Chapter 36 New York Zombies

The Auror office is very large, filled with desks, separated from each other by baffles, forming many small cubicles.

Less than half of the tables were empty, probably for missions or meetings, and the remaining Aurors were busy in their respective positions.

When Luo Fu and Margery walked into the office, the originally noisy room seemed to have pressed the volume down button, and the sound dropped significantly.

Everyone knows Margaery, even the intern Aurors who have just arrived know her... not only because the girl is beautiful and charming, but also because she is the precious daughter of her immediate boss.

If you can catch this, you will have to work for twenty years less... Not to mention the Auror office, even the many single wizards in the next department are staring at this delicate rose.

But although the rose is beautiful, it has a bright poisonous thorn. Margaery has many suitors, and so far she has not seen any boy get close to her.

I didn't expect to see her holding a boy's arm and walking into the room with a smile on her face today... It was simply heartbreaking.

Rolf felt that every pair of strange eyes were staring at him, but he often enjoyed this kind of attention at Hogwarts, so he didn't care at all.

"Hey, Margaery." A young witch hurried over: "Mr. Kowalski is in the interrogation room, interrogating the prisoner."

"It's okay, Tracy, I'll just go to his office and wait." Margaery smiled.

Tracey hummed. She ignored Margaery's weird outfit and turned to look at the blond boy curiously. She suddenly looked surprised and said:

"Mr. Rolf Scamander? Hello!"

Luo Fe was a little surprised. "You know me?"

"Yes, there is a photo of you in the Daily Prophet." The witch looked very excited. She stretched out her hand and said:

"My name is Tracey, and I've noticed you since Rita Skeeter's report last year."

"I've been paying close attention to Blake's recent incident... You relied on your keen insight to catch Pettigrew and help Blake escape. It's really admirable!"

Luofu shook hands with her and said with a smile: "I'm just lucky.

Tracey seemed to have really been paying attention to Rove for a long time. She talked endlessly about her praises and asked many questions.

After a while, Tracy said sheepishly:

"Sorry, I was a little excited and maybe I asked too many questions."

"It's okay. I heard a great wizard say that a good Auror is always curious about everything." Rolf smiled.

He spoke well and showed no impatience at all, not like a thirteen-year-old boy at all.

Tracy led the way, and Margery leaned close to the boy's ear, her lips only a few inches away from him. She asked in a low voice:

"Which great wizard said that?"

Luo Fe lowered his voice and said, "What I just said."

Margaery almost burst into laughter. She stretched out her hand and pinched the boy's earlobe, and said in a disgusted voice: "Just say what I said next time!"

Luofu gave Margery a roll of his eyes and gently patted the girl's slender white hand away.

The few of them were walking and chatting, and along the way, Rove saw various prisoners being examined by Aurors.

One of the wizards had the loudest voice. He shouted unconvincingly:

"Why are you arresting me? I just picked up a piece of rope, and you Aurors arrest people randomly... Is there any law?!"

"Shut up!" a middle-aged wizard scolded: "Why didn't you tell me that there was a wild unicorn tied behind the rope?"

Luo Fe watched with great interest and found it very interesting, of course... provided that it was not him who was being interrogated.

As several people entered the office, the Aurors became even more noisy, and everyone speculated on his identity.

Tracy helped make two cups of coffee, then turned around and left the room without further disturbing the two of them.

Luofu sat on the sofa, and Margaery also sat down. She also raised a beautiful black stocking leg, put it on the young man's lap, and said hehe:

"Okay, little Luofu, you have captured a female fan so quickly. When do you plan to take her out on a date?"

"Don't talk nonsense, I'm a serious person!"

Luof reached out and grabbed Margaery's restless legs to stop her from moving. He raised his head and stared at a blackboard.

The blackboard was covered with photos, and the content of each photo was horrifying:

One man's lips were twisted, and he rushed towards the other man like crazy, opened his mouth and bit, tearing off a lot of flesh and blood, and swallowed it directly.

There is also a photo of a witch. She grabbed a man and gouged out his eyes like crazy. The man opened his mouth and screamed, and she bit off his tongue and spit it out from her mouth...

Every photo is chilling to look at.

Margery followed Rolf's line of sight and whispered: "This is a recent attack. Muggles call it zombies."

"Zombie man?" Luofu raised his eyebrows.

"They will suddenly go crazy and attack others, just like zombies in Muggle movies, but they are not magical."

Luo Fe stared at the photo, looking at the faces of those people, which were all gray and white, and he was thoughtful.

At this time, the door was opened, and a group of wizards walked in. At the front was a blond, middle-aged man with a short beard and a hooked nose.

The man is Queenie and Jacob's son, Margery's father... Horst Kowalski.

Rolf's grandmother Tina and Queenie are sisters, so in terms of kinship, Horst is Rolf's cousin.

Behind Horst, there were two Aurors, escorting two wizards and a corpse.

Among them was the red-haired man, whose whole body was tied up. His hands were shaking like chaff and his legs were twisting around, as if he was dancing a weird dance.

There was another fat wizard. He looked haggard and had a bandage on the injured area on his neck. He seemed to have been attacked, but he survived.

The body was wrapped in white cloth and could not be seen.

"Rolph, you're back. It's so nice to see you!" Horst strode over and hugged him, almost breaking all his bones.

He looked the boy up and down carefully, then laughed loudly and said, "He's much taller."

Luo Fu smiled shyly and said, "Uncle, long time no see."

"I'll talk to you later and I'll go release some tasks."

Horst walked out of the office quickly. Apart from Rolf and Margaery, there were only two Aurors left in the room, who were guarding the tied red-haired man to prevent him from breaking free and continuing to attack others.

There was also a fat man who was the victim. He coughed and said, "Sir, I'm so thirsty. Can you give me some water?"

The young Auror hesitated for a moment, glanced at the red-haired prisoner, and his companion whispered: "It's okay, this guy was tied to death, I can keep an eye on him."

The young Auror nodded lightly and quickly walked out of the room. Only one Auror was left staring at the prisoner to prevent him from making any changes.

The Auror's entire attention was focused on the prisoner. At this moment, the fat wizard suddenly pounced on him from behind like a cheetah.

The Auror was caught off guard and fell to the ground. The fat man pressed down on him, biting his shoulder with his mouth wide open, opening a hole and causing blood to drip from his mouth.

The fat wizard wanted to continue to eat the Auror, but a slender vine came out and wrapped around his neck, pulling him back.

The fat wizard put his hands into the vines that were strangling his neck, and arched his hips backwards, trying to free himself from the vines.

But the cold vines were getting tighter and tighter. The fat wizard immediately gave up on Auror, got up and rushed towards Rolf and Margaery in the direction of the vines.

Margaery raised her wand and shouted: "Collapse."

The spell hit the fat wizard on the head, but he did not faint.

Luofu frowned, and he snapped his fingers, and vines came out of his box, like shackles, instantly wrapping around the fat wizard's arms and ankles, making him unable to move.

The young man walked over slowly, stared into the fat wizard's eyes, and then walked towards the body covered by white cloth.

When the Aurors rushed into the office, they saw the blond boy, whom everyone had just recognized as a pretty boy, squatting next to the deformed corpse that had been eaten and was observing carefully.

This picture made everyone shudder.

Luofu looked up at everyone, then pointed at the body and said calmly:

"Poisoned."
