Chapter 56 The Origin of Avalon

Although Luo Fei had already had a premonition in his heart, he was still speechless when he heard the familiar name.

He was really speechless... He and Cassandra had a life-long friendship where they went to the treasury of King Legnac I to snatch the Sword of Gryffindor together.

It's really unkind for her to cheat on him despite such a strong relationship.

Coupled with Helena, this is the second time in a row. If Cassandra didn't do it on purpose, I wouldn't believe it even if I beat him to death!

What... Cassandra helped Rove get two wives, didn't she trick him?

One is a ghost, and the other is a widow who has lived for who knows how many years and has lost many husbands... If this is not a trap, can this be a blessing?!

Anyway, Luofu has already made up his mind:

When he gets the time turner again in the future, he will immediately go back to a thousand years ago, find Cassandra to settle accounts, and train her to avenge today!

When Queen Gros saw that Luo Fu was silent, she narrowed her charming peach blossom eyes, whispered softly, and persuaded:

"What else do you have to hesitate? If you marry me and become the King of Avalon, you will not only gain countless wealth, but you will also stay young and you will not suffer any loss."

"Aren't you going to suffer?" Luo Fu twitched his lips and said, "That's hard to say."

Seeing Queen Gros' eyebrows raised, he quickly smiled and said: "Just kidding, don't be angry... I have one more thing, I hope you can help me clear up my confusion."

"whats the matter?"

"You said before... Under the bewitchment of Scylla, Perselope chased Odysseus and left Avalon, and then the two of them suffered a curse together."

Rolf stared at Queen Gros and asked:

"I'm curious, who cursed Palselope and Scylla?"

All female mermaids descended from Palselope will develop greyscale and will die before they can survive for long.

And all of Scylla's sons will become dragons.

No matter which curse it is, it is so powerful and terrifying, and lasts for thousands of years. It is hard for Rove to imagine how powerful the being who casts the curse must be!

Queen Gros suddenly fell silent when she heard Luo Fu's inquiry. When Luo Fu saw this, he tentatively said: "That can't be said?"

"There is nothing that cannot be said. Since His Majesty the King wants to hear it, of course I will tell you everything." Queen Gros shook her head and smiled:

"It's just those old stories with a long history. Some of them even I heard from hearsay. You can just take it as a story and listen to it."

Rolf nodded. He drew his wand and waved it gently, and two chairs with simple craftsmanship appeared out of thin air. He was the first to take a seat on the chair and extended his hand to motion for Gross to sit down as well.

Queen Gros sat on a chair. She leaned back on the chair. First she closed her eyes and meditated, as if she was considering her words. After a while, she opened her eyes and said slowly:

“When talking about the Curse of the Mermaid, we have to mention the origin of Avalon Island.

In fact, it was not originally an island, but a small part of an entire continent, but that continent suddenly disappeared in the long river of history tens of thousands of years ago."

"The lost continent?" Luo Fu was stunned and said: "You don't mean... the legendary Atlantis, do you?"

"That's right." Queen Gros nodded and said:

"Plato, the ancient Greek historian of magic, named the lost continent Atlantis in the Dialogues."

“And the ancient Indian Rig Veda calls it Lemuria;

The aboriginal people of South America, in stories passed down orally, call that continent Mu...these names all refer to the same place."

"On that ancient continent, there is still a group of creatures that use magic. They are called ancient wizards by later generations."

"This group of ancient wizards has a highly developed civilization - the Philosopher's Stone, the Stone of Destiny, the Elixir of Life, the Fountain of Youth, the Resurrection Stone, and the Invisibility Cloak - all of which were invented by them."

Gross pointed to the mural on the first floor and praised:

"There are also those magical creatures, including you and me, giants, centaurs, goblins... they are all created by combining their powerful blood with ordinary animals on the earth."

"The ancient wizards have made achievements in a series of fields such as magic, smelting, astronomy, alchemy, potions, biology, etc. that are difficult to imagine and difficult for us to pursue now."

Queen Gros recounted the glory of the ancient wizarding kingdom, and she quickly sighed:

"But even such a brilliant civilization was eventually destroyed in the doomsday catastrophe."

"According to records, on the day of the Doomsday, every hill on the entire continent turned into a volcano, erupting at the same time, shooting ashes, smoke and fire into the sky, and the sky and the earth changed color.

The earth cracked, swallowing up palaces, cities and kingdoms, chunks of land sank, and the boiling ocean poured in."

Gross sighed, looked at Rolf sitting beside him, and said:

"In an instant, the greatest wizarding civilization in the world ceased to exist, and the dream kingdom built by it also collapsed..."

"What exactly is the doomsday catastrophe?" Rove asked: "Is it man-made or a natural disaster?"

"No one knows." Gross shook his head and said: "But I am more inclined to man-made disasters... caused by a being more powerful than the ancient wizard."

"Because if it was just a natural disaster, the prophets among the ancient wizards would have divined it long ago, but until the doomsday disaster came, they saw nothing, as if they were blind."

Rolf narrowed his eyes and suddenly remembered the savior Hufflepuff had mentioned to him who had resisted meteorites, protected the entire clan, and taught many magics.

Could it be that he was responsible for the apocalypse?!

"Avalon... is a small piece of land that was separated from the continent when the doomsday catastrophe came." Gross continued softly:

"Under the magic of the ancient wizard on the island, it luckily escaped the doomsday catastrophe."

"Ancient wizard?" Luofu widened his eyes and said, "Is there an ancient wizard on the island?"

"Yes!" Gross nodded, "However, after the doomsday catastrophe, he was killed by a coalition of humans, giants, centaurs and goblins."

This chapter is not over yet, please click on the next page to continue reading! "Before his death, the ancient wizard used magic to prevent the coalition forces from finding Avalon, making it wander on the sea forever without a fixed abode."

"The three mermaid sisters on the island are powerful creatures created by the ancient wizard using his own blood, specifically to protect the island." Gross said.

"While the ancient wizard was still alive, he made them sign a blood contract to protect the island forever.

Anyone who breaks his oath and leaves without permission will be damned forever."

Luo Fu suddenly realized that the whole thing was like this.

He thought for a while and asked keenly:

"You just said...in order to prevent the coalition forces from finding Avalon, the ancient wizard used magic to make it float on the sea forever.

But hasn’t this island always stayed in the North Sea?”

Luo Fei felt strange about this matter very early on.

According to Homer's epic, Avalon is located in the Strait of Messina between Sicily and Italy.

The record of the location of Avalon in the document "Vita Merlin" is located in the southwest of Greenland.

Classical records from the Far East also say that the island is located in the South China Sea, and ancient emperors once sent sorcerers to the island to search for the elixir of immortality...

According to these records, it can indeed be proved that Avalon was wandering around on the sea.

But in fact, it has clearly been staying in the North Sea for at least hundreds of years.

"That's because a thousand years ago, when this island drifted into the North Sea, a fierce battle took place on the island." Gross explained:

"The impact of that battle caused the entire island of Avalon to sink and become trapped in the North Sea."

"Is it the battle between Salazar Slytherin and those two mysterious wizards?" Rove guessed.

Hearing Luofu's words, Gross suddenly laughed, raised her head and said:

"Their battle is far from reaching the point where they can sink Avalon."

"Who did that?"

Queen Gros shook her sleeves, raised her wrist slightly, and looked out the window. She smiled, put away her gaze and said:

"The third of the three mermaid sisters, Scylla, and her second sister, Siren...their sister, Ni Qiang, fought so hard that they almost sunk Avalon!"
