Chapter 8 Illegal smuggling of magical creatures?

Although Rove subconsciously thinks of "Murder on the Orient Express" every time he rides in the car, this antique car that has been in operation for centuries actually does a pretty good job in terms of security.

Otherwise, it would not be known as safe.

I just didn’t expect that people would really die this time!

People have a natural fear of death. This emotion, unlike the blood on the ground, which can suddenly become clean after a heavy rain, will continue to intensify as time goes by.

Many wizards wanted to give up the trip, but it was impossible. They couldn't leave the train until the murderer was caught.

The Ministry of Magic sent Aurors to conduct a comprehensive inspection, and every wizard was ordered not to leave the carriage.

Rolf also accepted the Auror's questioning, but more importantly, he asked him about the details of the rescue. No one would think that he was a criminal suspect!

The Orient Express remained stationary for three days before starting again.

Downs came to visit Rove less often, but every time he came, he would bring some new information.

for example:

According to the investigation, another wizard died from poisonous tentacles; the witch was sent to St. Mungo's Hospital of Magic and has been rescued.

Another example is when the Aurors captured the house elf in the train kitchen. The house elf proactively admitted that it had used the wrong ingredients and put the poisonous tentacles...

With the house elf taking the blame for this matter, it seems that this is the end of it.

After the Aurors took away the house elf, the train started again, and Lockhart jumped out again. He claimed that he had already discovered that there was something wrong with the house elf.

Lovegood also went out early and came back late to collect material. He was going to write a report and serialize it in "The Quibbler."

While Lovegood was collecting materials, let Love help keep an eye on Luna and don't let her run around looking for harassing flies.

After rescuing people that night, he probably discovered that Rolf wasn't that bad after all. Of course, a warning was indispensable.

Luo Fu was also speechless. He was an honest man and would never have too many thoughts about a strange girl. Why were he so wary of him?

Of course, Rolf had nothing to do and stopped running around. Instead, he chose to keep a low profile and try his best to behave like a little wizard.

He started staying in the car to do his summer homework!

In his previous life, he usually started cramming in his summer homework a few days before school started. This year, he was forced to work early.

But as he was writing, Rove discovered that Professor Snape assigned almost more homework in Defense Against the Dark Arts than the other subjects combined.

Fortunately, the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor next school year is not Snape, so Rove decided to strategically abandon this assignment since no one would check it anyway.

That afternoon, the boy was doing his homework on transfiguration when he heard a slight knock at the door.

Luofu snapped his fingers. After the door was opened, he looked up and saw Downes standing at the door. She walked in naturally.

"Are you doing your Transfiguration homework?" The witch raised her eyebrows and said, "I'm good at this stuff. I used to be Professor McGonagall's favorite at Hogwarts."

Luo Fu lay on the table and said without raising his head: "You have something to say."

The witch sat down by the bed. She hesitated for a moment and lowered her voice: "I think you have already guessed my identity, right?"

The young man shook his head and said, "I can't guess."

"Okay, I'm actually an Auror, and my real name is Tonks." The witch said calmly.

After hearing these words, Luo Fu showed no emotion on his face because he had already guessed the identity of the other party.

But he didn't expect that this witch turned out to be Tonks.

"Our mission is to escort a prisoner to Romania. The lame middle-aged wizard who looks like a lion is our office director Scrimgeour." Tonks said.

"The two wizards who were attacked were also Aurors?" Rove asked.

"They are not Aurors, but they are also wizards from the Ministry of Magic. They were originally sent to Romania for work handover." Tonks explained.

"Since he is a prisoner, why should he be sent to Romania instead of directly imprisoned in Azkaban?" Rolf asked curiously.

"This involves extradition regulations and a lot of other weird laws." Tonks shrugged:

"Anyway, we didn't send them there in vain. The Romanian Ministry of Magic will also hand over a group of British dark wizards to us."

"So..." Luofu clasped his hands in front of him and asked, "What crime did that wizard commit?"

"Illegal smuggling of many magical creatures." Tonks glanced at the box on the bed, and her tone became increasingly serious:

"When we caught him, he also obtained a Hebridean black dragon and was preparing to transport it to Romania."

"..."

Luo Fu looked slightly unnatural, but the young man soon said in a soft and slow voice: "This kind of wizard should really be caught!"

"We have captured it, but as you can see, there were some problems during the escort." Tonks shook her head and said:

"Our delivery method was leaked, and many of his accomplices were infiltrated on the train. The house elves were under the Enchantment Curse, so they delivered the wrong food."

"What about another way?" Luofu frowned, "Can't you be escorted alone? Do you have to take this express train?"

"You don't know our Auror Director Scrimgeour." Tonks shook her head and said:

"Mr. Scrimgeour is a hard-liner. When he was chasing the Death Eaters, the director's leg was hit by a curse, but he still persisted in the pursuit. In the end, he caught the enemy, but his leg was disabled for life and he walked with a limp."

"Wizards with this kind of personality are very stubborn." Tonks sighed:

"The wizard died while escorting the prisoner. Of course he wouldn't give up. He wanted to use the prisoner as bait to catch all the enemies in one go."

"Be careful, the fish didn't catch it and the bait was lost." Luo Fu said noncommittally.

"Do you think so?" Tonks raised her head and said, "So I want to ask for your help. There must be Billywig bugs around those wizards. You can find them..."

"You Aurors can't find it, how can I find it?"

Tonks only said half of what she said. Of course, Rolf knew what she meant, and he couldn't laugh or cry: "Miss, I'm just a first-year wizard."

Do you really think of him as the first-year famous detective next door?

Rove is not Conan. Despite his identity as a primary school student, he is committed to participating in the detection of murder cases.

He's just a part-time student...veterinarian, and he doesn't want to get involved in the fight between Aurors and smugglers.

Low profile is the credo of Badger Yard!

But Tonks still persisted in persuading:

"Rolf Scamander, I know that's your real name and not some bullshit Tom!

When I entered the train, I knew you were next door and got first-hand information about you."

Tonks suppressed her excitement and whispered:

"Rolf, I know you stopped Quirrell at Hogwarts. When Quirrell stole Gringotts, I tracked him... I know how powerful he is."

The witch stared at the boy and admired sincerely: "But you can stop Quirrell, no matter what method you use, it shows that you are not an ordinary little wizard... Dumbledore also praised you very much."

"You are also the grandson of Newt Scamander, and you are very proficient in the field of magical creatures. You can see that when you treated patients and saved people that day!"

"That idiot Lovegood can't see it, but I know... you are a true genius."

"Shouldn't geniuses do things that your geniuses should do?"

"..."
