Chapter 22 Nico Flamel

If Apparition is to put you into a condom that does not match your size, and then force you to pull it out...

Then using the Portkey is like the positive and negative poles of a magnet, sucking you in first, and then popping you away like the Shinra Tensei.

Novices who use door keys for the first time will feel a sense of embarrassment similar to "my style is better than yours" because of this unexpected repulsion.

But Rove once followed Newt and illegally used portkeys to cross the border, so he had quite a lot of experience, and he finally landed firmly on both feet.

The young man looked up and saw that this was a magnificent hall, with a glossy dark wooden floor under his feet and a peacock blue ceiling above his head, with countless golden symbols floating on it, like golden koi fish.

Not far away, there is a magic fountain. In the middle of the fountain's pool, there is a group of pure gold statues:

The tallest one was a handsome wizard, who raised his wand and pointed it straight at the sky. Surrounding him were a witch, a centaur, a goblin and a house elf.

Centaurs, goblins and house elves all looked up at the witches and wizards with admiration.

Luofu instantly determined his position:

British Ministry of Magic.

He looked at the famous magic fountain with great interest. The history of this fountain is actually much older than the British Ministry of Magic.

With the expansion of the British Empire, this magical statue was looted from outside and finally placed in the hall of the Ministry of Magic.

During the goblin rebellion in the seventeenth century, the goblin statue was damaged by wizards, but as the rebellion ended, a new one was built.

Looking at it now, the color of the goblin statue is out of place with the others.

At this time, it was already night, and the Ministry of Magic had already got off work. Unlike the huge crowds during the day, only a few wizards were on duty.

"Mr. Scamander, shall I send an Auror to see you off?" Scrimgeour said.

"No need to go to such trouble, Mr. Scrimgeour." Newt said quickly: "Thank you very much for your help tonight."

"You are too polite, Mr. Scamander, please contact me if you have any questions."

Scrimgeour was not a grumpy person, so since Newt refused, he left with a group of Aurors and prisoners.

Tonks waved goodbye to Rolf.

Newt and Rolf walked towards a golden fireplace, and after getting in, a woman's cold voice sounded.

"Place."

Newt thought for a while and said: "St. James Park."

The fireplace lit up with green flames, and Luo Fe felt like the world was spinning. When he opened his eyes again, he appeared in a blue police box.

When Rove walked out of the police box, not far away was St. James' Park.

St. James's Park is located in the center of London, adjacent to Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, and St. James's Palace.

It was originally a deer hunting park for King Henry VIII of England. Later, it was turned into an execution ground during the Victorian era, and now it has been turned into a park and golf course.

Even at night, there are still many citizens and tourists.

"How do we get to Nico Flamel's estate?" Rove asked.

"Take out the invitation and someone will come to pick us up."

Newt and Rolf took out their invitations and sat on a bench in the square. Two boxes were placed on the ground. While they were waiting for someone, they fed the partridges flying around.

The ancestors of these partridges were a gift from the Russian ambassador to the "Happy King" Charles II. Over the centuries, they have multiplied and are now as dangerous as the monkeys in Mount Emei.

They even attack tourists for food.

After waiting for about five minutes, a black car sped by and stopped not far away.

It was a classic car with graceful lines. The body was flat and wide, giving it a very classic beauty.

"Hello! Hello!" came the English with a French accent in the car, "Is this Mr. Scamander?"

Luofu looked up and saw that the driver was an old man with white hair, holding a cigar in his mouth and wearing black sunglasses.

"Nico, why are you here in person?" Newt walked over in surprise.

The old man in a white robe got out of the car, stretched out his hand to Newt with a graceful attitude, and said with a smile:

"Of course I'm here to greet you. I'm sorry that you have to come all the way from Romania because of my funeral."

Newt seemed to be afraid of hurting Nico, so he shook hands with the old man carefully.

"This must be Rolf." Nico looked at the blond boy, stretched out his hand to him, and said with a smile: "Hello, I am Nico Flamel, just call me Nico."

"Hello!" Rolf imitated Newt and held the old man's hand very gently, but Nico still took a breath of air.

Luofu quickly let go and apologized. The old man rubbed his palms, winked at the young man and said:

"For an old man who is over 600 years old, his body and bones are definitely not as strong as those of a young man."

"Let's go, I'll take you to the manor."

Nico Flamel sat in the cab, and Newt and Rolf also got into the back seat of the comfortable and luxurious car.

Luofu looked at the car. After being expanded with the Invisible Stretching Charm, it looked more like a small house. In addition to small bookshelves, there were all kinds of pastries and a free-standing magic wine cabinet.

There are several bottles of 1882 Lafite placed in the magic wine cabinet.

Luo Fu was a little stunned. He just said that he came from an ordinary family!

The car quickly left St. James' Park and sped down Thames Avenue. Through the window, Rove could vaguely see Big Ben and Tower Bridge in the distance.

"Nico, you still like racing so much." Newt smiled.

"In recent years, I haven't smoked very often." Nico picked up the cigar and started smoking. Large clouds of smoke filled the surroundings, but the smoke from the cigar did not interfere with the seats behind him.

It's as if there is an invisible barrier.

"Since Brezhnev's death, I have driven very little in the past few years... He is an interesting car buddy."

Luo Fu was also surprised. He knew that Xun Zong was an avid car collector, but he didn't expect that he and Nico Flamel were still car buddies.

"What kind of car is this?" the young man asked curiously. He just saw the car logo and didn't recognize it.

"The Stypunk car I have treasured for many years was a customized model back then, but the company has gone bankrupt."

"..."

Nico seemed to be a really experienced driver. He suddenly increased the accelerator and drove towards Westminster Bridge.

Rove also wanted to praise Nico for his driving skills, but as soon as this idea came up, the car rushed off the bridge and fell towards the Thames River.

"..."

The car landed on the water, and Luo Fu, who was sitting in the car, did not feel any vibration, but was very stable.

The car just started speeding on the river, and Rove could see the infinite scenery on both sides of the steamy Thames River.

The Muggles couldn't see the car, and the busy transport boats on the river all jumped out of the way when the car came over. When it passed, they returned to their original positions.

The speed of the car was getting faster and faster, and Luofu felt that pictures kept flashing in his field of vision:

Stretching and winding mountain peaks, vast wilderness, low rolling hills, cornfields steamed by heat waves...

Everything in front of him was like an impressionistic painting with elegant ink, or more like a movie presented in front of Rove's eyes in fast forward.

After an unknown amount of time, Luo Fu, who was leaning on the comfortable leather seat, opened his eyes. It turned out that the car had stopped in front of a building.

Nico Flamel smiled and said:

"Welcome to my manor."
