4, the emperor's request

The Warriors only selected Looney. Other teams will not give up on Taobao because of this. The draft is still very lively.

Deng Fang knows very well that the quality of this draft is quite high.

The No. 1 pick in the 2015 draft was Towns, who was selected by the Timberwolves.

Towns is 2.13 meters tall and weighs 111 kilograms. He has good jumping and decent speed. The most important thing is that he has many offensive tricks. He can post up in the low post and has a very reliable shooting hand. It is no big deal that he was selected as the No. 1 pick.

Doubtful.

Towns' only problem is his aggressiveness, which is manifested in insufficient input on the defensive end. But it's hard to say whether this problem is his own fault. After all, the Timberwolves have always been a black hole for young players, and there is something wrong with the team culture.

Would Towns be much better off if he were drafted by the Warriors? This is indeed a question worth considering.

The second pick was Russell, selected by the Lakers.

Russell is a defender, not fast, but has decent shooting ability. He mainly relies on rhythm to play and relies heavily on pick-and-rolls. His subsequent performances have also proved his strength, and his second place position is barely justified.

The 76ers, who held the No. 3 pick, selected Okafor. Later facts proved that this was a failure.

The New York Knicks selected Porzingis with the fourth overall pick, and later facts proved that this choice was unwise.

Porzingis has height and shooting, but he also lacks aggressiveness and plays very softly, just like Towns. But unlike Towns, Porzingis has great injury risks and is a medicine bottle.

The subsequent selections of several teams were not good until the Pacers selected Turner with the 11th overall pick.

Turner is a good big man, with outstanding shot-blocking ability, but otherwise average, and this pick is in line with his worth.

Of course, if you take into account that the first few players are not very good, Turner can still be moved up a few positions.

Besides Towns, the most eye-catching player is Booker, whom the Suns selected with the 13th overall pick.

Booker is 1.98 meters tall and is a standard shooting guard. His biggest feature is his strong shooting ability, especially good at three-pointers. His shortcoming is his average organizational ability.

If the order is rearranged, it would be more reasonable for Booker to be ranked second.

Rozier, whom the Celtics selected with the 16th overall pick, is also good. He can be a good backup point guard and a starter. Logically speaking, he can be ranked in the top ten.

Nance Jr., whom the Lakers selected with the 27th overall pick, is also very good, and there is no problem in ranking in the top ten.

Harrell, selected by the Rockets with the 32nd overall pick, is a good substitute player. Although his defense is worrying, he still has two skills on the offensive end. There is no problem in ranking in the top ten this year.

Connaughton, who was selected by the Nets with the 41st overall pick, was also very useful. He was a good substitute player. Historically, Connaughton was directly traded to the Trail Blazers after being selected by the Nets. He stayed with the Trail Blazers for three years before being traded.

When he arrived with the Bucks, he became a reliable substitute player on the Bucks' bench.

The Bucks selected Norman Powell with the 46th overall pick in the second round and later traded him to the Toronto Raptors.

Powell has developed well in the NBA. He has no problem being a substitute scorer and is also good as a starter.

If we look at the development of later generations, Connaughton could be ranked in the top fifteen that year, and Powell should be in the top ten as well.

These players are all good. Deng Fang would choose one or two from them if he could, but he had to give up because of system limitations.

After winning Kevin Looney in the draft, the next step is to renew the free agent contract and the trade market.

The first is to renew Clay Gu’s contract

Historically, Klay reached a four-year maximum salary extension contract with the Warriors on November 1, 2014, worth approximately US$70 million.

But Deng Fang knew Clay's strength, so after selecting Clay, Deng Fang directly signed a five-year contract with him, which expires this summer.

Clay's annual salary for the 2014-2015 season was 3.08 million, and now he has to renew his contract.

Because he did not renew his contract in advance last year, Clay is now a completely free agent and can choose to sign with any team.

Deng Fang is not worried about this. He believes that Clay is not stupid and will definitely come back.

If in other teams, as long as the players can live up to their worth and have a certain say, they will choose to renew their contracts with the team in advance.

This is mainly because of concerns about injuries, and early contract renewal can directly lock in a large amount of salary.

But you don't have to worry about it in the Warriors. As long as you can play well, you don't have to worry about injuries at all!

So Clay won't complain about it.

After the free market opened, the Warriors immediately signed a maximum-salary contract with Clay, worth $110 million over five years.

To be fair, Clay cannot be the boss of a team. His independent offensive ability is not very good. Maximum salary contracts are generally given to star players with strong independent scoring ability, but there is no way. Market demand determines value.

If Klay is put on the market, there will be a lot of teams that will give Klay a maximum salary contract, so if the Warriors want to keep him, they have to give it!

Klay's off-ball movement and three-pointers are the core expression of his value. In addition, his defense is also very good, which is also one of the reasons why he can get the maximum salary.

Unlike Green, Clay can only show his strength in the Warriors. Even if he goes to other teams, Clay can score, and his statistics will even be better!

Therefore, Clay has bargaining capital, but Green's bargaining capital is not large.

Historically, Clay renewed his contract with the Warriors in the summer of 2014, while Green renewed his contract with the Warriors in the summer of 2015 after winning the championship. The contract amount is US$85 million over five years.

Again, Green is of extraordinary significance to the Warriors, to some extent more important than Clay!

Without Klay, find a better 3D player, such as Ariza and Danny Green, and the Warriors' tactics can still run. The system is still there, but without Green, the Death Five will not be able to play, and Curry will be

Unscrupulous double-teaming!

Green gets less money than Clay. The main reason is that he is not popular enough in the market, or his adaptability is not strong enough.

For the Warriors, Green is a treasure, but for most other teams, Green is useless.

After Klay's contract is renewed, Barbosa will be the one.

On July 7, BJ time, the Warriors reached a contract extension agreement with veteran Leandro Barbosa. The two parties signed a new one-year contract worth $2.5 million.

The 32-year-old Barbosa has played for 6 different teams in the past 12 years of his career, and his playing career has been bumpy. In 2003, he was drafted by the Spurs with the 28th overall pick, and was subsequently traded to the Suns.

, he spent the first seven years of his career with the Suns.

After that, Barbosa wandered around the Raptors, Pacers, Celtics, and returned to the Suns once. In 2014, he signed a one-year contract with the Warriors. Last season, Barbosa played 66 games for the Warriors (one start).

His main role is to serve as Curry's substitute. He is 1.9 meters tall and averages 14.9 minutes per game, scoring 7.1 points and 1.5 assists. His performance is remarkable.

In the past playoffs, Barbosa had several amazing performances, including a key performance of 13 points against the Cavaliers in Game 5 of the Finals.

Barbosa won the Sixth Man of the Year award in 2007. That year he averaged 18.1 points per game. Throughout his career, he averaged 22.9 minutes per game, 11.4 points and 2.3 assists.

Barbosa is a stable scoring point on the Warriors' bench, and this renewal price is very cost-effective.
