The days are still long and the nights are short here in Kangding. It was not until 7:30 in the evening that the police station lights came on.
"How's the situation? What did you say?"
Xiaozhen took a few deep breaths when she got in the car. After seeing me asking her, she said: "They said they attach great importance to it and will launch an investigation immediately. They also warned me not to travel far in the near future and they still need my cooperation."
"Good job!" I clenched my fists.
"Brother Feng, you...you said you would give me the money back..." Xiao Zhen said in a low voice.
"Don't be so anxious. I will give it to you as soon as I promise, and I won't break my promise, but that will have to wait until I receive the goods."
"Oh...then...that's okay."
It's definitely not going to be quiet tonight.
At 10:30, a B&B in Mohuo Village, including several hotels around Kangding County, were all sent to investigate. People named and asked to find someone, come out!
Among the things carried by these dealers, the police station found more or less silver coins, some with one or two, and some with twenty or thirty coins.
If you find this thing, it's irrefutable evidence. You don't even need to ask routine questions, just put it in a police car and take it away.
The only silver coins that were not found were Yuan Sibi because they were all in my bag.
I was not at the first scene, but I heard people talk about the scene.
Just like a board meeting, more than 20 land shovelers squatted on the floor of the police station lobby wearing silver bracelets and chatting. Several of them were shirtless and wearing slippers.
"You came?"
"Damn it, you're here anyway!"
"I don't know. How many coins were found for you?"
"I have 6, how many do you have?"
"That's more for you. I received two in total! If this damn person is sentenced in Kangding, I won't have the shame to go back to Xinxiang!"
"Who says it's not? Hey! We really got carried away this time! Let's figure out how to protect ourselves."
At this time, Yuan Sibi gritted his teeth and said loudly: "How come you haven't seen it yet! This clearly shows who the bastard sold us!"
"Yes! Someone in the industry must have done it! Damn it, who is this piece of shit! If you let me know, he will definitely not get any good results from him!"
In fact, no one except me knows that Yuan Sibi also wrote his name in the letter.
After his "accident", I drove back to our hotel.
After listening to me talk about what happened in the past two days, he raised his head and smiled happily: "Not bad Yunfeng, well done."
"In this way, not only will local dealers no longer threaten you, but many dealers from other places may not dare to come to Kangding in the near future."
I nodded: "I've made the decision. There are family members in the village who will cooperate with me. Tomorrow at one o'clock at midnight, I will collect the money and collect the goods. Now the people in the village can only sell me because they have no choice."
"How many do you plan to receive?"
I thought for a while and said: "Eight hundred and one."
He flicked the cigarette ashes on his head, coughed and said: "No, if you drop three thousand dollars, the drop is too big. As a result, some people who are not short of these eight hundred dollars would rather die in their own hands than sell it to someone else."
you."
"How much is appropriate?"
The head said: "A single coin costs 2,500. If there are more than two coins, you can add 100 for each additional coin. The cap is still the original price of 3,500 you offered. In this way, you can not only save a lot of money, but also receive more goods."
"Yunfeng, don't always think about picking up bargains. We are making money at this price no matter what. Do you know the background of those silver coins?"
I said I knew it, it was a silver coin from Chongzhou Sha Chongguo.
"Then what?" I asked, "Tell me, who made it? Why were these silver coins with flowers patterns made at that time? Was it dedicated to a certain person, or was it for reward circulation? Why were they buried in the coffin in the end?
?”
"This..." I scratched my head and couldn't say anything.
He smiled and said: "Yunfeng, you have been busy these two days, and I have not been idle either. I have already solved the secret."
He took out a broken book from the drawer and threw it on the table.
I think this shabby book is an old photocopy of the "Newly Revised Chengdu Prefectural Chronicles" in the first year of Tianqi in the Ming Dynasty. To put it simply, it is the county chronicles.
There are two theories here, one is that there is no county chronicle in Chengdu, the other is that the earliest county chronicle in Chengdu is the one in the first year of Daoguang reign in Wanqing Dynasty.
Both of these statements are wrong. The earliest county chronicle is the one in the hand of the head. The original book is in the Sichuan Museum and was written by Li Min, a man from the Ming Dynasty.
He turned his head to open the torn book, and one of the pages was folded.
This part is the third volume, which includes two parts: customs records and construction records. The architectural records also record in detail the private schools, schools, city walls, offices, ancestral temples, palaces, Guanliang, temples, mausoleums, and historic sites in each region.
wait.
He pointed his head at two lines of records and asked me: "Look at these two sentences."
I muttered silently: "About 7 kilometers from the northern suburbs of Chengdu, at the southern foot of Mopan Mountain, there is a mausoleum, which should be the mausoleum of Meng Zhixiang."
I was immediately surprised and said: "Boss, this Meng Zhixiang is the king of Shu in the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms?!"
Could it be...that my face changed drastically!
He took a sip of tea and said: "Yunfeng, you are very smart. You can tell many things at once. Yesterday I got news that the owner of the ancient tomb in the sarcophagus should be a "Shang Chaan Fengyu" during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period.
.
"What kind of official is this?" I asked.
He said: "The person in charge of horses is similar to our current Minister of Transportation."
I lowered my head and thought for a few minutes, and then I understood.
I did not fabricate this silver coin out of thin air. It has a great background, and only a very few people know about it and have seen it. You are unlikely to have seen it.
The Shatuo Kingdom was in the period of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, and Chongzhou was included in the territory of the Later Shu Kingdom at that time.
The tomb of Shu King Meng Zhixiang is located at the place recorded in the county annals. Now it has become a tourist attraction. The interior is not open to tourists because there is nothing in the tomb and it was stolen eight hundred years ago.
According to our common sense analysis, a person in power will not allow another small country to appear within his own territory, right?
But this situation does occur.
Chongzhou is only a few hours' drive from Chengdu. People in ancient times had fast legs and feet, and it took less than two days to walk there.
In my analysis, the main reason is that although Meng Zhixiang was a Han official in his early years, his ancestors were actually from the Shatuo tribe and were all descendants of the Turks.
It can be seen from his tomb that the roof of his tomb is a conical structure that is very rare in the Central Plains, just like the roof of a yurt on the grassland.
They are both descendants of Turks, so he did not have the heart to destroy the Chongzhou Shatuo Kingdom in his own territory at that time, because in the end they were of the same blood and origin.
When the king of Shatuo Kingdom saw that his elder brother was not trying to mess with him and allowed himself to be an independent king, he must be trying to please filial piety, so he minted a batch of silver coins and gave them to Meng Zhixiang, the king of Shu.
A lot of silver coins may have been minted at that time.
The owner of the sarcophagus tomb was Shangguan Fengyu of the Shatuo Kingdom, who was in charge of transportation, so he embezzled some of the silver coins and hid them in his own coffin. After his death, he took them into the tomb.
We don’t need to study the meaning of the ancient Turkic characters on the front of the silver coin. We can’t figure out the meaning even if the characters are dead.
Just look at the pattern engraved on the back.
They are all flowers, including "hibiscus flowers".
What does this mean?
It is recorded in official history that Meng Zhixiang was particularly fond of flowers.
He once mobilized the whole country of Shu, old and young, to plant flowers all over Chengdu. When the flowers bloomed in September, Chengdu was covered with golden rust.
Therefore, the real reason why Chengdu is now nicknamed "Rongcheng" is this.
