One hundred and one. Advance and increase

The team shimmering with light walked quietly in the lonely and empty strange dense forest.

The light shed by the saplings pours into the body and eliminates fatigue. People who have experienced the malice of the terrifying forest find that they are no longer repulsed.

After ten minutes of walking, which was like an outing, they arrived at a forest cabin under the map.

There were no fresh footprints, the fireplace was cold, the cabin in the woods had not yet been visited. And as expected they should be walking ahead of everyone else.

The layout of each forest cabin is different. This wooden cabin has no deer head specimens and no bookshelves. The only thing that adjusts the atmosphere is the window sill flower pot.

Ole Lorenzo dug out the soil where the buds grew from the doorway and put it in a flowerpot.

Willett Marvin unfolded the map of the Weird Jungle. There were four forest huts left ahead.

"We should go." His companion said to Ole Lorenzo, who took out a handkerchief and wiped his palms, and followed Lu Li out of the cabin.

Before they left the forest cabin too far, they saw a swallowing darkness emerging from the depths of the eastern forest, spreading rapidly.

They returned to the wooden house, and deep darkness came together. It completely enveloped the forest cabin, with only the fluorite lamp on the table emitting dim light.

Night falls in the strange jungle.

crackle

A warm flame rises in the fireplace, casting shadows on the walls.

The eerie dense forest shrouded in night was no longer suitable for going out. The darkness and silence wrapped in nothingness seemed to be that the forest cabin was isolated from the world. Only the firelight of the fireplace shone outside along the windows, indicating that they were not alone.

The forest hut sheltered the people in the house. But it was not time to rest yet. They heard distant calls for help coming from the west, and faint fireflies lit up deep in the terrifying forest.

Someone is trapped in the sudden darkness.

Lu Li's expression moved slightly and he walked towards the door.

"Your Excellency Lu Li, I am with you." Willett Marvin stood up and said.

"Need not."

Lu Li stepped into the substantial darkness and faced the faint light in the distance.

This scene is engraved in everyone's heart. The atmosphere at this moment, that back view, is shining with light, and it will remain bright and never corroded despite the corrosion of time.

The strange forest was not disgusted by Lu Li's presence, nor did he show any affection towards it.

The team wrapped in darkness came from a forest hut on another route, struggling to hold on. But they were too far away, and when Lu Li arrived, all that was left behind were scattered debris and blood spilled on the rotten mud.

Due to Lu Li's arrival, flowers and plants emerged from the soil and bloomed beautifully and brightly.

Lu Li raised his head, and low-pressure shadows surged silently, as if the tree crown changed from hundreds of meters above the ground to several meters above the ground.

If you pick up a stone and throw it towards your head at this time, there may be a sound of hitting something.

Lu Li returned to the forest cabin with dim firelight in the distance.

bang

Not long after he left, a backpack fell from the sky.

Lu Li's return made the oppressive atmosphere in the wooden house dissipate. At least it was no longer silent.

Willett Marvin sat in the farthest corner from the fireplace. If he was too close, his armor would block the firelight.

Ole Lorenzo tends to the buds on the windowsill. The cursing title of astringency makes the buds stop growing.

Anders Stein and three others from the Giant Tree Academy distributed the food. Willett Marvin and Root also received a share, but only the four members of the Noble Council did not.

The Noble Council players didn't care. The three of them leaned in the corner, and small whispers could be heard in the quiet wooden house.

"Do you know why the third level is arranged like this?"

"This is the second level, Locke." The companion replied.

"Okay, second level." Locke glanced at Lu Li's back standing by the door: "To be honest, I can't figure it out..."

"I don't understand either, Locke. But I don't understand why you ask."

"What?"

"It's easy to understand, isn't it? Our goal is to escape from the strange jungle within a time limit, as long as we can achieve this."

"That's not what I want to say, it's...meaning. Do you remember the first level? They hid the answer within the riddle, and then made us think about it as if they gave us the philosophy of life."

The sound of breathing gradually faded away. Only the sound of wet wood popping in the fireplace and conversation were left in the wooden house.

"The first level? I don't even know how I passed it."

"Well maybe I shouldn't ask you." Locke whispered to Ole Lorenzo at the window: "Ole, stop playing with your flowers and plants."

"I don't know either."

The conversation ended in silence as Locke fell into silence, but the ripples it caused still echoed in the minds of others.

If "meaning" is crammed into every level of the competition, what is the "meaning" of this level?

Is it related to the fact that it is called the third level despite being the second level?

After a brief silence, the sound of small conversations sounded again, this time it was the players from Jushu Academy.

"Locke...Locke..."

The conversation gradually faded away, but the gentle voice calling the name was still ringing, floating from the window: "Locke..."

Locke, who showed some disbelief, stood up and walked to the window. In the darkness dozens of meters away, a woman wearing a floral dress called to this side.

"Mrs. Judith..."

Locke muttered a name and slowly walked towards the door.

Ole Lorenzo held him by the window and pointed to the third note hanging on the wall.

[If anything comes up that tries to lure you out of the cabin in the woods, ignore it. Whether it's your deceased loved one or the temptation of power]

"I know, I just want to...see her again."

Locke stared deeply at the woman in the darkness and did not move closer to the door.

As time went by, the calling woman gradually faded and disappeared under Locke's lingering gaze.

The silent and sad Locke returned to the corner, and the atmosphere in the wooden house became silent.

"Lu Li..."

The call sounded again, this time it was Lu Li.

A delicate and beautiful elegant girl wearing a white dress stood in the distance and waved gently to this side.

Lu Li stared at her, confirming that he didn't recognize her but she was indeed calling him.

Quietly watching the girl appear with joy and then disappear with sadness, Lu Li looked away and saw his companion looking at him vaguely.

"Do you know anything?" he asked with a frown.

"Anna... Mr. Lu Li, have you forgotten? That is your assistant and partner in the old days, the ghost girl Anna Bessie." Ole Lorenzo sighed.

Everyone knows the tragic story of Lu Li and the ghost girl Anna.

Some kind of non-malicious artistic treatment of the legendary figure?

Lu Li asked them to tell stories about themselves.

Ole Lorenzo volunteered. As a writer who was born into a noble family and had published literary and artistic works, he knew many stories about Lu Li.

The story in the cabin in the woods is slowly told:

From the old times to the strange times, the dark age is continuing. Caterina, Pusius, Ophelia, Andrea and Luli remember every companion told by Ole Lorenzo.

Except for Anna, who spent the longest time with him and had love in the story.
