Chapter 106 Dementors

On Saturday, the first Quidditch match of the school year will begin:

Gryffindor vs Slytherin.

The Lion and Snake Houses, who have been feuding for a thousand years, are playing the opening match. Mrs. Huo Qi, who arranged the match schedule, understands the effect of the show.

However, Slytherin, which was still overwhelmed by equipment last year, has become a laggard this year. It is really thirty years of Henan and thirty years of Hebei. Don't bully the sunset.

And Harry owns a Firebolt, which greatly widens the gap in equipment.

Even if the equipment is not comparable, the training is far from as hard as others.

There were heavy rains in November, and the members of the Slytherin Quidditch team were unwilling to leave the warm castle and go to the pitch for training.

Gryffindor is just the opposite. Under Wood's "iron-blooded" training, they can see Hogwarts at four o'clock in the morning every day.

The Gryffindor players were tortured by Wood until they sweated profusely every day, were exhausted, and their legs were so weak that they couldn't walk.

This gap in equipment and training makes the public optimistic about Gryffindor, which can be seen from the betting...the odds are as high as 7.1.

But the day before the game, the Slytherin Quidditch team suddenly applied to terminate the game for a simple reason:

Seeker Malfoy's arm was injured by a Hippogriff, and it has not yet recovered.

This reason is of course ridiculous. Malfoy was injured in September. Two months have passed and his arm is still not healed. How much do you despise Madam Pomfrey's medical skills?

But Snape still approved the request and replaced Slytherin with Hufflepuff.

The two colleges he hates most are going to fall in love and kill each other in a storm... This is a plot that only exists in his dreams.

The little badgers were confused. Why should they be allowed to go up in such bad weather? Isn’t this bullying an honest person?!

And Slytherin can't be admitted, what about Ravenclaw? Even if you choose one of the two, everyone should at least draw lots to decide!

But Ravenclaw Quidditch captain Roger Davis immediately said that he also wanted to play the game, but unfortunately he strained his groin during the Ravenclaw eagle party last night.

Rove persuaded captain Cedric to also fake an injury, saying that he had gone to the hospital for a vaginal surgery during the summer vacation and could not play now.

But Cedric really couldn't stand it, so he had to bite the bullet and participate.

Soon Saturday came, and the weather was still very bad. Hogwarts was shrouded in black clouds, strong winds, and heavy rain. People walking outside the castle seemed to be blown away even if they were a little thin.

The students of the Slytherin team looked complacent when they saw such bad weather, especially Malfoy himself...

His hands were deliberately bandaged, and he kept sighing in front of the Gryffindor table:

"I wish my arms were better! I want to race in the rain too!"

Harry stood up and wanted to smash the jam in his hand on Malfoy's face, and then ravage his face with his feet, but Ron stopped him.

Because Snape was sitting at the staff table, he looked at the Gryffindor table with a disgusting smile, and he would deduct points from anyone who dared to make a move.

However, Malfoy soon stopped laughing.

I saw Hagra dragging his Fang to the castle. Fang saw Malfoy's arm wrapped in a bandage, and imitated him, curling up one of his paws and jumping around on the ground.

Everyone couldn't help laughing when they saw the dog imitating Malfoy, and Malfoy's face turned red.

After breakfast, all the teachers and students of the school went out to the Quidditch pitch to watch today's game.

Li stood on the stage, wearing a raincoat and a hood to protect him from the pouring rain. His voice followed the microphone and echoed throughout the arena.

"Dear viewers, dear viewers... welcome to the Hogwarts Quidditch match of the 1993-94 season. I am your old friend Li..."

Before Li finished speaking, an umbrella flew over from the audience and hit him on the head.

Then came a bottle, and soon a smelly shoe flew over... Li happened to be standing downwind, and everything was flying towards him.

"The Hufflepuff and Gryffindor players have come out, and Mrs. Hooch is checking the broomsticks of both parties." Li shouted loudly.

Mrs. Hooch went beyond just checking the broomstick. She touched Rolf's Firebolt and didn't let go for several minutes. She decided to ride on it herself to test the feeling of her buttocks.

Li also focused his attention on the Firebolt and said loudly:

"To be honest, the Firebolt broom is really good. It has better balance than the Nimbus series and is lighter than the Sweep series."

"Of course, the selling price sounds a bit high, but in fact it's just like that... I calculated carefully. According to the average salary in the wizarding world, I started working on the day Gryffindor was born and earned more than a thousand years... "

"Jordan, you don't need to advertise the Firebolt!" Professor McGonagall shouted: "Hurry up and introduce the game."

"Oh, okay... Speaking of the competition, I took a look at the list and found something interesting." Li Jie said:

"That's Hufflepuff's chaser Scamander. This game actually switched to the position of seeker, and captain Cedric became the chaser."

"I think everyone is deeply impressed by Rove's scoring ability and elbowing skills." Li Fei explained:

“But in this game, it’s quite puzzling that the two veteran players suddenly changed positions.

Whether this is a trump card or a strategic abandonment of the game, we will wait and see...Okay, Mrs. Huo Qi blew the whistle, and the game begins!"

As the whistle sounded, fifteen broomsticks rose from the ground and rose high into the sky.

"The Firebolt is the Firebolt. It takes the lead and pulls the others a long way away. We have fully witnessed the speed of the Firebolt."

Li introduced in a professional tone:

"It can accelerate to 150 miles per hour in ten seconds, and its braking device is endlessly charming, making it the first choice for any Quidditch player..."

Before he could finish his words, he was slapped hard in the face, because Xia Bi was even faster than Rove and Harry!

"It's incredible!" Li roared: "The Comet 200 from decades ago was actually faster than the Firebolt!"

Indeed, very quickly, Xia Bi was blown away by the strong wind like a balloon. He shouted: "Help! Help me!"

"..."

The Comet 200 is really a backward version. Their broomsticks have stabilizing charms to prevent them from being affected by strong winds. His broomsticks, let alone the stabilizing charms, are bald at one end.

Rolf squinted and searched the sky. He had the Hippogriff Child, which could greatly improve his eyesight.

This is also the reason why he temporarily changed places with Cedric.

Rove wants to use a blitzkrieg to catch the Golden Snitch in the shortest possible time and directly kill the game.

If we play a protracted game, with Broomsticks lagging behind Gryffindor, even if Hufflepuff catches the Golden Snitch, the score gap may be too large and they may eventually lose the game.

Luofu squinted his eyes and searched. It only took him twenty seconds to find the location of the Golden Snitch. He waved his broom and flew quickly towards the distance.

"Rolf moved. He flew towards the sky. Did he see the Golden Snitch?" Li said loudly.

Harry looked confused. In such heavy rain, it was difficult for him to see his teammates clearly, let alone the Golden Snitch...

But why is Rolf so fast!

Harry didn't care to think. In panic, he could only lie down on the broomstick and spin towards Rove.

But with the same broom, Rove had already distanced himself, and he stretched out his hand to grab the Golden Snitch.

"Rolf caught the Golden Snitch!" Li yelled:

"Thirty-two seconds? A brand new record. It's so shocking and unbelievable. Rolf broke the record for the shortest game in the history of Hogwarts in such extreme weather!"

The audience at the stadium was excited.

"Wait, what is that?" Li pointed to the sky, but a burst of thunder rolled across the field, drowning his words.

When the thunder subsided, another bolt of lightning cracked the sky. For a moment, the gray sky was as bright as day.

Everyone could see the sky clearly, and saw a group of dementors emerging from the heavy rain, like tall ghosts.
