118. Newspapers

"'Legendary heroes of humanity will soon arrive at the Cape of Storms'... Heroes of humanity? Shit... I never got rescued."

The noseless man who read the newspaper loudly in the tavern sneered and threw the newspaper away.

"You can go find him to 'rescue' you. Storm Point is not far from the town." His companion said sarcastically.

"Forget it, but I am very interested in "rescuing" him."

The noseless man's obscene words caused laughter in the tavern.

A bandage silently wrapped around his neck. The feeling of being numbed by bad alcohol made him unaware. The gradual lack of oxygen in his head made it difficult for him to breathe. He subconsciously raised his hand to touch his neck, and the bandage suddenly tightened his broken neck bones.

The crooked corpse fell down with the wooden chair. His companions were still laughing at him at first, but they didn't realize he was being attacked until fleshy blood and blood seeped out of his nose.

He stared at the silhouette that had retracted the bandage and wrapped it around the filthy bandage, and screamed: "What have you done! Damn alien"

The bandage wrapped around his neck like a living thing. The threat of death made him wake up. He reached out to grab the rusty sword at his waist, and then another bandage bound his wrist.

If someone stood up at this time and cut off the seemingly fragile bandage, he could be saved. But no one did so, and the man soon died of suffocation and pain.

thump

The second body fell, and the other guests in the hotel watched him warily.

"Boy, no matter who you are, you broke the rules." The tavern owner stared at him.

"They insulted The Exorcist."

The outline of the bandage opened hoarsely, then wrapped back into the blood-stained bandage.

"I don't care about any bullshit exorcism..." The sneering boss suddenly thought about what kind of exorcism this person really dared to kill for. "If you kill someone in Sandstone Town, the church will not let you go."

The outline of the bandage threw a black shadow, hit the counter, bounced up, hit the boss's chest and then fell back to the counter. Staring at the polygonal matte stone, greed appeared in his eyes: "You killed two people."

The second strange currency flew in and was caught by the boss who was well prepared.

"It's more difficult for two people to handle it than for one person..."

He wanted to continue to extort some money, so his hoarse voice sounded: "Do you want to become the third one?"

"Then I have no choice but to suffer this loss." The boss didn't care about the threat and put away the two precious and strange currencies.

"The body is yours."

The boss scolded the man to dispose of the body quickly, as it could still be worth dozens of shillings while it was still fresh, but his smile could not hide that the rusty knife should be the same thing as the noseless man, and together there was almost a strange currency.

Even if he was discovered and fined by the Shashi Cult afterwards, he would still make some money.

"...Troublesome hunter."

Watching the outline of the bandage leave, followed by several more greedy customers, the boss complained in a low voice.

This happens almost every day.

Weird Currency is a universal currency, but few people want to spend it, especially when the shilling is losing value every day.

Throwing out two strange coins and giving up searching for corpses, the generous and generous bandaged man easily attracted the attention of these hyena-like hunters.

The four hunters quickly formed a loose team and followed the bandaged man at a distance, watching him enter a narrow alley.

Two hunters followed, and the other two went around to the other end of the alley to block him.

Tens of seconds later, they walked out of the alley and saw their companions standing at the entrance with ugly faces.

"You let him run away?"

The person who answered looked at the end of the road with an unlucky look on his face and said, "He is from the Pulisi motorcade."

A motorcade stopped at the edge of the town for repairs, and they saw the bandaged man returning to the front row of the carriage.

Even the hunter who is a lone convoy employee is unwilling to attack, let alone the enemy who has returned to the convoy.

They don't want to provoke lions, especially in the wild. At least the pagans won't beat, curse and kill you at every turn, or put a horse rope around your neck in the wilderness like chasing prey and treat you like a meat pig.

.

"When did the vulture of the team take action so generously?"

They cursed and cursed, and the loose band gathered by greed dispersed again.

a carriage decorated with furs and skulls,

The short, hunched silhouette of a monkey kneels in front of the strong figure on the seat, cutting food for him.

The bandaged man said to him: "Lord Lu Li is at the Storm Cape."

"Who is Lu Li?" Bastos chewed the raw meat that oozed blood like sauce, and remembered who he was talking about: "What does that have to do with us?"

"We need to help him."

Bastos looked at the bandaged man strangely.

"Master, he wants to betray you..."

"Shut up."

Telling the thin monkey slave to shut up, Bastos stared at the bandaged man: "Why should I do this?"

"Lord Lu Li has no reason to come to the deserted land. Maybe he needs our help."

"Your reasons don't convince me at all, but I'm happy to deal with a big shot." Bastos grabbed the dinner plate in front of him and poured it into his mouth together with the knife. He refused and the knife pierced his cheek, making him look hideous.

"Tell the convoy to finish repairs and we have to get to Storm Point before dark!"

Deep, dark, ferocious claws rose from the sky, grabbing at the faint light behind the darkness.

Lu Li was unlucky. The Disaster Lightstealer forced him to stay in the Cape of Storms for the next few days.

Wearing a cloak and hiding the crown of thorns in his stomach, Lu Li, disguised as a hunter, put down his baggage and stayed at a trustworthy stone pillar hotel. This hotel had been seen by Lu Li in the old days, and it continues to this day, but maybe the owner has changed a long time ago.

Several batches.

At low tide, the dozen or so stone pillars standing at Storm Point are like lighthouses on the sea, and the houses are like lone houses on the edge of the cliff.

This place is much more withered and decadent than the last time I came here. Maybe it’s because the Dark Ages made humans no longer need ports, but it’s more because of other reasons.

The owner of the hotel, a widowed woman, told Lu Li that the curse killed many residents a few months ago. Even if the gods of the Cape of Storms removed it, it could not reverse the decline. The residents left one after another or settled in the outer circle of the Cape of Storms.

Stay away from the island-like stone pillars.

Lu Li returned to the hotel upstairs, where he could overlook the deep sea water creating the sound of waves in the dark world. If there were no light stealers and primitive darkness, the scene outside the window might be refreshing.

It was difficult for the thin wooden board to isolate the sound. Lu Li quickly stopped talking to his boss and friends downstairs and heard: "Poor Carolina, she lost her Beru, and now she has also lost her only..."

Hearing the familiar name, Lu Li put down his baggage and returned downstairs.

"Where is the Carolina you are talking about?"

Maybe Lu Li had always been very polite and thought he was a little embarrassed to be a woman from a certain family or church: "The soundproofing is bad, right? Do you know Carolina?"

"We came to Cape Storm in the same convoy."

Before the woman could say anything, her friend couldn't wait to tell Lu Li: "Go to the westernmost stone pillar. Maybe you can see her one last time."
