Chapter 37 Hilbert Jean Angers

At nine o'clock in the morning, Lu Mingfei arrived at the door of the principal's office of Cassel College on time.

This was the time and place of the "3E" exam that Norma notified him via email early in the morning - a "3E" exam held specifically for Lu Mingfei. The location was in the principal's office in Angers, the only one in the entire Kassel College.

One serving.

Angers' office is an inconspicuous two-story building. The blue stone walls are covered with rattan and green ivy clinging to them. The outer wall looks a bit in disrepair.

The branches and yellow leaves are softly spread on the long corridor, and you will hear a crunching sound when you step on it. It looks more like an unknown former residence that has been preserved from the last century.

There is an exquisite copper bell hanging on the door, which must be the doorbell. It can be seen that the principal is indeed a retro and sentimental old guy!

Lu Mingfei didn't know what the meaning of Principal Ange, whom he had yet to meet, was in setting the location of the "3E" exam in his office, but he just came to take the exam and not to fight with that old monster, so he came here

Then it will be safe.

Lu Mingfei stepped forward and shook the bell gently, and the copper bell made an ethereal crisp sound.

"Principal, are you there?"

"Ming Fei? Come in, child." A vicissitudes of life and a warm voice came from inside the house, and the door slowly opened.

Lu Mingfei was a little stunned after entering the room. The first impression this office gave him was that it was rich!

So rich! The whole house is filled with money! The rich aura of trenches blows in my face!

Before that, he had wondered why such a building could not even install a window. After entering, he realized that this was the design style of the building.

The upper and lower floors of the building are completely connected, and the open staircase extends in a spiral form from the doorway on the first floor to the top of the second floor. The four walls of the entire two-story building are carved into built-in bookshelves filled with books - a dazzling array of books -

From the Nobel Prize-winning works of this century to the broken scrolls of the Middle Ages.

Lu Mingfei strongly suspected that all the books placed here were authentic, and thought about the outrageous astronomical figures that the books on this wall would fetch at a noble auction.

Not to mention the medieval antique pianos and violins placed in the corner. Lu Mingfei had no way of estimating their specific value.

'Damn it, is this the world of rich people? How can I, a native who has lived in a small coastal town in the south, understand this?'

There is a huge transparent skylight in the dome. Warm light shines into the house through the skylight, creating bright haloes on the dark solid wood floor.

When Lu Mingfei saw the unique design of this skylight, he thought that he couldn't blame Caesar for his coquettish father Pompeii. In fact, the window looked too much like the landing point of some kind of directional skydiving. If he had money, he would definitely do it.

Play like this!

"Come up and talk, kid." Beside the tea table on the second floor, the old man waved gently to the boy.

Lu Mingfei climbed up the spiral staircase until he stood in front of the old man.

The old man is leaning on the cushions on the back of the chair. He is holding an original printed copy of "Hamlet" in his hand. The teacup on the tea table in front of him is filled with wisps of fragrance, and the mist rises like smoke in the sun.

Gathering and scattering.

The old-fashioned gramophone in the corner was playing Beethoven's "Symphony No. 5 in C minor", also known as "Symphony of Destiny". Lu Mingfei was very familiar with this song because Chu Zihang often played it at the evening parties of Shilan Middle School.

Listening to the passionate medieval symphony and reading The Revenge of the Prince, it seems that this old man's bones are really filled with strong hatred that cannot be resolved!

The old man's face was hidden in the rising mist, and his pair of aged and deep eyes were filled with human stories that could never be told all night long. The long years had carved vertical and horizontal ravines on his face, and they seemed to be buried in the ravines.

There are rows of tombstones of old friends.

Hilbert Jean Angers, a coquettish and handsome old-school gentleman, a powerful dragon-slaying blade, a bloody avenger who returned from hell!

It’s really better to be famous than to meet him, Principal Angers!

"Hello, principal." Lu Mingfei bowed slightly.

"Don't be too formal, let's sit and chat." Ange smiled and pointed to the chair that had been prepared opposite.

After Lu Mingfei sat down, Ange put down the unique copy worth thousands of gold wrapped in exquisite cowhide in his hand. He closed his eyes and sipped the tea in the cup, and then asked with a smile, "What should you drink, tea or coffee?"

"Let's have tea on the tea table, thank you principal." Lu Mingfei said.

"He is a good boy who understands etiquette." Angers stood up and selected from the custom-made tea cabinet not far away.

"Pekoe Silver Needle? Xinyang Maojian? Or Lushan Yunwu?" Angers looked at the ancient tea cakes placed in the tea cabinet. He picked and selected, and finally seemed to feel something, and his eyes fell on the tea cake in the corner.

On a small tin can, the small white label on the side of the tin had a neat word "路" written on it.

"Let's go back to Tieguanyin. An old friend brought it to me on a special trip a long time ago. It should be more in line with your taste." Angers returned to the tea table with the tin can.

"Excuse me, principal."

"No trouble, I like your Chinese tea culture very much. Making tea is also a kind of enjoyment. It can examine your mood and cultivate your sentiments." Angers' idiom skills are quite good.

"Tieguanyin is produced in Anxi, Fujian, China. It has the effects of strengthening the stomach and digestion, dispelling heat and reducing fat. It is suitable for people of all ages to drink. This is a special grade, with a strong aftertaste, and the taste and quality can be said to be quite good."

Ange skillfully sprinkled the tea leaves and introduced them while brewing.

Lu Mingfei has never studied tea. Although he doesn't know what grade special grade is and how fragrant it is, the taste in Ange's mouth is quite good, so it is probably worth a lot of money.

After the tea was brewed, Ange pushed the cup in front of Lu Mingfei, smiled and said, "Try it, it should be very good."

Lu Mingfei picked up the cup, blew it gently, and then took a sip carefully. It was slightly bitter, but the aftertaste was fragrant and long. Even someone like him who didn't understand tea at all could drink it.

It's good tea, but he really can't get used to it.

"Very good tea." Lu Mingfei nodded lightly and suddenly changed the topic, "But I'm here to take the exam. The principal should give me a pen and paper, otherwise the answer will be engraved on your expensive huanghuali tea.

I can't afford to pay for the scratches on the table."

"When did you first notice it?" Angers was stunned for a moment, then smiled and took out a piece of white paper and a sharpened pencil from the corner of the table.

"It started when I walked in. I am quite familiar with this piece of music. The few notes mixed in are quite abrupt and sound a bit disharmonious. It should be Long Wen, right?"

"You are worthy of being our 'S' class. You are the most outstanding young man I have ever seen. Not even Caesar and Chu Zihang can take away your dazzling brilliance!" Ange lamented.

"The principal is so complimentary..." Lu Mingfei didn't finish his words.

"How ridiculous, this is obviously one of the few things this old man said that makes sense!"

Lu Mingfei looked up, and Ange had already disappeared without a trace.

The boy in a black suit was sitting on Angre's beloved tea table, his feet in white square-mouth leather shoes swaying back and forth, a white silk square scarf exposed from his pocket, and a pair of faint golden eyes staring at Lu Mingfei with a half-smile.
