next Tathagata?
The demonic nature gushing from the monkey suddenly dimmed. Although it was no longer suppressed, he remained motionless, as if he had no idea of even moving a finger.
His breath began to become disordered, and the golden cudgel in his hand, which was made from the unyielding will of all living beings, seemed to weigh a thousand pounds and fell to the ground with a clang.
Xuanzang looked at the golden cudgel on the ground, which is as famous as the Monkey King and symbolizes unyielding and resistance. He said softly: "Monkey, my master may have never told you... Do you know that this golden cudgel was used by the previous one?"
Master, who is it?"
The monkey did not answer, but looked at Xuanzang.
"My master, you are thinking of the person you want to take revenge on." Xuanzang said softly: "The Dharma name is Tathagata."
"I am his disciple, just like you followed me on my journey to the west. I saw with my own eyes that this stick followed him all the way, but on the day he sat on the highest seat of Lingshan, he could no longer take it.
Pick up this stick."
"Tathagata Buddha?" The monkey's pupils shrank suddenly: "He, he also took this stick, and he also resisted like my old grandson..."
The monkey suddenly couldn't talk any more.
He seems to have seen the results of his pursuit of the so-called "equality of all living beings".
The monkey's face was bitter. At this moment, he really didn't know what to do.
"Master, I understand what you mean." Monkey smiled bitterly and said, "But Master, I really don't know what to do."
"The Tathagata's Five Fingers Mountain is so powerful. I'm afraid my disciple will never be able to get out of it in his lifetime." The monkey suddenly said this inexplicably.
Although the monkey had already left Wuzhishan that year.
But during that journey to the west, his soul was trapped at the foot of Wuzhi Mountain. He saw himself being forced by Buddhism to numbly raise a stick and smash each of his former comrades to death in order to become a Buddha.
He originally thought that if he became a Buddha, he might really leave Wuzhishan.
But after becoming a Buddha, he found that he still could not escape from the Five Fingers Mountain. In his dreams, he thought of the monsters who died tragically under the stick, and the giant Buddha sitting high on the Lingshan Mountain.
Monkey felt that maybe only by completely destroying Buddhism, giving justice to the demon clan, and letting the demon clan take power could he truly get out of Wuzhishan.
But now...
Will you be the next Tathagata?
Are you still under Tathagata's Five Fingers Mountain?
"Master, is my revenge completely meaningless?" Monkey looked at the phantom in confusion, "I just want to give justice to the demon clan and give this world a true equality for all living beings... But in the end, in the end
, but I have become the Tathagata that I was before, and the monsters have become Buddhists. In this world, there are still Tathagatas, Buddhism, and the suppressed monsters."
"But, Master, Buddhism has suppressed the demon clan for thousands of years, and the demon clan has suppressed Buddhism for another thousand years. Isn't this unfair?"
"The Tathagata has suppressed me for so long, and I want to take revenge on him. Isn't this also equality?"
“Why do these things that are so obviously equal end up becoming unequal?”
"I'm so confused. I obviously just want fairness!"
The monkey looked at the Master in confusion, just like the ignorant monkey we met for the first time, and begged: "Master, teach me, what should I do?"
