127. Four lords go to three

The team of knights raised the farmer's head to express their victory,

He paused his movements toward the players gathered nearby and vented his frustration to the manor servants chasing behind him.

The broken lizard maid enriched the soil, the scarred cook no longer climbed up, and the strange bat shadow with cut wings fell into the earth.

Only the flower garden maintained a non-intrusive distance from them.

After clearing the garden, they began to encroach on the castle behind the putrid moat before the contestants from afar could catch up.

A Khorne Fury god type player wanted to jump over the putrid moat. When his figure appeared above the moat, the filthy sludge formed strange claws and captured him.

He and his companions on the shore attacked the silt monster claws that emerged, but the moat was continuously replenished, leading him to fall into the river.

The player of Khorne's Fury God System with scarlet lines on his body vented his magma-like violent aura, causing ripples in the moat. But as all struggles were in vain and submerged to the bottom of the river, the moat returned to a swamp-like viscous silence.

The shadow of death follows him everywhere.

The observing team therefore turned their attention to the closed castle drawbridge.

The team of knights who killed the farmer approached Claire, hoping to cooperate in exchange for a way to cross the moat.

"You shouldn't be here."

Claire just stared at the team on the other side.

"Is this some kind of prophecy, the student from the giant tree?"

They didn't know Claire, and naturally they couldn't recognize the wet black cat at their feet.

But there is no room for lies in the castle.

"The moat is as high as the city wall."

Leaving a hint behind, Claire turned around and returned to the castle without knowing why.

"Won't you stop them from entering the castle?"

Lu Li, who was following at his feet, asked calmly.

"They will come in sooner or later, and we can't deal with the Viscount alone."

This is the original plan. The four lords will go to the third, and then the players will be allowed to break into the castle, as long as they have appropriate contributions when facing the viscount.

But as the farmer was taken over by others, plans became vague and uncertain again.

"Then you shouldn't tell the team that solved the farmer."

This goes against Claire's original intention of winning the championship.

Because this means that they actually only have the advantage of one more lord than the knights. Considering that they come from the surface to fight and are not a secret shortcut, does the advantage exist?

"I think the servants in the castle will drain their power."

After walking through the porch and returning to the main building of the castle, Claire asked: "Do you want to restore it?"

"Um."

Entering a room in the corridor at random, Merchant Anthony appears at the summons, bringing the antidote, the Doomsday Apocalypse, a stomach bag, a psychic gun, parchment and parchment.

Claire played with the Doomsday Apocalypse Book, and the mysterious power linked to the chess pieces was novel even to her.

"With it can you deal with the Viscount."

Lu Li's voice from behind changed from low to high.

Claire put down the chess piece amidst the rustling of clothes: "It still can't be done. It's more useful for you to hold it than for me."

When Claire was about to pick up the parchment, the rancid smell emerged.

Lu Li, who was wearing a black windbreaker, walked to his side and picked up the Doomsday Apocalypse Book.

The rotten smell that could not be concealed emanated from Lu Li's body, forming a strange smell that made people secrete body fluids.

Putting away the props one after another, Lu Li followed Claire and left the room.

As they approached the core area along the corridor, they could hear the sound of fighting everywhere, and as time went by, they began to occasionally encounter small groups entering the castle.

Lu Li thought that Claire would speed up and even quickly approach the Viscount by breaking down the wall. She did not do this, as if she was no longer anxious that the Viscount would be overtaken by other players.

When he turned along the corridor and entered a dark corridor outside the window, Lu Li realized that Claire was wandering outside the castle with him.

"Remember everything here..."

Claire seemed to know what Lu Li was aware of and whispered at this moment.

"We got off the path for some unknown reason... and then you have to rely on your own wits."

After a brief silence, Lu Li asked calmly: "Is there anything you want to tell me?"

"Not now..."

Lu Li fell into silence and realized something was happening quietly, like a dream, like a change in a story.

Claire led Lu Li to continue their tour of the castle. If a map recorded their route, they visited every corner except for the empty core of the castle.

They gradually encountered corpses, mostly strange servants, and also the corpses of contestants who had not restrained themselves.

At a certain moment, a tremor and a cry sounded from the depths of the corridor.

Claire showed a hint of sadness.

"We should go over there..."

Walking along the long corridor engraved with traces of blood and fire, passing by crooked furnishings and fallen picture frames, to his wooden door and burning blankets, Lu Li thought of Will Ken's warning, of rising into the shadows to hear

During the conversation, some of Claire’s maxims came to mind.

The truth standing in the fog is showing its outline.

Lu Li and Claire walked into the palace-like hall.

Collapse and destruction, corpses and blood tell of the brutal battles that took place here.

Above the hall, a shadow clad in black robes leaned silently on its dark throne.

The battle has come to an end, and the surviving players are no longer wary of the shadow on the throne, and are tiredly searching for their companions and picking up broken limbs among the broken eaves and broken walls.

The familiar breeze blew beside him, and a pale and thin figure rushed into the hall, passing by Lu Li and rushing towards the silhouette on the steps.

"Mother……"

The head maid's breath was weak, and she was seriously injured, either because she escaped from the dungeon or was attacked by a human.

"Another one..."

The knight clenched his sword tightly and tried to push himself up, but was stopped by his companion, who motioned to look at Lu Li and Claire who were approaching the throne.

"Lu Li...touch your eyes...you will see the truth."

His chest suddenly felt slightly warm, and Will Ken's whispers sounded intermittently in his mind: "No matter what you see... don't be surprised... that's the truth..."

Lu Li reached into his pocket with his palm and held the true-seeing eyeball.

The world in his eyes did not change as Lu Li grasped the truth. Only a glimmer of light appeared deep in the head maid's thin body.

There crouched another Claire's shadow.

Lu Li stopped walking.

If she were Claire...

His eyes fell on the "mother" whom the head maid whispered to, leaning sideways on the throne, like a dark robe of brooding shadow.

"That's you?"

The default representative replied, Claire's whisper sounded in her ears: "Kill her, Lu Li."

The psychic gun was pulled out of its holster and put into Lu Li's hand.

"You must be ruthless..."

"...Remi?"

The head maid next to the throne slowly raised her head and looked blankly this way.

Then the breeze lifted Lu Li's arm and brushed his knuckles.

Bang!

The reverberating loud noise shook the dust, and the thin and lifeless girl knelt beside the throne, her cheek pressed against the palm of her hand on the armrest.

The aftertaste echoes, the smoke rises, and the colors are mottled and faded, forming a beautiful and thick oil painting.

Four lords...go to the other four.
