Seventy-one. Dreaming again

"Mr. Lu Li...Mr. Lu Li?"

As the psychiatrist called, the black eyes gradually regained focus.

The ink-stained quill fell on the paper: "Mr. Lu Li, you can speak now."

Lu Li looked out the window. The mist-shrouded, cold-toned Belfast looked gloomy.

The Emerald Dream is not continuous.

Lu Li lowered his eyes, and the psychiatrist walked out of the clinic with a surprised look.

“Da Vinci Block.”

They got on a rental carriage on the street and took Lu Li to Mrs. An Lei Art Gallery.

The second time I met Benjamin a little earlier, the idle Benjamin, a part-time employee and security guard, faced the vacant gallery.

"Sir, you came at the right time. We still have half an hour to close. The gallery environment is quiet, so you can enjoy the art without being disturbed."

"I am an exorcist, here to investigate the ghost incident in the gallery."

Partly happy, partly worried, and partly hesitant, Benjamin asked tentatively: "Then the price..."

"unnecessary."

Benjamin observed Lu Li, who had a tall figure, valuable black windbreaker and shirt, rare black hair and black eyes, and a demeanor that was more mysterious and trustworthy than that of an aristocrat.

Feeling that it was Belfast, Benjamin believed in Lu Li and gave the gallery full authority to Lu Li as the gallery owner. Of course he knew how much these collections were worth.

Waiting for Benjamin to leave, Lu Li walked with echoing footsteps to the depths of the gallery, in front of the oil painting titled "Mrs. An Lei's Daughter".

As night fell, before Anna woke up, Lu Li took off the oil painting, turned around and walked outside.

Before leaving, Lu Li did not forget to lock the door of the gallery, took the oil painting with him and got into the waiting rental carriage, and returned to the Sailor Quarter.

It is difficult to describe this behavior as exorcism, theft or hijacking.

cough

The sound of a toddler coughing could be heard next door, followed by the mother's gentle comfort.

Wow

The sound of cooking and frying food and the aroma of fried fish wafted from the corridor.

Bang!

The floor followed the shaking sound of the door slamming to block the sudden quarrel.

The wick flame in the oil lampshade swayed slightly, and the light and shadow in the living room swayed accordingly. As time passed, the shadow gradually returned to stability.

The street view outside the window was hazy due to darkness.

Lu Li sat quietly behind his desk, closing his eyes and waiting, as if he had become one with the solidified space.

At a certain moment, the color of the oil painting became brighter, and an outline gradually emerged from the oil painting.

Lu Li, who was taking a nap, opened his dark eyes and turned his head to look at Anna, who kept climbing out of the frame, her movements frozen.

Anna blinked her eyes gently, grasped her hands in vain, and made a grimace that she thought was evil: "Ouch~"

"Need help?" Lu Li responded calmly and gently.

"Ahem..."

Shy Anna returned to normal uncomfortably

"I am the elf in the painting, um... a human being." Then she pretended to be reserved and ladylike, and said in unfamiliar "aristocratic language": "So you bought this painting?"

"Um."

"Well...human being...what...do you wish for? This won't work...you want it?"

Anna hesitantly went on.

"Actually, you are a ghost, right?"

Lu Li's calm words successfully rescued Anna from the dilemma, and as expected, because the ghost identity was not feared and disgusted, Anna, who lacked friends, regarded Lu Li as the person to confide in.

There are no more pedestrians on the street outside the window, and the voices next door have turned into faint snores and murmurs in sleep.

"Well...it's so late, are you sleepy, Mr. Lu Li?"

By the time Anna noticed the alarm clock, there were only three hours left before dawn.

"No."

Although he had heard what Anna told him countless times.

The considerate Anna didn't think so, so she embarrassedly asked Lu Li to go to sleep, looked away and whispered: "Anyway, you have already... bought it..."

Lu Li did not refuse anymore, nodded gently and said, "Good night, have a sweet dream."

"Good night."

Anna watched Lu Li return to the bedroom, lay down to rest without closing the door, and then drifted back to the oil painting.

Lu Li did not fall asleep, after all, he was in a dream.

In the quiet night, he silently sensed the existence of the cursed title.

The unrelated "Blooded One" and "Tree Whisperer" cannot sense it, and the "Lighthouse" originating from the Emerald Dream is also difficult to sense. But surprisingly, the "Dream Man" senses the chaotic light group in the hazy state.

That's where Anna is.

Do ghosts also dream?

Lu Li approached the dim light and blended into it.

Soothing and sweet musical instruments sounded in the ears, and the long-lost warm sunshine poured in. On the grass of Himfast Cathedral, Anna in a tuxedo held the hand of Lu Li in a white wedding dress.

"Are you willing to marry this gentleman?" the priest asked Anna with a warm smile.

"I do."

"So, are you willing to marry this lady?" the priest asked "Lu Li" who was covered in white gauze.

"I"

"My princess, the woman you are marrying is a monster!"

A heroic shout interrupted the words, and the intruder dressed as a knight rushed into the wedding lawn, his face blurred by the mist.

"I'm not..." Anna shook her head in panic and swung her ponytail to defend Lu Li. The next moment, her illusory hand passed through Lu Li's palm.

"Princess, I'm here to rescue you"

While Anna was stunned, an intruder rushed into the banquet. People jumped up and rushed to Lu Li, hugging him.

The fog suddenly dispersed, revealing her face clearly: she still looked like Anna.

The farce continued, and Lu Li quietly escaped from the chaotic dream and dived into more dim light groups around him.

The night was silent.

In the early morning, Lu Li woke up and woke up Anna.

As if it was an illusion or fact, Anna looked at Lu Li with a guilty and strange look. Then it turned into happiness when Lu Li was about to take her to the beach.

The horse-drawn carriage stopped in front of the guardrail of the coastal street,

It is quiet here because it is close to the elm forest.

Anna didn't have to hide herself and rushed to the beach with excitement.

Lu Li followed Anna quietly, enjoying her cheers.

After running a certain distance, Anna turned around gracefully, her clear eyes seemed to be radiating light, with surprise: "How do you know I like the beach?"

"Of course I know."

"Well..."

With a blush creeping up to her earlobes, Anna turned to the sea, picked up the conch buried on the beach, and put it to her ear to listen.

"It is said that if you put a conch to your ear, you will hear the sound of the waves..."

“You can’t hear it until you leave the beach.”

"Mom, why is this sister transparent?"

A child's voice suddenly came through the sea breeze, Anna exclaimed and hid in the inner world, and the conch fell silently into the gravel.

The mother who was not far away looked over and saw only the black-haired man bending down to pick up the conch.

"Don't talk nonsense." She touched the child's head. Some kind of worry made the mother pull the child who looked back frequently and quickly left the beach.

After mother and son left, Anna slowly appeared next to Lu Li.

The waves wash over the shoal. Looking out at the bay, Anna's hair is gently fluttering like the sea breeze.

Two figures standing next to each other.

"Thank you, Mr. Lu Li..." Anna, who had gathered her courage, said softly.

The sea breeze blew through the void next to Anna, and the conch lay silently on the gravel.
