Chapter 6 Kurga and the Ghost Ship

Rolf and Shirley had nothing to do and looked around the entire suite of rooms.

Indeed, as Jenny said, a small study room has been added, and the garden area has been expanded a lot, with various beautiful plants planted.

In addition, there is also a sunroom. Whether you are sunbathing during the day or observing the stars at night, you can complete astronomy homework without having to go to the deck.

Of course, what satisfied Luo Fu the most was the bedroom. It wasn't that it was luxuriously decorated, but the number... it was just one room.

It feels like taking a girl to a hotel for the first time, and the receptionist regretfully tells you that there is only one room left.

Luofu's "regretful" mouth grinned to the back of his head.

After the two of them walked around the room, Jenny also came back and brought an invitation from Captain Carlos.

So, Rove left the room and went to the captain's cabin, while Shirley stayed behind to arrange various defensive magics.

This kind of cautiousness when walking outside is still Newt's habit. He taught it to the somewhat careless Tina, and later he and Tina taught it to Rove through words and deeds, and Shirley was influenced by Rove...

This is probably the inheritance of the Scamander family.

Under the leadership of Jenny, Rolf quickly arrived at the captain's room. The decoration here was not so luxurious, but more of various navigation instruments:

There are spiral compasses used for track calculation, navigation clocks that can offset turbulence, barometers and hygrometers that measure weather, and sextants that determine longitude and latitude by measuring the height of the sun...

Speaking of the sextant, its principle was also proposed by the master of alchemy Newton.

What is an all-rounder?

Now, this is it!

Isaac Newton's name will appear in any field that surprises you, whether it is mathematics, physics, theology or alchemy, even finance, or even stock trading... even though he lost everything.

Therefore, Newton's bones were buried under the ruins of Westminster Abbey. Rolf still felt very guilty. He had looked for them some time ago...but unfortunately found nothing.

Next to a tall fireplace covered with coats of arms from top to bottom, there was an armchair, with Captain Carlos sitting on it.

He is about eighty years old, but has a strong build, a square face, a wide mouth, two bulging eyes, and white hair that presses down from both sides like a big crown.

Captain Carlos stood up, greeted him warmly, then hugged the boy vigorously, and said in a loud voice: "Rolph, are you satisfied with your room?"

Luo Fu smiled and said: "I like it very much, I asked you to worry about it."

"What's this?" Captain Carlos stared at the boy and said seriously:

"If you hadn't saved the Mayflower from Cabrosaurus the year before last, the ship would have sunk at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean.

No matter how much I do, I can never express my gratitude to you."

"Don't say that, otherwise I won't dare to come here again."

Captain Carlos laughed heartily, patted Rolf on the shoulder, motioned for him to sit down, and then walked towards a colorful cabinet with shining enamel.

"But I have to come... You have become more and more famous in the past two years. Just your stay on the Mayflower is a good advertisement."

This is not a joke. With Luofu's current fame and status, whoever sails on their ship can attract a large number of passengers.

This is the powerful fan effect!

Two years ago, Rove did not have such great influence.

At that time, he had just captured the Death Eater Peter Pettigrew and helped Black clear the unjust and false case, thus gaining fame.

But the boy's fame is basically limited to the United Kingdom. Not to mention the distant America, not many wizards know about him in the European continent across the sea.

But in just the past two years, Scamander first rescued the floating dragon boat and the representatives from various countries on the boat from the hands of the Saints, and then saved the spectators from various countries in the Quidditch World Cup final...

Overnight, the whole world was shocked, and the boy's fame skyrocketed to the point where wizards all over the world knew about it.

Captain Carlos knew that Rolf would soar into the sky sooner or later, but he didn't expect it to be so fast!

He could no longer imagine how glorious the young man's future would be!

Rolf didn't know that Carlos was filled with emotions. He sat on a large carved oak armchair covered with red velvet and whispered:

"I'm afraid it attracts more reporters."

"Rolf, you can rest assured about this."

Carlos took out a bottle of yellow-green Chartreuse from the cabinet. He returned to the table, opened the cork, poured two glasses of wine, handed one to the boy, and said with a smile:

"I will definitely ask the house elves to stop the reporters so that they won't disturb you... By the way, Jenny said you have something very important to see me about. What exactly is it?"

Luofu took the glass, took a sip of the Chartreuse, which was sweet with a hint of spiciness, and asked:

"Do you still remember that two years ago, we encountered a ghost ship in the depths of the Atlantic Ocean?"

Captain Carlos's expression gradually became serious, he clenched his wine glass and said:

"Of course I remember...why, you encountered it again later?"

"That's true, but I remember you told me that the owner of that ghost ship is your good friend?"

"That's right." Carlos sighed softly: "His name was Kurga. He bought a ship and named it Palselope. He went to sea to find the Fountain of Good Luck, and then he disappeared.

The ghost ship we encountered is the Palselope of Kurga, and I will not admit it."

"Then you must remember what Kurga looks like, right?"

Carlos didn't know why Rove asked this, but he still answered:

"Of course, we both grew up together. I remember clearly every mole on his body."

"That's good." Luofu nodded and said, "I want you to take a look at this."

The young man said, opened his black suitcase, waved his wand and cast the flying spell.

After a moment, a long object wrapped in white cloth flew out of the box and landed on the table.

Carlos looked at the long object in astonishment. He looked at Rove hesitantly and said, "This is..."

"You will know when you lift the white cloth."

Captain Carlos seemed to have a premonition of what was wrapped under the cloth. With trembling hands, he slowly opened the white cloth and saw a corpse.

Looking at that familiar face, Carlos' body trembled. He held on to the table and slowly examined the body. After repeated confirmation, he said excitedly:

"Rolf, where did you find him?"

Last summer, Rolf went to Azkaban to explore the lake where the Dementors were born, and found this body by the lake.

However, Luo Fu did not say it directly, he just gave a rough location and said:

"Is he Kurga who I found in the North Sea?"

"It's him, I will never admit it!" Captain Carlos said with certainty. He looked at the corpse and trembled:

"Just why is he... so young?"

Captain Carlos is already very old, and even his granddaughter is nineteen years old.

However, Kurga, who is the same age as him, still maintains his youthful appearance and looks like he is in his early thirties.

Time seems to have left no trace on him!

"Did he really find the fountain of good luck?" This thought emerged in Carlos's mind.

Luofu didn't know the reason either. He said softly: "I also found this next to the body."

The boy waved his magic wand again, summoning a box. He placed it on the table and asked:

"Do you recognize it?"

Looking at the box, Carlos's eyes narrowed. After thinking for a long time, he nodded and said:

"know!"
