161. Bizarre Syndrome (1)

The slightly fishy sea breeze from the coast stirs up the dull, damp smell of rotting wood in the room.

Stepping on the swollen floor, Lu Li couldn't find any objects in the room that matched his memory. When he returned to the street, the distant church bells could be heard in the distance.

Night is not far away.

Who is the bell ringer?

He walked through many places, but there was only dead silence. From the unresponsive Lu Li, he looked to the east where the bells were ringing.

There was a Church of Our Lady there, if memory is still accurate.

Maybe the answer was over there, but Lu Li remembered something, went back to the room through the window, walked into the dark bedroom with turbid and oppressive air, closed the door that was obscure and scratched the floor, and locked himself in a dark cage.

Darkness came unexpectedly. In the deep silence where only breathing and heartbeat could be heard, uncontrollable evil spirits grew from the darkness, and unstoppable fear engulfed him every second.

When the darkness and panic reached its peak, Lu Li opened the door to escape from the darkness.

Disaster still exists in the world.

They are still on this dark land like the other world.

Lu Li, who was sweating slightly on his forehead, didn't go looking for the lighthouse where the bells came from, just because he didn't want to risk the danger when night fell.

There is no evidence that one will actually die if they die here...and there is no evidence that one will be resurrected.

However, making a basic fire was difficult for Lu Li. The seaport city and the continuous rain made everything damp. Lu Li pushed open all the doors in the long house. There was no flint. The flint in the oil lamp was no longer usable, and the container for storing kerosene contained only

A thin layer did not float on the seeping water.

The unsettling night was approaching, so Lu Li could only put the fabrics, scraps of wood, and unidentifiable wet photos he had picked up in his arms and dry them with his body temperature.

Among them was a candle that was broken and missing due to the wick sticking to it. But it might still be lit.

Before you can't stay in the longhouse due to darkness, take the time to pile the firewood you found in the "Detective Agency".

Deep in the darkness, the invisible claws of the terrifying monster quietly gathered and clawed at the back of Lu Li, who was holding the wet charcoal.

About to touch it, Lu Li walked into a door with a faint light.

The strange claws and lingering cryptic whispers suddenly disappeared.

Wow

Lu Li threw the wet charcoal in his arms to the floor and looked behind him. The corridor outside the door had become a dark wall.

Unable to light a fire in the room that was already difficult to see, Lu Li crawled out of the dark room.

Squatting on the corner of the street, he took out a barely dried fire starter. Unfortunately, he couldn't find a bowstring or string in the longhouse, so Lu Li could only make a fire by rubbing dry sticks with his hands and drilling wood with difficulty.

There was still some time before dark, so Lu Li was puzzled and fortunate that the strange fog did not emerge from the deep sea.

Tonight there is only the misfortune of night.

Maybe.

Drilling wood to make fire took more energy and stamina than imagined. Every few dozen seconds, Lu Li was forced to stop due to swelling and pain in his arm, but it was best to just let the smoke emit from the depression. As the accumulation of failures continued, even a short rest would

My sore muscles could not be relieved, and my palms began to tingle where the rough and uneven skin of the wooden stick had scratched my skin.

In the empty and silent street, a figure knelt in the corner, rubbing his hands together tiredly and frantically. Green smoke rose as the wooden stick rotated, and sweat beads flowed along his cheeks, gathered on his chin, and dripped into the bluestone slab.

In the mark.

Finally, dozens of minutes later in the evening, invisible sparks lit up in the hazy darkness. Lu Li raised his sore and trembling hand, took the wooden stick filled with sparks and carefully poured it into the tinder next to him, then picked up the tinder and continued to blow.

Let the sparks ignite the fire and gradually burn it.

Sweat dripped down his face and arms. Lu Li carefully held the fire, walked into the quiet room that was isolated from the wind, put down the swaying flame, continued to add dry wood, and then started the fire. The firewood was placed next to it for drying. The outermost periphery looked like a brazier.

Surround it with charcoal and wood blocks.

In front of a small fire, Lu Li spread out his palms. The price of successfully making a fire was that the skin on his palms was broken and blistered like a burn.

There was no water or bandage. Lu Li simply tore off his shirt and wrapped his palms, took out the candle from his pocket and burned it on the fire. When it was soft, he revived it and glued it back into a whole crooked candle.

After doing this, no more light will shine through the window.

Darkness enveloped Belfast.

There was no time to search for food or reinforce the hiding place, so Lu Li endured the poisonous smoke rising from the wet firewood, simply sealed the windows again, and then moved the fire to the kitchen.

Most of the smoke leaves the chimney, making the room less smoky, but also making it easier to spot.

Lu Li could only wait until the firewood was fully dry before putting it in, hoping that the night in Belfast would be as quiet and empty as the day.

The cramped environment is reassuring.

Lu Li, who was all dirty and dirty, sat by the stove, the firelight shining on his face. Only then did he have time to think about what happened, but because he was tired, he slowly fell asleep leaning against the cupboard.

What woke Lu Li was thirst.

The dry eyes cannot move, the dry tongue cannot moisten the dry lips.

As if it had turned into a furnace, every dry cell in his body was telling Lu Li that he needed water.

Outside Rodster Harbor was an endless expanse of sea water, but Lu Li was having trouble thinking due to lack of water.

The stove was still burning. A piece of wet charcoal put inside in advance kept Lu Li from disappearing in this long night. Adding some firewood made the stove strong again. Lu Li took out a burning stick and used the faint light to go to the corridor and enter the debris at the end.

After a while, he bit the wooden stick and moved the kerosene barrel towards the room while enduring the pain in his palms.

The strange noise caused by Lu Li echoed in the corridor.

The water and kerosene in the oil drum have long been interpenetrating and mingling with each other, and due to the shaking and mixing when moving, drinking them rashly is the same as walking into darkness. But looking at the bright side, as long as they are separated, Lu Li can get kerosene and water at the same time.

Lu Li found some containers in the kitchen and made a simple still next to the stove.

The subsequent distillation is full of uncertainty. Whether the crude still is useful or whether it can purify drinking water. The only way to identify success is sight and smell.

Filling the empty cans and placing them on the stove, Lu Li endured his thirst and waited for more than ten minutes. The earthen bowl placed at the end of the still was nearly half full, and Lu Li took out the earthen bowl.

The pungent smell of kerosene still lingered in the bowl. When it was raised to the level of the stove, it seemed that a layer of oil stains was floating on the surface of the distilled water.

The distilled water was still not clean enough. Lu Li scraped off the oil stains on the surface and put it back on the stove to distill it again.

After waiting for more than ten anxious minutes, Lu Li took out the twice-distilled water. The smell was much reduced... maybe he was used to the smell of kerosene.

Perhaps drinking a small amount to temporarily relieve thirst is not a big problem.

Lu Li drank the bowl of distilled water that tasted worse than the soup Anna made. After a few dozen minutes, he felt a slight pain in his abdomen. He tried to induce vomiting but it was too late. In just a few minutes, his head became dizzy and his stomach cramps became more and more severe.

Strong, unbearable nausea overwhelmed his will, and severe abdominal cramps tore apart his sanity.

The final restraint drove Lu Li not to start by the stove, but reluctantly moved to the living room, stopping at the dividing line between light and darkness.

Vomiting and stench filled the room along with pain.
