Chapter 14 The New Minister of Magic

Rolf indeed knew most of the guests Horace invited tonight.

Some of the wizards got to know each other at the Merlin Order of Merlin award ceremony last year.

It was the Quidditch World Cup, with 100,000 tourists from all over the world. Minister Fudge took the opportunity to invite many famous wizards to participate in the Order of Merlin award ceremony.

As a recipient of two Orders of Merlin, Rove followed Newt and Dumbledore and got to know many people.

There are also some representatives from the Ministry of Magic of various European countries in the International Confederation of Wizards. Last year, Rove rode on the dragon boat with them and even saved their lives.

As for why they went to Iceland for a meeting this year and did not take the official dragon boat of the Federation...the reason was the same as Rove's: they were afraid of encountering another Saint attack.

They all felt that the Mayflower was safer and nothing would happen!

Since everyone knew each other and no introduction was needed from Horace, Rolf started chatting with them. He also took Shirley's arm and introduced her to everyone.

When many wizards saw the two of them acting so intimately, they couldn't help but feel regretful that they had not allowed their girls of the right age to get to know Luo Fe earlier.

Trying to match him up now would probably be extremely difficult. After all, just in terms of appearance, he is far different from this ponytailed girl who suddenly appeared.

Luofu greeted everyone one by one, and what surprised him the most was that he saw Ludo Bagman in the room.

The Director of the Department of Magical Sports and Sports of the Ministry of Magic completely disappeared after the Triwizard Tournament. He did not expect to appear on the Mayflower.

"Mr. Bagman, the goblins of Gringotts have been looking for you in the newspapers recently." Rolf smiled and said, "Don't you read the Daily Prophet?"

It was only after reading the newspaper that Ludo walked out of the UK and planned to go to Iceland for refuge.

During the Triwizard Tournament, he borrowed a large amount of Galleons from Gringotts and used them all to study Harrov. However, he never expected that the boy would abandon the game, allowing Swinton to win the championship.

Ludo owed the goblins a large sum of galleons and couldn't pay it back, so he had no choice but to run away and become a deadbeat.

However, in front of so many respectable wizards, Ludo still wanted to be embarrassed. He slapped him in the face and said:

"The goblins are looking for me, probably because of the treasury. My previous treasury was full and I wanted to change it to a bigger one..."

Luo Fu and Shirley looked at each other and tried not to laugh.

The surrounding wizards who did not know the truth looked at Ludo with shocked eyes.

The coffers are full?

Uncle Merlin's... Sure enough, it's faster to make money playing Quidditch. There is no football association in the world that is not greedy!

Horace finally intervened and asked: "Ludo, I heard that there are two Quidditch clubs in Spain who want to establish a new European Quidditch League, but they are opposed by the European Quidditch League?"

"You are really well informed." Lu Duo nodded and said:

"The International Confederation of Wizards and Quidditch Committee has decided that the European Quidditch Federation... has a monopoly on Quidditch in Europe, so the objection is invalid."

"Does this mean that the new Quidditch European Premier League is coming?" Horace frowned.

An old-school fan like him doesn't like any new tricks.

"That's true from a legal perspective." Ludo shrugged: "However, as the Director of the Sports Department, I will never allow the British Quidditch Club to participate."

Of course he wouldn't allow it unless... he gave him a few galleons.

Ludo heard that the two clubs launching the new league had prepared a loyalty award of more than 100,000 galleons for him, and gave him one-tenth... He agreed.

At this time, there was a sudden noise not far away, and two wizards took out their wands and started fighting in public.

Horace immediately ran over to stop it, and others gathered around to watch the fun, and some even cheered without thinking it was a big deal.

Luo Fu and Shirley didn't get close to each other and were about to leave and return to their rooms, but Nellie stopped them both.

The short-haired girl handed several small bottles in her hand to Luo Fe, and said softly: "I have checked, there is no magic potion in it...it is all water."

Although Luofu had already guessed the result, it came from Kurga after all, and it was also marked with names such as the Fountain of Good Luck. He did not give up and said:

"Miss Slughorn, are you sure it's just water and has no other effects?"

"Just call me Nelisi." The short-haired girl stared at Luo Fu and said confidently:

"I mastered the Scapin Appearance Curse at the age of eleven. When hundreds of potions are mixed together, I can distinguish the ingredients... and there is no mistaking it!"

When Luo Fu heard this, he leaned back slightly and looked at Nellie in surprise.

The Scapin Revealing Charm is a spell used to identify the ingredients of potions.

But this is something that is only taught in the sixth grade Potions class. Nellie can master it at the age of eleven...it's really scary!

She is indeed Slughorn’s great-granddaughter, and has completely inherited his talent for potions!!

Luofu handed the small bottle to Shirley and asked her to put it away. Then he looked at Nellie and said, "No matter what, thank you very much."

"You're welcome." Naili Shi smiled lightly, with two dimples on her face, and said, "Rolph, I also have something to ask you."

"What's up?"

"Margery, after staying in England for a year, will she return to the United States this year?"

Luofu raised his eyebrows and said, "Do you know Margaery?"

"Of course I know her. Ilvermorny School of Magic. Who wouldn't know her?" Nelisi smiled and said, "We are in the same school and have a very good relationship."

Nelisi suddenly reacted and frowned: "Has she mentioned me to you?"

Luofu shook his head: "Never."

"..." Nelisi muttered, looking very annoyed.

"Has she mentioned me to you?" Rolf asked.

"I mention it often." Naili Shi nodded: "Before you became famous, all the girls in our college knew that she had a very, very handsome brother."

"Later you became famous, and Margaery helped you form a support group of female fans in Ilvermorny." Nellie paused and continued:

"So far, there are 215 girls."

"..."

Just when Rolf wanted to ask how many bad things Margaery had done behind his back, Horace came back.

Nelisi asked curiously: "Grandpa, what happened?"

"An English wizard and a German wizard were fighting." Horace sighed.

"Why?"

"The British wizard said... the mysterious man is recognized as the most powerful dark wizard in history, and the other German wizard asked him... who recognized him?" Horace said.

"The German wizard also said that Grindelwald is the most powerful dark wizard in history, and said that compared with Grindelwald, the mysterious man is nothing.

Then... they started fighting."

"..."

Luo Fei, Shirley and Nelisi were all speechless for a while. They can start fighting, right?

Or do you think even Voldemort and Grindelwald have fans?

"Okay, let's not mention them anymore." Horace lowered his voice and said, "Rolf, I heard that Dumbledore and Minister Fudge had a falling out?"

"Yes." Rolf nodded and said, "Minister Fudge doesn't believe that Voldemort is back. Dumbledore and he had a bad fight and were already at odds with each other."

"Why is this so?" Horace sighed and said, "I heard Barnabas Guffey say - oh, he is the editor-in-chief of the Daily Prophet."

"Minister Fudge has put pressure on him not to accept articles attacking him and to write bad things about Dumbledore and you."

"Rolf, listen to my advice... don't offend Fudge again. He is the British Minister of Magic after all. If you offend him, you will get no good consequences."

"Offended?" Rolf smiled, looked at Horace and said:

"Mr. Slughorn, please listen to my advice. During this period, it is best to stay away from Fudge and don't get too close to him, otherwise you may be implicated."

"What do you mean?" Horace frowned.

"It means..." Luofu said solemnly:

"At the earliest Halloween, at the latest this Christmas... I will oust Fudge and let the British Ministry of Magic have a new minister."

"..."
