Chapter 143 Greylock’s Heart

September 1st.

The students of Ilvermorny began to attend classes formally, while the exchange students who were guests were doing nothing.

Professor Suouene was quite a person. He just announced that his project would start in a week and never said another word to these students.

Since several people can serve as exchange students, they obviously no longer need to study regular courses. There is no need to enter the classroom in Ilvermorny to study with local students.

During the party last night, many students from Ilvermorny came to Viktor Krum to ask for his autograph either shyly or with admiration, which made Erwin understand that he can actually be regarded as an international star.

, As the only mainstream sport in the wizarding world, Quidditch still has considerable influence.

But now the students all need to go to class, so naturally there are no fans around him.

Erwin doesn't mind going to the library in Ilvermorny, maybe he can find some magic that is not available in Hogwarts to enrich his knowledge reserve.

But this is not a priority.

Opening the door, I saw Virginio and Ogg playing wizard chess.

"Good morning." Virginio greeted.

Erwin took a look at it and found that their wizard chess was very sophisticated. Every command given to the chess pieces was regarded as a separate magic, and it consumed a lot of magic power.

It is not a toy that ordinary students can play with.

Keeping the magic power in the process of using and recovering at all times is a pretty good normal exercise. It can slightly improve the level of magic power over the years. More importantly, it can make the wizard get used to being in a state of using magic power at all times, so that it can ensure the need to use it.

There is no sense of stagnation when doing magic.

Of course, this means nothing to Erwin himself.

He watched for a while and then joined in, taking turns playing chess with the two men.

Lunch was delivered by a chef working in Ilvermorny with a trolley that moved on its own without them having to go to the restaurant.

Victor and Angela also came out for lunch. The atmosphere between everyone was quite harmonious. There was no disagreement. At least they seemed to be friends.

Only Lyudmila's door was still closed.

Angela knocked on the door cautiously, but got no response.

Several people looked at each other, "Let's not disturb her." Black brother Ogg said hesitantly.

"Yes," Virginio threw a cookie into his mouth, "Everyone should be careful. If she accidentally misunderstands that you want to hurt her, you will be in big trouble."

Viktor nodded slightly and enjoyed his portion of the meal in silence.

There was a lot of food delivered from the kitchen, and the eldest sister Angela very thoughtfully gave out Lyudmila's portion and put it on the cabinet opposite her door.

At the end of lunch, the bones and food residues were disposed of with a vanishing spell, and the tableware was placed back on the self-moving trolley.

"There should be a magic market or village near here, why don't we go for a walk?" Erwin suggested.

"What a great idea!" Virginio's eyes lit up.

"I happen to be planning to go there," Angela said, "to see if there are any medicinal materials unique to America for sale."

Viktor glanced at Erwin: "Do you know the exact location of the magic market near here?"

"I don't know." Erwin said.

"Then how can you be so sure that there will be a magic market?"

"Theoretically, there should be." Erwin shrugged, "How about making a bet?"

"It's not worth betting on such a trivial matter." Viktor shook his head slightly.

"Why don't we just go and ask the professor here?" The eldest sister Angela gave reasonable advice, which was immediately adopted.

Everyone went out together. It was lunch break, and Viktor naturally received a lot of attention. Several young girls even seemed to faint from excitement.

"Why can't they seem to see that there are three handsome and promising young men here?" Virginio said to Erwin and Ogg angrily.

"Do you want to be treated like Viktor?" Erwin asked calmly.

Virginio was stunned for a moment, "That's not true. I feel quite bored being surrounded by so many people."

"That's fine then."

Being well-known is not entirely a good thing, it means you have to be in the spotlight a lot of the time.

She found Professor Twelve Trees, a serious and old-fashioned middle-aged witch who looked very similar to Professor McGonagall and thought for a moment.

"You are not students of Ilvermorny, and it seems inappropriate to use the school rules here to restrain you. So, I allow you to go to the Heart of Greylock. I hope you can abide by the order there and not cause any trouble. This

That’s my only request.”

"Of course, don't worry." Erwin said.

"You go find Millis, she will take you there. Erwin, you should still remember her, right?"

"Of course." Erwin nodded. It was the girl named Twelve Trees who introduced him to Ilvermorny yesterday.

After walking out of the office, "There is indeed a magic market nearby. You lose, Viktor." Virginio looked at the other party with a smirk.

"I didn't agree to the bet before." Victor said calmly.

"Generally speaking, there should be a gathering point for wizards near a magic school, because in this way, you only need to apply a large-scale Muggle shielding spell to an area. After all, maintaining this kind of regional magic is very resource-intensive. In addition, students are in the school

There is usually consumer demand here, and it would be much more convenient if there is a market nearby." Erwin said.

He looked at Virginio and others again, "I think everyone else knows this too."

Virginio nodded, "There must be a gathering point for wizards near the magic school. This is common sense."

"But not near Durmstrang," said Viktor.

"I think it's because you guys are too secretive," Erwin said.

This is a rather euphemistic way of saying it, but the fact is that Durmstrang is basically outside the mainstream wizarding society in Europe.

"Speaking of which, where will the market be?" Angela asked suddenly.

"Except for Ilvermorny Castle, Mount Greylock is a wilderness. North Adams, the closest place to here, is a purely ordinary town. Of course, more importantly, the name Heart of Greylock is too obvious, so I

I guess it's in the mountain." Erwin speculated,

"Second." Virginio nodded.

"It's the same as the Moon Mountain where Wagadu is located," Ogg said.

"Correct!" Angela smiled, like a big sister who deliberately asked three little boys questions.

Yet no one was offended.

Everyone is not very familiar with Ilvermorny Castle, but there are not all kinds of inexplicable little traps here like Hogwarts. After giving full play to Viktor's personal charm, they only asked three girls

I successfully found Millis Twelve Trees.

Hearing their purpose, Milis was stunned for a moment, but then she responded, "Please come with me."

She led them to a corner of the city wall, then took out a talisman with the pattern of the four schools of Ilvermorny on it and shook it gently.

The masonry on the surface of the city wall gradually faded, revealing a hidden room containing an old wooden elevator.

"I hope you don't tell other students about this place." Millis said.

It was not a secret passage, Erwin was a little surprised.

Milis took them onto the elevator. She raised the talisman, a faint light flickered, and the elevator began to move and sink slowly.

The speed was not too fast, because the sinking time was a bit long. Erwin suddenly felt that some kind of restraint on himself suddenly disappeared. This should mean that he had left the restricted range of Ilvermorny and could use phantom movement.

Shaped.

The elevator stopped, and when it reached the bottom, Millis pushed open the closed door, and light shone in. Just as Erwin expected, what they saw was a spacious underground space.

For wizards, hollowing out a mountain is not a grand project.

Erwin felt that compared to Diagon Alley, Greylock's Heart, a gathering point for wizards hidden in the mountains, was better because it was less likely to be discovered by ordinary people.

There is a blazing big fire basin suspended every ten meters, so that there is no shortage of light in this underground space.

"Please feel free to do so." Milis smiled slightly, "If you want to go back to Ilvermorny, come back to this elevator. Of course, you can also go out through the main entrance of the Heart of Greylock."

"Thank you." Victor nodded slightly to her, and the girl couldn't help but blush.

It is time for everyone to disband the temporary tour group and go about their own activities.

"Ogg and I are going to take a look at the alchemy material store here. What about you, Erwin?" Virginio asked.

"I'm going to go to the medicine store." Erwin said.

"Are you going too?" The eldest sister Angela was a little surprised, but then she smiled slightly and said, "It just so happens that we can come together."

Virginie seemed to understand immediately. He glanced at Alvin meaningfully, and then lowered his voice, "Yes, France and England are quite close... Then Ogg and I won't bother you."

He winked at Erwin, "Finding a medical witch as your girlfriend is the wisest decision."

"Only you would think so." Erwin shot back expressionlessly.

"Hey, hey, hey, I can hear you." Angela said, with a bit of anger in her tone.

Virginio smiled and left with Ogg.

Viktor nodded at the two of them and walked towards the sporting goods store.

"Then let's go too, little brother Erwin." Angela smiled slightly.

"Can you remove the word 'little'?" Erwin made a helpless gesture. "It's so cute to call it that." Angela covered her mouth and chuckled.

As a witch who is proficient in medical magic, it is not surprising that she can directly see Erwin's actual age.

It seemed that because of this, she didn't mind Erwin coming.

After all, he is just a little brother.

Erwin really didn't take this opportunity to get close to Angela. He really wanted to take a look at the medicine store. Maybe some unique medicinal materials in the Americas would be helpful to his further research on blood potions.

Some special medicinal materials have a very short shelf life and can only be purchased in the place of origin.

"Being able to come here as an exchange student, it seems that little Erwin is a rare genius." Angela said with a smile: "Old aunts like me are really envious."

"If you are all old aunties, then can all graduated witches only be called old ladies?" Erwin complimented with a very serious expression.

Most women appreciate compliments about their appearance.

Angela should be no exception, her beautiful eyes are complete with crescent moons.

"Let's go, sister, I'll treat you to ice cream."

It was just an ice cream. Erwin didn't refuse, but he just insisted on a basic vanilla flavor. Angela also bought one for herself, adding a lot of nuts and cocoa sauce.

"One of the benefits of being a witch is that you don't have to worry about getting fat no matter what you eat!"

There are still many American wizards in this area. When they met Angela, they couldn't help but look at her twice. The appearance can be affected by magic, but the unique temperament cannot.

Even though there was a lot of cocoa sauce on her lips at this time.

Erwin noticed a building with a big bird coming in and out, which should be the local post office. Wizards in most parts of the world are accustomed to using birds as messengers. The United Kingdom uses owls, while the United States uses

It's a bald eagle.

When they entered the medicine store, they were stopped and the clerk forcefully asked them to finish their ice cream before entering.

Erwin had finished his ice cream, but Angela had only eaten half of the extra-large deluxe version with extra toppings.

Seeing that the eldest sister was completely unwilling to throw it away, Erwin could only sigh secretly and wait for her to finish eating.

Girls who like sweets should be more innocent and cute, right?

The distinction between medicinal materials is not very strict here in the Americas. Next to the Fire Snake Egg, the main raw material of the euphoric potion, is the Filo dead root, which is generally used to make powerful corrosive potions. In the UK, the latter can usually only be turned into a potion.

You can only buy it secretly in the alley.

Erwin looked at it for a while and bought several kinds at random.

Angela saw it and didn't ask Erwin what he wanted to do with these medicinal materials.

"I have bought what I want, and now I plan to go back to Ilvermorny. What about you?" Angela asked after half an hour.

"I plan to walk around for a while," Erwin said.

"See you later."

Watching Angela's back disappear into the crowd, the plumpness of that delicate body actually stayed in Erwin's mind for a few seconds longer.

As he ages, he will inevitably be affected by male hormones.

"What did you find?" he asked Riddle.

"No." Riddle was silent for a while, "Her posture...should not be a disguise."

Erwin shook his head slightly. Is it really an illusion? He turned back and walked in the opposite direction to the elevator. He was not interested in other shops in the Heart of Greylock for the time being. What he was looking for now was the main entrance of the area inside the mountain.

He walked into a passage, which became narrower and narrower as he went forward, and finally saw a closed wall.
