One hundred and seventy-nine. Hell town

Lu Li prefers order to chaos.

Order is the cornerstone of chaos, and it is the rule that both the weak and the strong must abide by.

Evil spirits are lawful, and their rituals can be regarded as a unique order. As long as you follow their rituals, you will be safe and sound. Unlike other weird ones, which are chaotic and disorderly.

Therefore, evil spirits are the first to leave a reputation, but they are the least feared.

If humans were asked to choose the weirdness they would encounter, most of them would prefer evil spirits.

It is obvious that this "beautiful lake town" is shrouded in order.

"Because I'm dead."

Lu Li answered that the waiter called him the "Blue Blood Sheriff".

"Hell stopped having new souls twenty years ago." That's not what Sheriff Blue Blood wants to hear: "Why did you show up."

"Because of this."

Lu Li raised his left hand, revealing the scar-like mark of an inverted pentagram on the back of his hand.

The fiery gaze that was looking at Lu Li from behind disappeared in an instant. The blue-blooded police chief stopped picking his teeth ferociously and said in a low voice: "The mark of the Devil Lord... It seems that you have made those cunning guys very angry."

"Is there any way you can get rid of it?"

The Devil's Daughter never mentioned that this possibility was slim, but Lu Li still tried to ask.

The blue-blooded police chief looked down at him with pity: "If I were you, I would spend these few days enjoying my last days."

Strictly speaking, it is twenty-four days.

"I need some maps." Lu Li said.

The blue-blooded Sheriff didn't care about the soul's death struggle. He learned that it was brought to Whisper by the devil's mark, and its novelty had disappeared. He knocked on the table to remind the waiter to entertain the new travelers in the town, and walked with heavy steps with him.

Avoiding sight, he walked out of the tavern.

The wind and sand are isolated with the door closed.

"What map do you want?" The waiter stared at Lu Li fearfully. Because there was only one body left, and because of the devil's mark.

"A map around the town, a map of this area, a map showing the town and the lair."

"What can you pay?" Greed resurfaced in the waiter's eyes.

"News from the ground."

"No payment other than souls is accepted here."

Lu Li didn't want to pay souls as payment, so he looked around at the other demons in the tavern: "Is anyone interested in news about the human world?"

In the Silent Tavern, there is only the whine of the strong wind outside the street.

The surface of the body of the black mud monster next to the table suddenly swelled, bulged, and bubbles appeared like hiccups.

Wave~

The silence still lasted.

Beautiful Lake Town is just a small town that gradually declined after migration. There are no guests, no strong people, no rich people, and there are very few local residents. They don't care about the stories on the ground, just like farmers don't care about the distant mainland somewhere.

Is there going to be a war?

Lu Li was not discouraged and waited quietly until he confirmed that no demons were interested, then left his seat and walked out.

The sweet scent of a strong soul disappeared into the tavern as Lu Li left. Soon, a demon with a back ridge that resembled a dorsal fin or a membrane wing, and many joints that looked like sarcomas, like a diseased bat, followed him out of the tavern.

In the hot wind and sand that obscured his sight, the bat demon narrowed its membrane wings and crawled to follow the shadow in front of it,

The silhouette walked into an abandoned weathered house. The bat demon folded its membrane wings and accelerated into the dim house, crashing into a bizarre dream like a fishing net.

Touching the dying bat demon with his left hand, humanity turned into light and merged into Lu Li's body.

The halo disappeared from behind Lu Li, leaving only the corpse of the bat demon covered in fleshy tumors lying on the gravel.

At this moment, a shadow penetrated the house from the roaring sand on the street.

"Private fighting is prohibited in this town." The blue-blooded police chief grinned ferociously: "You violated it."

"I don't know the rules of the town." Lu Li interrupted.

"You know."

Lu Li looked at it calmly: "You never told me this."

"...You know now." The blue-blooded Sheriff retreated into the wind and sand, and a whisper came from the line-like shadow: "Don't let it happen again."

It doesn't matter whether it found the trace and came or waited until Lu Li took action, because it was indeed observing order and maintaining order.

This is a good thing and a bad thing. Lu Li can obtain trustworthy information from the town, but he cannot make the town become his nourishment.

Lu Li squatted beside the bat demon, rummaging through the gravel for rock fragments.

The bat demon adds 0.1 points of humanity, which is about the weight of a few ghosts, but the price/performance ratio is very low... The bat demon is by no means comparable to a few ghosts, and the intermediate demon should have many souls.

Does it happen to not have much soul left?

The weathered gravel could easily be crushed with the palm of his hand. Lu Li gave up looking for the fragments and briefly used the Dreamer to cut open the bat demon's skin, smearing some non-toxic blood on the skin before returning to the tavern.

The opened door of the tavern caused the waiters and guests to look up. They saw the bloody, weak and delicious soul lingering in front of the door, and then hurriedly left without even closing the door.

Wind and sand poured into the tavern, and the whimpering continued for a moment. A slender silhouette left the seat and closed the door of the tavern, ready to move.

Close from the outside.

There was another weathered building not far from the house where the bat monster corpse was abandoned. Lu Li got into the house and was blocked by a slender clawed demon inside.

"You're breaking the town's rules."

The sand that poured into the abandoned house rose so high that Lu Li's forehead was almost touching the uncollapsed rafters, and he retreated under the force of the claw demon.

"Sheriff Blue Blood is not here..."

Lu Li retreated as the clawed demon approached, his back pressed against the wall of the weathered house, and gravel fell down.

"If you eat me, the Devil King's curse will not let you go." Lu Li, who had no way out, looked at the clawed demon.

"It can't find the devil who stole a few bites of food."

The clawed demon approached Lu Li and was suddenly swallowed up by the unfolding halo.

thump

The clawed demon's body was spit out by the dream that disappeared, and Lu Li retracted his palm.

It's similar to the Bat Demon, still about 0.1 parts human.

At the same time, a shadow appeared in the wind and sand outside the door.

"I was just defending." Lu Li looked at the blue-blooded sergeant who was late again: "It wanted to eat me, but I counterattacked. Do the rules allow for a counterattack when being attacked?"

"Get out of... town!"

The blue-blooded sergeant roared at Lu Li, who was hunting demons again. He realized why a demon would mark this soul.

He is no ordinary human being.

"Did I violate the rules of the town?" Lu Li asked the Blue Blood Sheriff, and when he remained silent, he continued: "If I violate the rules of Beautiful Lake Town, I will leave."

The unwilling blue-blooded police chief roared and retreated, only to be stopped by Lu Li again.

"Are you interested in these two bodies?"

Claw Demon and the Bat Demon next door. Resources are scarce in hell, and corpses are obviously resources.

The blue-blooded sergeant fell towards the clawed demon and stretched his facial muscles to reveal his gums: "What do you want to know?"

"How to absorb souls."

"Kill them."
