Chapter 117 The Useless Crown

Grindelwald once traveled to Avalon, and according to him, every tree there had a bloody human face.

Rolf has seen Grindelwald's elder trees and Ravenclaw's golden apple trees, and they are indeed the same.

But the olive tree in front of me is completely different. It actually has the face of Ravenclaw.

Luofu stretched out his hand and stroked it gently. Surprisingly, the face was not as rough as tree bark, but felt as smooth and delicate as a woman's skin.

The young man rubbed it carefully with his fingers for a while, then put his ear close to it, holding his breath and listening.

Shirley asked softly: "Can we see you?"

Luofu shook his head and said, "I can't hear you."

When you get close to the bloody faces of the elder and golden apple trees, you can hear a sound similar to the beating of a heart, but there is no such beating sound on the Ravenclaw's cheeks.

Of course, those cheeks are not as smooth as this face, and they feel very comfortable to the touch.

The boy wanted to cut open the branch to see if blood would flow out from it, but after thinking for a long time, he gave up.

This olive tree is very special, and obviously related to Ravenclaw, so don't hurt it.

Luo Fu's research was fruitless, so he simply ignored it and sat side by side with Shirley under the tree, looking at the calm lake surface with gleaming light.

The young man suddenly realized that someone was missing. He looked around and wondered: "Where did Hermione go?"

"Hermione...listen to me that the fruits and leaves of this tree from Avalon will have magical effects after being taken."

Shirley stretched out her hand to smooth the bangs around her ears, and whispered: "She ran to the room to find a book. She wanted to see if Ravenclaw had left any records about the olive tree."

"There are so many books, how long will it take to find them?"

"Anyway, Hermione looks very motivated." Shirley said with a smile, "She just said she wanted to read all the books left by Ravenclaw."

Rolf smiled knowingly, this was indeed something Hermione could do, but he thought about it and sighed:

"The idea is great, but I'm afraid it will be difficult to implement."

According to the letter, those books contain the magic of ancient wizards and the notes of Ravenclaw himself...the content must be extremely obscure and difficult, and cannot be learned by ordinary people.

Hermione is indeed working hard. She can be said to be the hardest working student that Rove has ever seen... bar none!

But some knowledge cannot be mastered by studying hard.

This reminded him of the classic question he had seen in his previous life:

Why doesn't Guo Jing publish a large number of copies of the Nine Yin Manual so that everyone can learn it and fight against the Yuan army together?

The reason is simple...you can't learn.

Everyone can buy books about Newton and Einstein, and everyone has a copy, and cutting-edge papers can be downloaded from the Internet - these are considered the "Nine Yin Scriptures".

But I haven’t seen a large number of physicists appear... but there have been many births of civil sciences.

This kind of high-end knowledge requires talent, and not just anyone can learn it.

Rove did not deny Hermione's IQ. She was number one in her grade. If her IQ was poor, then there would be no smart people in Hogwarts.

But Hermione is not a genius in the true sense.

The real geniuses are Dumbledore, Grindelwald and Voldemort. Shirley is also a genius, but only in the field of transfiguration.

Similarly, Rolf, who inherited the Ravenclaw Chamber of Secrets, like Hermione, really has no ability to learn that knowledge.

"What if we use Ravenclaw's diadem?" Shirley asked curiously: "Isn't it rumored that it has magical properties and can increase the wisdom of the wearer?"

Luofu smiled bitterly. He bent down and pulled out a piece of grass. After dusting off the dirt, he chewed it in his mouth and whispered:

"The first time I got the crown, I put it on my head, and then tried to solve the Muggle Poincare Hypothesis and Riemann Hypothesis."

Although Shirley didn't know what these two things were, seeing Luo Fu's expression, she knew it must be difficult. She asked, "What next?"

"My mind went blank and I couldn't figure it out at all." Luo Fe shook his head, "I lowered the difficulty again and tried a few spells that I was not very proficient in. When I cast them, I was still not very proficient."

"So, that crown cannot increase wisdom." Shirley said doubtfully:

"It's just because Ravenclaw is so smart that others think it's because of the crown."

"I asked Hufflepuff the same thing." Rolf spit out the grass roots and whispered:

"But she told me that the crown can really significantly increase a person's IQ, but only Ravenclaw knows how to use it."

Shirley was silent. After a moment, she comforted: "Maybe there are methods for using it in the books in the secret room."

"I hope so." Luofu closed his eyes, tilted his head back, and leaned lazily against the tree trunk.

"By the way, Rolf... when you were at the door just now, I saw that your face looked ugly and there was sweat on your forehead. Did something happen?" Shirley asked with concern.

"When I opened the book, I appeared in a strange room." Luo Fe opened his eyes, rubbed his cheeks, and said slowly:

"In that room, there is a sealed box. It seems to be alive and beating constantly, and there is a big tree growing on the box."

"There was also a bloody human face on that tree. It kept calling Ravenclaw, and then I woke up."

The girl with the ponytail pondered for a moment and then said doubtfully:

"Treasure chest and tree... isn't this the scene from the third painting in Nico's "Book of Abraham"?"

"Yes." Rolf looked solemn and nodded: "I saw a sword and a hat at that time, and I thought the scene described in that painting was related to Gryffindor.

But I didn’t expect to see it in the books left by Ravenclaw.”

"The entrance to the Chamber of Secrets was set up by Ravenclaw, which means that the scene in that room was also what she left behind for you to see," Shirley said.

"That's right." Rolf turned around, raised his head, and stared at the Ravenclaw's face on the olive tree.

Although she closed her eyes tightly, she seemed to be staring, listening, and considering deep and distant thoughts.

The young man murmured: "Royinna Ravenclaw, what exactly do you want to convey to me?"

Luofu thought of the countless eyes on the tree again, and the boy suddenly felt an indescribable feeling of horror that made his hair stand on end.

The girl with the ponytail looked at Luolf's lips tightened and his brows furrowed, and she vaguely sensed that he had some kind of hidden uneasiness, a kind of nervousness that was close to confusion.

Shirley folded her legs and knelt on the ground, then reached out to touch the boy's head.

Luofu slowly lay back, resting his head on the ponytail girl's elastic legs, and then closed his eyes tiredly.

Shirley untied the amulet around her neck and hung it around Luo Fu's neck. She stretched out a finger and gently smoothed the boy's frown.

In the distance, Helena's singing suddenly sounded. Her voice, ethereal and graceful, had a unique charm, echoing on the dim island.

Shirley listened quietly for a while, and when she lowered her head again, she found that Luo Fu in her arms had fallen asleep.
